Yeaaahhhh, I don't think he is going to get anywhere with this.  I for one already have enough foreign objects in my body, I don't want to add any more.  Also, anything that REQUIRES a battery CAN be bypassed unless you want to make it so the firearm turns into nothing more than a very expensive paperweight.

All of these people seeking to "Make guns safer"  against accidental discharge or misuse, need to keep in mind one very important thing.

When people are properly instructed in the safe use of a firearm, less accidents occur.

Areas where firearms are less available either through financial means or legislative means, accidental deaths occur at an almost exponential amount over the Proper Instructed areas.
