I have been trying to find this film for years - Hot Rod 1979 Movie aka Rebel of the Road full length street racing film

I remember watching this on Channel 11 KPLR in St. Louis many many years ago, on either a friday or a saturday night, late night. And I was fascinated by the all the cars. I have been trying to find this film but I could never quite remember the name, nor the actors in the film. I just barely remember the plot line. So IMAGINE my surprise, when I saw the thumbnail that looked very familiar and had the hairs on the back of my neck suddenly stand on end. Please let me know what you think of it.

AI Chatbots Show Increasing Anti-Gun / Anti-Freedom Bias, CPRC Study Finds - Ammoland.com

In a recent study conducted by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), it was found that artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are shifting further left on issues surrounding crime, policing, and gun control.

This trend raises serious concerns for those relying on these technologies for objective research and information, especially students, journalists, and social media influencers who frequently use AI to craft reports and papers.

The CPRC study examined 15 popular AI chatbots, including ChatGPT and Elon Musk’s Grok 2 (Fun Mode), analyzing their responses to a series of questions about crime and gun control. The research highlighted a disturbing shift: almost all chatbots demonstrated liberal views, particularly when it came to gun control issues. This finding is alarming for those who value a balanced perspective, as the chatbots’ influence continues to grow across media and educational platforms.

ATF and DOJ Ask 3D Printing Industry to Block Homemade Gun Parts - Ammoland.com

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Justice Department (DOJ) are asking the 3D printing industry to block the printing of gun parts.

Earlier this month, the government held an event hosted by ATF Director Steve Dettelbach and U.S. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco. The government invited federal law enforcement, members of the 3D-printing industry, and academia to the conference in Washington, DC. The goal was to pressure the industry to stem the tide of 3D-printed gun parts.

“Law enforcement cannot do this alone,” Monaco said during the meeting. “We need to engage software developers, technology experts, and leaders in the 3-D-printing industry to identify solutions in this fight.”

The ATF and DOJ discussed people using 3D printers to make machinegun conversion devices (MCDs) such as “Yankee Boogles.” A “Yankee Boogle” is a device made on 3D printers that allows a user to convert a semi-automatic AR-15 to a fully automatic firearm. It can be made on any 3D printer with under a dollar of PLA filament. The ATF claims it takes them 37 minutes to produce each Yankee Boogle.

Federal Court Refuses to Dismiss 2A Civil Rights Case Against Police Officers - Ammoland.com

Federal District Judge Joe Billy McDade has refused to dismiss a lawsuit against individual police officers for willful actions to deprive an Illinois man of his Second Amendment rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. This civil rights case was filed on February 6, 2024. The plaintiff in the case is ROBERT K. KUHLMAN; the Attorney representing Mr. Kuhlman is David Sigale. David Sigale has had considerable success in representing clients in Second Amendment cases.

According to court documents, on July 17, 2023, Mr. Kuhlman’s mother called him and the police about an alleged trespasser who would not leave her home. The trespasser was acting strangely. Kuhlman arrived at the home. He asked the intruder to leave. The intruder started to reach into a bag. Mr. Kuhlman drew his pistol and held the intruder for police. The incident occurred in Normal, Illinois.

Police arrived and searched the intruder, asked for and received Mr. Kuhlman’s handgun, then returned it to him. They transported the intruder to a facility for mental evaluation. They did not arrest or charge Mr. Kuhlman.

Later, one of the police officers, Officer Nicholas Hines, and his supervisor, Officer Serena Cunningham, filed a report to the Illinois State Police, contending Mr. Kuhlman was a “clear and present danger” to himself and others. Mr. Kuhlman had his Firearms Owner Identification Card and his Concealed Carry License revoked. Mr. Kuhlman claims the report included significant and deliberate factual errors, resulting in the loss of his Second Amendment rights.

Harris Campaign Says She Will Ban “Assault Weapons” as She Claims Gun Ownership in Debate - Ammoland.com

On September 9, 2024, the Kamala Harris campaign released a sparse set of policies less than two days before the presidential debate. The debate was held on September 10, with former President and leading presidential candidate Donald Trump. According to the British left-wing paper, the Guardian, the posting of policy positions came after criticism about the lack of policy specifics. During the debate, Kamala Harris claimed she was a gun owner and she would never take anyone’s guns. However, in her campaign policy statement, candidate Harris says she will ban “assault weapons.” While “assault weapons” is a political, Orwellian term used by anti-gun proponents, it is generally understood to include most semi-automatic firearms.

Here are the specific policies that impact rights protected by the Second Amendment and attempts of the Democratic party to exert control over the Supreme Court. The policy positions are sparse. Here are the official quotes. From kamalaharris.com:

President Biden and Vice President Harris encouraged bipartisan cooperation to pass the first major gun safety law in nearly 30 years, which included record funding to hire and train over 14,000 mental health professionals for our schools. As head of the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, she spearheaded policies to expand background checks and close the gun show loophole.

Both “gun violence” and “gun show loophole” are, again, Orwellian terms meant to deceive and promote a desired outcome. They have little to do with reality. “Gun violence” is defined to include suicides, homicides, and accidents, all of which have different causes and strategies of prevention. The term “gun violence” ties these different situations, some of which are committed with guns, into a whole to shape the narrative that guns are a cause, not a means. Fatal accidents with guns have been reduced by 94% as the number of guns in the USA per capita has risen by 4,300 percent.  As the number of guns per person in the USA increased by 4.3, the rate of fatal accidents with guns has declined from 1.84 per 100K population to .15 per 100K population.

Joke of the day

Alien: "who are you and how did you get into our fortress!"

Human: "I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith."

To be truly peaceful

“You can’t truly call yourself “peaceful” unless you’re capable of great violence, if you’re not capable of violence you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless”

If you cant defend yourself you are helpless not peaceful. We are peaceful because we are fully capable of using violence to defend ourselves, and *choose* not to. The choice is the important part.

Wise men's fears

There are 3 things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, *and the anger of a gentle man*
