I bought an extended warranty for my car once. When the car wouldn't start, it was determined that the switch to engage the starter which is activated by pushing down on the brake, had gone bad. Warranty folks said it wasn't covered because only manually activated switches were covered. Pushing with the foot didn't count as manually activated. The person at the nissan dealership apparently lied when she said the warranty was bumper to bumper.
