That was fun, and interesting. Did the 1911 eat the web of your hand, like my WWI-era piece did? Have you thought about running a 3-way comparison: 1917 and 1911, G98 and P08, and SMLE and Webley?

For what it's worth though, I shot a competition up in St. Louis back in the 90's with a No4MKI and a Norinco 1911A1, both were stock original. I also had the problem with hammer bite so I switched out the Norinco grips to Hogue wraparounds to shift my grip a little lower.
