Bob Schieffer retires Sunday after 46 years at CBS News

From below:

"In a last-ditch defense of his liberal colleagues, he said that mainstream journalism’s job is to “tell people what we think is relevant in what they need to know. That is the job of the journalist and I have to say it’s harder and harder.”

Snyder cemented his point by quoting former CBS reporter Sheryl Attkisson, who told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, “There is unprecedented, I believe, influence on the media, not just the news, but the images you see everywhere. By well-orchestrated and financed campaign of special interests, political interests and corporations. I think all of that comes into play.“
Schieffer only confirmed Attkisson’s assessment.
“Most of the information is wrong and some of it is wrong on purpose,” he said."
