China Challenged US Helicopter — Big Mistake - Beyond Military

I have to wonder if the US Military released the information about this encounter, plus the intelligence received from it, in order to screw with the PLA's mind.

YouTube Gun Rights Advocate Brandon Herrera Launches Second Congressional Bid Against Republican Incumbent - Ammoland.com

Brandon Herrera, the firearms manufacturer and YouTube personality known as “The AK Guy,” announced his second campaign for Congress on August 10, 2025, setting up another high-stakes Republican primary battle against Rep. Tony Gonzales (R) in Texas’ sprawling 23rd Congressional District. The rematch promises to rekindle debates over gun rights and party loyalty that nearly cost Gonzales his seat in 2024.

Herrera’s announcement video, which garnered nearly one million views within 48 hours of its release, positions him as a principled pro-gun conservative alternative to Gonzales, whom he labels a “turncoat Republican” for supporting gun control legislation following the Uvalde school shooting. With a massive social media following of 4.4 million YouTube subscribers and an unapologetic pro-Second Amendment platform, Herrera has demonstrated an uncanny ability to mobilize grassroots donors nationwide.

The upcoming primary represents a second chance for Herrera, who came within about 400 votes of defeating the three-term incumbent in their May 2024 runoff election. Despite being outspent by more than three to one, Herrera captured 49.4 percent of the vote against Gonzales’ 50.6 percent.

Google AI Snippets Are Choking Traffic to Pro-Gun News Outlets - Ammoland.com

Across the internet, artificial intelligence “snippets” are pulling content from pro-gun publishers, summarizing it directly on search platforms, and stripping away the need for readers to actually click through to the original sites.

For mainstream outlets, this trend is damaging enough. But for pro-Second Amendment publishers like AmmoLand News, the impact is multiplied by Big Tech’s built-in anti-gun roadblocks.

A Digital Wall Around Pro-Gun News

Unlike lifestyle blogs or sports pages, gun-related news and reviews are trapped behind extra barriers. Search engines and platforms like YouTube often tag this content with “harmful content” warnings, age gates, or ad restrictions, making it harder to reach new readers or advertise to old ones.

This means when AI systems serve up snippets of AmmoLand’s original reporting, they cut off the ability for readers to continue on to the full article—while also preventing the site from regaining visibility by blocking pro 2A publishers from traditional ad buys to replace lost traffic.

Transgender Shooter Kills 2 Children, Injures 17 in Minneapolis Catholic School Shooting - Ammoland.com

Minneapolis, MN – In a horrific act of violence that has once again thrust the debate over mental health, gun rights, and societal decay into the national spotlight, a transgender individual identified as Robin [Robert] M. Westman, 23, opened fire during a back-to-school Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis this morning.

Two children, ages 8 and 10, were tragically killed, and 17 others—including 14 children—were injured before Westman reportedly took their own life.

The attack, which targeted worshippers through the church’s stained-glass windows, has drawn swift condemnation from President Donald Trump, who signed a proclamation honoring the victims and called for prayers for the affected families.

Westman, born Robert Paul Westman in 2002, legally changed his name to Robin in 2019 at age 17 with parental consent and identified as female. Authorities revealed that Westman’s mother was an employee at the school, adding a chilling personal dimension to the targeting of the Catholic institution. The shooter was armed with multiple firearms, including rifles inscribed with inflammatory messages such as “Kill Donald Trump,” “Who is your God?,” “Israel must fall,” and “Gas Jews,” pointing to a toxic mix of anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, and anti-Trump sentiments.

Former ATF senior official now working for Everytown - Ammoland.com

Marianna Mitchem, ATF’s former Associate Assistant Director of Field Operations (Industry Operations), is now working for former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group, Everytown for Gun Safety, according to a former ATF senior official who did not want their name used in this story.

Mitchem has turned on the ATF since joining Everytown, the former official said. She is reaching out to her former colleagues, trying to target Glock and Glock-type handguns.

Mitchem began her 20-year ATF career in 2005 as an IOI, an Industry Operations Investigator, who inspect gun shops to make sure their records and inventory are documented correctly. She worked unarmed and was never an ATF Special Agent, who are armed and charged with enforcing federal law.

Mitchem was promoted to field supervisor in 2011, and by 2014, was put in charge of Industry Operations for ATF’s Phoenix Field Division.

She moved to Washington D.C. in 2017, when she became ATF’s deputy chief of Field Management Staff. One year later, she was promoted to Chief.

In 2019, Mitchem became ATF’s deputy chief of staff, and reported to ATF’s director. One year later, she became the chief of the Firearms and Explosives Industry Division.

Mitchem held her final position as Associate Assistant Director of Field Operations (Industry Operations), from March 2024 until she left in May 2025.

Blistering Amicus: ‘Second Amendment Not Allowed to Prevail in 9th Circuit’ - Ammoland.com

In a blistering 29-page amicus brief submitted to the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a case known as Yukutake v. Lopez, the attorney representing the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and its partners takes the court to task for its history of “routinely granting en banc rehearing to overturn Second Amendment victories.”

The case challenges Hawaii’s restrictive handgun purchasing requirements, which were initially struck down by a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit. However, as the amicus brief details, “For most other types of litigants in the Ninth Circuit, en banc rehearing is statistically almost as rare as a Supreme Court cert grant, and prevailing parties after a three-judge panel almost always keep their victories. But rehearing is practically a matter of course in this Court whenever litigants challenging gun laws prevail on final judgment before a three-judge panel. With only one very recent exception in which en banc did not occur because the state of California did not petition for rehearing, every appellate victory for the Second Amendment has been reversed en banc.”

Rogue DOJ Lawyers Rebel Against Trump, Still Fighting GOA in Court Over Biden’s Gun Control” - Ammoland.com

Washington, D.C. – Rogue lawyers inside the Department of Justice (DOJ) are actively resisting the Trump administration’s pro-Second Amendment agenda, continuing to fight against Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) in federal court over Biden-era gun control policies.

A Policy Repealed—But Not Forgotten

The controversy centers on the Biden administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, a rule that allowed the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to strip federal firearms licenses from dealers for minor paperwork errors. The policy was repealed in April, with Attorney General Pam Bondi declaring it had “unfairly targeted law-abiding gun owners.” ATF Acting Director Daniel Driscoll admitted in May that dealers were punished for “simple mistakes such as forgetting to put their license number on forms.”

Yet despite those public reversals, DOJ lawyers have refused to drop their defense of the old policy. According to court filings, they informed GOA that the government has “no plans to abandon its previous arguments” in the ongoing lawsuit.

Gun Owners Foundation Sounds the Alarm

Gun Owners Foundation highlighted the stakes in a statement on X, warning that without a permanent ruling in court, nothing prevents the policy from coming back.
