In a much earlier post I discussed how CB Radio's aren't the best to try to get long range communication. That post is:

Ever since then I've had almost 100 more people coming to my blog, trying to find a way toget their CB Radio to transmit "100 Miles". Now you can get your CB to do that. However it is both expensive and illegal, and if done wrong it can damage your car, your radio and possibly yourself.
Below is the newest video in the Preparedness Video Project, where I discuss how you can communicate 100 miles, safely and inexpensively.
