Army says "No Tanks"

Lawmakers from both parties have devoted nearly half a billion dollars in taxpayer money over the past two years to build improved versions of the 70-ton Abrams.

But senior Army officials have said repeatedly, "No thanks."

Just one more example of Congress trying to spread the wealth to their campaign donors and keep their own campaign warchests full.  However they are doing it with OUR Tax dollars.

So Congress is going to spend money on tanks at almost $5,000,000.00 (Five Million) a pop.  While scuttling the Army's request for a new COIN aircraft and a new transport aircraft.  Althugh on the 2 planes it's more of the Air Force taking over the program then killing it with Congressional collusion.  The Airforce  is still upset that it used to be part of the Army and is jealous of maintaining it's own budget and prestige at the expense of our ground force elements.

I think XBRADTC did a write up about those two boondoggles, although I'm not totally sure.
