Problems Problems Problems.....

My internet has been up and down since yesterday, my 4 year old lost the keys to the suburban and broke both pairs of my glasses, in addition to writing on the walls in the family room and the bathroom. The older kids are trying to prepare for halloween but the $$ just aren't there :sigh: I think I need a vacation :)

Firearms I lust after......

This is a small list of firearms I have on my wish list for anyone who is rich and would like to buy me a Christmas Gift :)

#1 Charter Arms Explorer II Pistol



A Standard AR-7, I used to have one many years ago but financial problems forced me to sell it



A Short Magazine Lee-Enfield SMLE Mk4#1 Once again I had one before but finances forced me to sell it.



A pair of Colt 1851 Navies, I used to have 4 of these pistols, 3 brass frame CVA kits I built myself and 1 Pedersoli Steel frame that was a gift from my Ex-Father in Law. What can I say finances were very tight I had 2 kids with child #3 due within weeks and I had to sell them,



A Springfield Armory M6 Scout in .22 LR over .410 Never had one but I've fired a few and they are actually nice little shooters.



A Trapdoor Springfield in .45/70, I had one for about a week then I saw my current 1911A1 and I horse traded for it.



A Remington Rolling Block in .45/70 NOT the .43 Spanish Mauser, I had in in .43 and I HATED it. The ammo is filthy dirty and accuracy is not the greatest, whereas the rolling blocks I had fired in .45/70 were nice accurate rifles.



A savage Model 24, .243 Remington over 20 gauge. A friend of mine had on of these rifle/shotgun combos and it was a sweet weapon.



A C. Sharps Arms in .50/110, many people have told me that they never made a Sharps in that caliber, well I've personally held 2 of them and fired one. Longest shot I've ever made in my life I hit the gong at 750 yards with the tang sight, the sound of "WHANNNNG!" is one of the most memorable sounds of my life.



A good 16 gauge Flintlock Fowler, I love Black Powder weapons.



An Old Krag-Jorgensen in .30/40




These are the main weapons on my wish list. Yes I'm an old fuddy duddy when it comes to firearms :)

I had my first radio troll

I was doing my show with Gene, AD and Babs, when a caller called in asking if I liked my show and did I want more listeners and was I serious about my show. Uhhhh, well I've done over 110 shows since april, 6 nights a week unless I or one of my kids is sick. So I think I'm serious, I don't know who he was schilling for but I'm happy where I'm at, so I just hung up on him and we finsihed out the show. Missed last nights show....

It was my daughters 13th birthday, and I took her out for a birthday dinner with Daddy. Unfortunately I re-injured my back, MAJOR pain. So we got home I took 2 pain pills and I was out like a light until 6:30 this morning. sorry I screwed up folks..

My best friend was killed today.....

This is my dog Misty Lynn, my best friend. Today, someone speeding on my street, ran over her, and killed her. She isn't just a dog, she is one of my children, she was born 3 weeks before my 6 year old twin sons. She didn't like thunderstorms, or fireworks, when storms came she would climb in bed with me and try to get inside my shirt, when fireworks were going off she would get on my bed and hide under the covers. In the morning when the twins would walk to the bus stop she would walk with them and stay there until they got on the bus, then she would walk home and scratch at the door to be let in. When my youngest and I would walk out to the bus stop she would go with us and sit there until he got on the bus, then she and I would walk back to the house.



When I would get ready to go into town, Misty would be by my feet her tail waggin a hundred miles an hour, because she knew she was goin to go. I'd walk out and she would be right behind me. As I opened the door to my truck she would look at me waiting for permission to get in, I'd click my tongue at her and she would hop in and get in the passenger seat that tail flying so fast it was a blur and her whole rear end was moving with it.



She would let the kids put hats and clothes on her and she would play in the yard, racing around them as they drove thier battery operated trucks. She and I would play with each other as I cut the grass on the riding mower, she would charge at the mower barking and I would chase her with the mower and she would try to get behind me and snap at the tires. When she ran, she would use her rear legs as if they were tied together and she sort of bounced like a kangaroo.

She loved having her belly rubbed, and she loved to lick your face. If she had to go to the bathroom she would come up to you and use her little whine that only meant that she had to go out. She and the cats would play at times, she would chse them and they would suddenly stop raise up on thier back legs and swat her, and she would actually fall over as if she was dead, and the cat would then pounce on her. Then they would start over again.

The speed limit on my street is 25 mph. According to the shriffs deputy who came out and saw where she was struck and where her collar landed, said the person had to be goin at least 40+ mph. there are no speed limit signs on my street. There will be.

And to the person who thinks they only hit a dog and didn't bother to stop. you didn't just hit a dog, you hit one of my children and my best friend.

In the morning the kids aren't going to school. We have a funeral to attend to.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case. Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid and Dick Durbin say justice has been served.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens

to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote.

Exciting day for me....

I just got back from the Emergency department. My Ex-Wife hasn't been feeling well for the last few days, and it got worse earlier after our daughter performance in the Sea Fair Parade in town. So she took herself to the Hospital to get checked out. 4 hours later she hadn't called or anything so #1 daughter Mary and I, plus #1a Daughter Roxann went to the hospital to check on her. We got there at 10:30 pm, and it's now 4:15 am as I write this and I JUST walked in the door. She was extremely dehydrated has an infection and a cold. she's doing much better now, but I missed my show, and I have to be upto in a few hours to start the day. UGH... I think I'm taking the day off. Good night...
