On Government sharing information

"A digital chart used by the minesweeper Guardian to navigate Philippine waters misplaced the location of a reef by about eight nautical miles, and may have been a significant factor when the ship drove hard aground on the reef on Jan. 17."

Good Point he makes, if a .GOV agency can't even ensure the information that is their only responsibility is correct, how can they ensure that any information they share is correct?  And if it's incorrect, how can we as citizens get them to correct it?
