Vet Ranch - Hit By a Car, 2 Broken Legs, Broken Hip

Published on Jul 12, 2015

Emma was homeless and a car hit her. Before she came to me she was operated on by an emergency veterinarian to repair an immediately life threatening injury. She had a diaphragmatic hernia, where a hole in the muscle that normally separates the lungs from the abdominal contents allowed her intestines to be pushed up into her chest, severely restricting her breathing. Afterwards the hospital quoted the foster family $2000 to amputate her rear leg and fix her front leg. The foster family could not afford that so she was given to us. Here's her story.
