Did you know

that movies used to be filmed on nitrocellulose?  You know what nitrocellulose is right?  Let's just say extremely flammable and in some cases explosive.  Many old films were filmed on Nitrate Base film through the years, until the development of Cellulose Acetate films.  However Hollywood was still using Nitrate Base film up until 1951.

Where am I going with all this?  Hack-A-Day has an interesting post about film that I thought you, my readers would like.

At least "I" found it interesting.
