Democratic Myopia may end Social Security before Obama's term ends

"President Clinton talked about 'mend it, don’t end it,'" Nicholas Eberstadt of the American Enterprise Institute said. "To judge by (Obama's) remarks, there's nothing that needs mending in our entitlement systems."

Many Republicans and a few Democrats are trying to figure out a way to Fix Social Security and other entitlement programs.  the problem is that Obama and his Minions refuse to do anything which might reduce their bought votes.

Oh, NOW they do their job...

"For the first time in more than a quarter-century, Social Security ran a deficit in 2010: It spent $49 billion dollars more in benefits than it received in revenues, and drew from its trust funds to cover the shortfall. Those funds — a $2.7 trillion buffer built in anticipation of retiring baby boomers — will be exhausted by 2033, the government currently projects."


It would have been nice if they had done their job BEFORE the election.
