ISP's stepping up to stop illegal P2P File Sharing


The Copyright Alert System, organized by the recording and film industry, is being activated this week to target consumers using peer-to-peer software."

As long as they are not dinging users who are sharing files that are not copyrighted, such as the Defense Distributed Files, the CD3WD Files and a whole host of other types of files that are legal for sharing, I really don't see a problem with this.  My only quibble would be the possibility of false positives, and people getting dinged for that.
