Chuck Talks the Gold Supply

Hate crime bill to police speech

Ben says exactly what the problem is.  "WHO" defines what is hate speech?  Who gets to determine that which may be hateful, restricted speech?

I'm sorry Senator Markey, the very fact that you want to restrict speech tells me that you are the one person who cannot be trusted to determine what is hate speech.

Tech and knowledge issues

First the Tech issue.

I ordered a new 1TB Hard Drive from Dell that was on sale for 45.99.  They got my order on the 8th of last month.  I was charged for it on the 8th of last month. On the 10th of last month I got an e-mail that my order was "Delayed", and I had to contact them to "Confirm" my order.  I did so and was told by their automated phone system that my order would be shipped in "48-72 Hours".  On the 17th, I got an e-mail that my new drive had been shipped.  I took delivery on the 21st.  Well I opened the box and checked it over to be sure they was no damage from shipping and didn't see any, but I DID think it was weird that an ordinary sticker had been used to seal the anti-static bag.  Normally the bags are sealed with the manufacturers notice about static electricity and electronics sticker.  I didn't think anything about it as I had to remember where I had put my external drive adapter.

Found my external drive adapter the other day but couldn't find it's power cord, so I spent an few extra hours locating it.  This morning, I hooked it all up and went to set the drive up so I can clone my main hard drive and then swap this in to replace the main drive  and then put the main drive in the fireproof safe.

That was the plan...

Opened up the drive specs under storage in computer management.  A 1 TB drive should normally report 1 inactive partition and about 930-936 GB of available space.  Not this one.

It showed me I had 1 ACTIVE partition and 1 Inactive partition and only had 902 GB available space.  Hmmm curious.  Went through my bag of tricks software tools and I could NOT get the "ACTIVE" partition to let me into it.  Hmmm even curiouser.  Went digging through all of the old shipping boxes I have from stuff I've ordered in the past and found the box of the last hard drive I ordered from Dell.  It was shipped from Dallas Texas.  This NEW hard drive was shipped from Lebanon Tennessee.  Hmmm my brain has an itch now that I cannot scratch.

Rather than spend an inordinate amount of time trying to dig into this drive without specialty software I really don't have the $$ to buy, I said screw it.  I deleted the partitions, both of them and put a new partition on the drive and I am now hour 8 into a full format of the drive.

I wonder however, how many people would just pop in a new drive without bothering to check the specs and just let the automated windows helper set the drive up for them, and just WHAT is on the other partition.  Especially in light of the various reports of the NSA short stopping electronics during shipping and adding their own software and pieces of extra electronics to them.

I can't say that's what happened, as the last drive I ordered from Dell was over 7 years ago, (Yes I hang on to shipping boxes THAT LONG), so for all I know Dell has a warehouse in Lebanon.

However this is not the first time I've had issues with storage media having something hidden on it.  I've had issues several times with USB Thumb drives that had hidden partitions on them.  When 32GB thumb drives brand new in the packaging are only reporting 23 GB, and from different manufacturers and suppliers and all of them refuse to let you see what is in the hidden used parts, you kinda think that maybe someone is trying to mess with you.

At first I thought it might have been someone in China trying to install some malware on an unsuspecting consumer.  Then the reports from Edward Snowden about the NSA putting spying software on and hardware in electronics came out.  So I now have a rather healthy paranoia about ANY of my computers and any new hardware.

So now YOU know to check your hardware as well.

Now onto the knowledge issues.

My youngest daughter #4 Sprog sent me the following text message.

#4 Sprog: Dad what is the overall them and problem of the movie the great gatsby?

(That is her spelling and capitalization exactly as it come over my phone)

My reply: Look it up if i tell you you won't learn it for yourself

#4 Sprog: I cant i don't have internet

(She is at her mothers house about 120 feet away from mine)

My reply: There are other ways of looking things up like encyclopedias of which there are 5 sets of them up here just for that purpose

No response to that yet and it's been about 40 minutes.  Not to mention that besides the encyclopedia's, there are 5 computers tied into the home network, android tablets, dictionaries, thesauruses, a literally HUNDREDS of other books all related to having a decent reference library that doesn't require electricity to use.  Unless you need a light to read by and I have oil and kerosene lanterns in addition to battery lanterns and LED lights the whole plethora.

UGH!  Kids these days.

Gobal Warming/Climate Change/AGW

I found this while perusing a few other places and thought it very interesting.

"The problem with modern science is that it is so compartmentalized.

"Scientists" rarely become highly educated in more than one field, because, well, to be blunt... most scientists aren't thooper geniousez. The average scientist is... average, and human knowledge is to vast.

What is needed is a summary free of socialistic politics/religion of global warming.

The problem with "global warming" or "global cooling" is that so many scientists try to understand it based on incomplete information. Some things that are almost never mentioned in the papers are things like...(forgive me as I wax scientific) All data given here can be verified.

1. Oceanography: oceans are a massive carbon source/sink which absorb or emit CO2 into the atmosphere over long time scale: as needed (time scales of centuries). CO2 ends up turning into rock if there is a vast excess of carbon dioxide in the ocean, that rock eventually comes back up in volcanoes (see #2). (one such common rock layer is called calcium carbonate, AKA limestone) a zoom in of "al gore's" infamous charts prove that atmospheric carbon dioxide levels FOLLOW global temps... in oceanography this is well known. If you want proof, open a Cold Beer then open Hot Beer (preferably outside, you can thank me later).

2. Geology: Plate tectonics- volcanoes et. al. put out orders of magnitude more pollution than the whole of humanity.

3. Physics: Thermodynamics: The sun, you know, that big ball of fire in the sky? It make stuff hot. More on this later, cause it's a bit more complicated than all that.

4: Astrophysics: Cosmic rays cause cloud formation.Situation= sun is in a "hot cycle".

The solar wind forms a "bubble" in space, protecting the earth from cosmic rays. When the sun is "hot" then the solar wind blows harder. When the solar wind blows harder, then fewer cosmic rays can reach earth. Less cosmic rays= less clouds. Less clouds = more sunlight reaching earth's surface. More sunlight reaching earth's surface = HOTTER.

When the sun is "cool" the solar wind is weaker, so more cosmic rays get through the "space bubble". Cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere cause more clouds, which reflect sunlight back into space before it reaches the earth's surface... thus cooling the earth.

5. Biology: my personal favorite. Plant growth is determined by a great many things. However with most of these things (minerals/water/sunlight) you can only give a plant a certain maximum amount to increase growth. You give more than that, you kill the plant or the plant just doesn't get any bigger or grow any faster, no matter how much more you give to the plant. There is one nutrient however that will make a plant grow bigger and bigger, faster and faster... Carbon Dioxide.

That's right folks, want to feed the world? No More Starving children? More CO2 in the atmosphere is a good thing.

This is in a discussion about John Ringo's book, "The Last Centurion".  If you haven't read the book, I highly suggest that you do.

National Security evidently isn't top of the list for the current administration.

"A Russian intelligence-gathering ship has been operating off the U.S. East Coast and near the Gulf of Mexico for the past month, the Pentagon said Thursday."

Remember a while back when there was a Russian Akula Class sub in the Gulf Of Mexico? One that had my scanner going nuts?  With aircraft flying over my house with MAD gear on their tails?  And then there was the Akula off the coast of California.

Now this.

How long until Putin decides to pull the trigger on the US?

DHS to buy 25 mil 12 ga. shotgun shells?

Homeland Security to Purchase 25 Million Shotgun Rounds

25 MILLION ROUNDS!?

Over 5 years?

I know it's bat-poop crazy Alex Jones Infowars.  But from time to time they have good info.

So if this report is verified, 209 primers, hulls, powder and all the other components will become scarcer than .22LR ammo.

So stock up now while you can.

Me personally, I haven't been able to find primers, wads, shotcups, hulls or other stuff.  I can find shot, #4 buck and #7, #7.5 and #8 birdshot all day long, but I can't find primers or powder.

Voter Fraud

And yet according to the Democrat party, There is no such thing as Voter Fraud.

I wonder why they keep saying that when there is evidence to the contrary.

Prophecy

I'd like you to look around at what is happening in our country.  And then I want you to read a book.

A book by David Weber.

The book is in his long running series about Honor Harrington and the Honorverse.

Please read War of Honor.

And yes there are 3 links there.

Look at what is happening in our own country and read that book.

It is almost prophetic.

I pray however the final third of the book doesn't prove as prophetic as the first 2 thirds.

It is almost prophetic as "The Road to Damascus", which is another book I highly suggest you read and the look around at our country.

Homeland Security?

"Regardless of how people feel about Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s standoff with the federal Bureau of Land Management over his cattle’s grazing rights, a lot of Americans were surprised to see TV images of an armed-to-the-teeth paramilitary wing of the BLM deployed around Bundy’s ranch.

They shouldn’t have been. Dozens of federal agencies now have Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams to further an expanding definition of their missions. It’s not controversial that the Secret Service and the Bureau of Prisons have them. But what about the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service? All of these have their own SWAT units and are part of a worrying trend towards the militarization of federal agencies — not to mention local police forces."

How many SWAT/Tactical Teams are actually needed?

And the obverse, how can they be justified?

We have seen that as more and more departments and agencies develop a SWAT or Tactical Team, the more they are used for things which are NOT in their original mission brief.

Mission Creep to the extreme.

SWAT teams are now being used to serve warrants for ordinance violators.  And being used for fishing expeditions, in order to simply justify their very budgetary existence.

Several agency's are now using them as revenue enhancements, to fund their departments through asset forfeiture of people who simply got caught up in a raid.

Innocent people have been killed because of raids on the wrong address or bad police work.

How do we make it stop?

How do we hold those accountable for these actions?

License plate scanners and the IRS?

"The Internal Revenue Service and other U.S. agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints."

So now since the hue and cry against local .GOV's use of the technology, the IRS steps up and will do it anyway to take the heat off of the local LEO's.

Could this rogue agency get any further off of it's actual job?

“Especially with the IRS, I don’t know why these agencies are getting access to this kind of information,” said Jennifer Lynch, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based privacy-rights group. “These systems treat every single person in an area as if they’re under investigation for a crime -- that is not the way our criminal justice system was set up or the way things work in a democratic society.”

What happened to our Fourth and Fifth Amendment Rights?  Why does the IRS even NEED this technology?

It's SCIENCE!!!

"Carl Sagan was the country's leading practitioner of the mythologization of science, transforming a process into a philosophy, substituting political agendas for inquiry and arrogance for research. Sagan was often wrong, but it didn't matter because his errors were scientific, rather than ideological or theological. He could be wrong as many times as he wanted, as long as he wasn't wrong politically..

Science has been thoroughly Saganized. The vast majority of research papers are wrong, their results cannot be replicated. The researchers writing them often don't even understand what they're doing wrong and don't care. Research is increasingly indistinguishable from politics. Studies are framed in ways that prove a political premise, whether it's that the world will end without a carbon tax or that racism causes obesity. If they prove the premise, the research is useful to the progressive non-profits and politicians who always claim to have science in their corner. If it doesn't, then it isn't funded."

You really want to read that link.

Police State?

H/t Blue who has others you should take a look at.

Think about it

“The Muslim Brotherhood’s symbol is the sword, their message is revenge and terror. One year under the Brotherhood tore apart our unity. They divided our land and sold it to our enemies. They opened our borders widely for mercenaries and terrorists. They released terrorists from prisons to terrorize our community. It was either to rule us by force or burn everything in our homeland.

Brotherhood humiliated our humanity, dignity and pride. They raped childhood innocence at the age of 9. They cut girls hair in schools to force the veil. They practiced Circumcision against females to kill natural feelings given by god."

And the US under President Obama, The United Kingdom and a majority of the rest of the EU Countries STILL haven't declared the Muslim Brotherhood as a "Terroris Organization.

However, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain have done so.

Think about that.

Countries that are predominately Muslim have declared the Muslim Brotherhood as a Terrorist Organization.

What does that tell you?

Now think about this..

National Magazine AR-15 20 Round Magazines - DON'T BUY!!!

I got four of these magazines from CTD, and I've seen them offered at Bud's, Dick's and many other places.

A helpful piece of advice.

Save your money.

They are junk.

They are supposed to be 20 round magazines, I was never able to get more than 18 rounds in them.  They FTF, double and triple feed, one magazine dumped out FIVE rounds.  My rifle was bound up for almost 30 minutes while I fixed that.

I mean I have over a dozen CAA mags and I've only had ONE of them screw up on me where if you load more than 26 rounds in it it would just release half of them.

Well CTD is sort of replacing these.  They are sending me ProMags  but I have to pay the difference AND the postage.  I don't really like that.  AT ALL!

They sold me FOUR junk magazines, and they are charging me the difference between the next higher mags and the National Magazine garbage PLUS they are making me pay for the shipping.

In my personal opinion, if they wanted to make the customer happy they would send me the mags without charging me for the shipping.  I can understand paying the difference, but why should "I" have to pay for the shipping TWICE?

I offered to send these hunk of junque's back to them, but they didn't want to send me a RMA and pre-paid return packaging.  So I was told to trash 'em.

What I'm going to do is perform a forensic autopsy on them and try to figure out why they are so screwed up.

Just did a quick comparo between my polymer CAA's and the NATMAG's

First off the feed lips are too short, and not bent properly.  Second the floor plates are messed up.  It's hard to compare a metal floor plate and a polymer floor plate but from what I"m seeing, that is also one of the problems.

And I just disassembled one.  The follower is yellow and appears to be the anti-tilt variety.  However it doesn't move through the mag body cleanly and easily.  Also the mag spring wasn't attached to the follower and was backwards.  Let me put this together the way it's supposed to be and do a quick check.

YIKES!  I didn't think it was possible, but it's even WORSE!.

I could only get 15 rounds in it and trying to do a feed test the second round was a triple feed and the as I cleared that and checked the next round to feed, it dumped 5 rounds.  I had to shotgun it to clear it enough to even drop the mag itself.

Stripped the mag back down.  The inside of the body is rough like it's been bead blasted and parkerized.  The yellow follower feels like it's a cheap plastic NOT like the follower of my inexpensive CAA mags.

If anyone has one of the older MagPul followers and springs or even the MILSPEC follower and spring for a 20 round mag, they don't need and wouldn't mind sending it to me, I'll check and see if that helps.  But with the too short and improperly bent feed lips I doubt even that would help.

Cops don't want to be held accountable

"Los Angeles police officers tampered with voice recording equipment in dozens of patrol cars in an effort to avoid being monitored while on duty, according to records and interviews.

An inspection by investigators found about half of the estimated 80 cars in one South L.A. patrol division were missing antennas, which help capture what officers say in the field. The antennas in at least 10 more cars in nearby divisions had also been removed."

Remember this is the same department that shot two women in a different make/model/color truck during the hunt for Dorner.  Of COURSE they don't want the higher ups to know what they are doing and saying.  If they did the officers might actually be held accountable for their illegal and unethical actions.

Malware so good it took 5-7 years to be detected

"Today Kaspersky Lab’s security research team announced the discovery of “The Mask” (aka Careto), an advanced Spanish-language speaking threat actor that has been involved in global cyber-espionage operations since at least 2007. What makes The Mask special is the complexity of the toolset used by the attackers. This includes an extremely sophisticated malware, a rootkit, a bootkit, Mac OS X and Linux versions and possibly versions for Android and iOS (iPad/iPhone)."

Make sure you run MULTIPLE fully updated virus and malware scanners.  And do it several times a week.

Also if you are running a windows computer and have access to a factory boot disk, use it to boot your computer then run your scans and also run them in safe mode at least once a week.  This has the benefit of hitting your drive from different angles to check for rootkits, and bad drivers.

How the great Global Warming Scare came About

New Mental Illness on the Democrats Wish List

"What happens to a society when thinking outside of the box or being righteously enraged about your government going in the wrong direction becomes an excuse to be sedated and re-educated? It seems we don't have to go too far back in history to find out.

The Soviet Union used new mental illness for political repression.

People who didn't accept the beliefs of the Communist Party developed a new type of schizophrenia.

They suffered from the delusion of believing communism was wrong. They were isolated, forcefully medicated, and put through repressive "therapy" to bring them back to sanity."

The Leftists in the Democrat party and the GOP would just love to be able to change the DSM so they can declare you "Broken" and then heavily medicate you after separating you from society until you fit the mold they want you to fit.

Common Core Backlash

"A school in Sacramento, California, has suspended a mom over her stance against Common Core.

You read that correctly, the Mark Twain School in Sacramento has told the mother of a 12-year-old student that she has been suspended for two weeks. Police in Sacramento served the 14-day suspension to Katherine Duran in her home following a disagreement with the school over the soon-to-be enacted Common Core standards."

I'm sorry, but the school principal and his immediate staff who collected the forms need to be suspended or fired.  Evidently as educators they are not familiar enough with something called The First Amendment".  As such they are obviously not qualified to hold their positions and employment.

Is MSNBC growing a Little Bit of a Spine?

Maybe?  Finally?  And notice who doesn't even demur.

Haven't bought insurance yet? You're out of luck now.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Americans thinking about buying health insurance on their own later this year, or maybe switching to a different insurer, are probably out of luck. The policies are going off the market as a little-noticed consequence of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.

With limited exceptions, insurance companies have stopped selling until next year the sorts of individual plans that used to be available year-round. That locks out many of the young and healthy as well as the sick and injured, even those who can afford to buy without government subsidies."

So another thing we couldn't read before we passed it.

This deal is worse than Cloud City's deal with the Empire.

The Militarization of Police/Federal Agencies

THE LONG ARM OF THE LAW GETTING LONGER: The number of law enforcement agents, such as these from the Environmental Protection Agency, have grown in recent years. Photo:New Mexico Watchdog

"By Rob Nikolewski │ New Mexico Watchdog

SANTA FE, N.M. — In late February, four federal agents carrying side arms with a drug-sniffing dog descended on the Taos Ski Valley in what was called a “saturation patrol.”

Authorities were working on tips of possible drug selling and impaired driving in the ski resort’s parking lot and surrounding area.

But the agents weren’t from the FBI, ATF or even the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Rather, the agents represented the U.S. Forest Service."

So the EPA, NOAA, USFS, DOI, USFWS, BLM and countless other Federal Agencies are also arming up, with little proper oversight.

When your local PD or SO suddenly has a bunch of Full Auto weapons and a Armored Mine Resistant Vehicle how much should you worry?

And why now are all these various agencies suddenly getting armed officers and their own tactical teams?

"Aim of SWAT-Like Raid Was Student-Aid Fraud; Education Dept. Given Police Powers in 2002"

And the tactical teams are being used more and more for such innocuous things in order to justify their existance, and there are more and more tragedies because of it.

Jose Guerena shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jose Guerena - Huffington Post

"A 61-year-old man was shot to death by police while his wife was handcuffed in another room during a drug raid on the wrong house."

"Deputies approached the house, and what happened next is where things get murky. The deputies said they announced their presence upon entering and were met in the hallway by the 80-year-old man, wielding a gun and stumbling towards them. The deputies later changed the story when the massive bloodstains on Mallory's mattress indicated to investigators that he'd most likely been in bed at the time of the shooting. Investigators also found that an audio recording of the incident revealed a discrepancy in the deputies' original narrative:"

How many more people are going to die because of the cowboy, holier than thou attitude of these so-called "Tactical Teams"?

Does anyone remember

The M1A-A1?  It's the bottom rifle in the ad show above.  the top rifle is the BM-59 Paratrooper model.

Springfield Armory took a BM-59 folding stock and put a cut down M1A into it.  I've always wanted one myself.  I've spoken to people who have owned them, before, and they all say the same thing.  There are easier ways to break your cheek bone than firing one of them.

But still, I"ve always liked how they looked.

Two of my e-mail accounts were hacked

If you get any e-mail from me that has a link in it, do NOT click on the link.

Someone hacked my e-mail accounts, copied the contacts list and are spooking the domain to make it look like it is coming from me.

Evidently my contacts have been sold because according to the IP's of the various originating messages they have been sent from Bosnia, Russia, Syria, and the current one is showing from Vietnam.

Here is the screen shot of the full header showing where the e-mail ACTUALLY originated from.

The originating IP is the highlighted one.

I have already changed the PW on my accounts MULTIPLE times.  The current PW's are so complex I had to write it down and if 29 letters, numbers AND symbols don't make it hard for them I don't know what else other than closing the e-mail account completely.

On Fort Hood

I will not go into the shooting at Fort Hood.

I will not write the name of the shooter.

I will only ask you to pray to whatever Deity you believe in for the wounded, the dead and their families.

Even if you don't believe in any Deity, I would ask you to keep them in your thoughts.

This is all I will post on the matter.

Just another reason not to trust the EPA or the rest of the government.

"The Environmental Protection Agency has been conducting dangerous experiments on humans over the past few years in order to justify more onerous clean air regulations.

The agency conducted tests on people with health issues and the elderly, exposing them to high levels of potentially lethal pollutants, without disclosing the risks of cancer and death, according to a newly released government report."

If you will recall I post earlier about the US Army testing bio agents against the City of St. Louis.

"Human Guinea Pigs"

Now we find out the EPA in an apparent effort to justify tighter restrictions on emissions knowingly and maliciously exposed people to carcinogens without giving proper notice or obtaining proper permissions.

Doesn't this just make you trust your government less?

And more here;

"The Environmental Protection Agency is under fire for exposing children to pollution as part of an experiment at the University of Southern California."

The video autostarts so it is below the fold

What exactly is going on?

First it was said that the man they are looking for is a kidnapping suspect, then on this morning's news they change it to a man wanted for sexual assault of a child. Now unless I do a very specific search across 3 different news sites I can't even find the story at all. Here is KZTV 10's report which was a pain to find.

"Rockport Manhunt- KZTV ROCKPORT, TEXAS- U.S. Marshals scoured an upscale island community in Rockport Wednesday night. Key Allegro was the focus of an intense manhunt with marshals checking all cars coming over the one bridge leaving the neighborhood. One resident told us they also went door to door saying they were looking for a kidnapping suspect, and showing a photo. Neither the marshals nor county authorities are confirming who that suspect is or why he's wanted."

Key Allegro is 7 miles from my house as a grow flies or walks, cutting through various properties in the way.  The island has several ways you can get off of it.  You can drive over the bridge, swim any of the channels.  Walk to the tip of the island and swim the small cut to the beach park where there are usually families with kids in the evening.   Let me give you a ma so you can see what I'm talking about.

The marker is where the bridge into/out of Key Allegro is.  You can see it wouldn't be hard to get off the island if you don't mind getting a little wet.  The cut above the marker?  It's so shallow there you can literally walk out about 100 yards before it will get up to your chest.  The cut between the park and the island is only about 10 feet deep and about 30 feet wide.  I've been at the beach with the kids and have swum it myself many times.  If you swim about 40 yards into Little Bay you can then stand up and walk to the McDonalds right on the main drag through town.

My main complaint about all this?

The county has an emergency notification system.

It WASN'T USED!

If my kids are sick and don't go to school, I get a call.  If there is an evacuation order in case of a hurricane, I get a call.

A child rapist/kidnapper is loose in the area.....

Nothing.

If I hadn't caught it on the news and my scanner, I never would have even known about it.  And even on my scanner, all I noticed was the increase in encrypted comms.  So I knew the U..S. Marshal's Service was in the area again.

But no official notices.  No phone calls.

Video moved below the fold because of autoplay

Well I've had my 100 thousandth visitor., not including the spam bots and those who block sitemeter.

It's been somewhat enlightening to think that that many people actually read what I write.

Unsecurity on the border

"McALLEN, Texas (AP) — More than 100 Border Patrol agents from California and Arizona have been shifted to the southernmost tip of Texas, the country's busiest sector for illegal immigration, the agency announced Wednesday.

While arrests of immigrants who have entered the U.S. illegally have fallen or stabilized on other parts of the border, they've soared in South Texas, driven in large part by immigrants from Central America."

What the story doesn't say is the increases of crimes in the south Texas region.  From simple theft up to some violent crimes.  If you check the stats you will find some fudging on the part of several law enforcement agencies.  Assaults that were reported in the news are downgraded in official law enforcement reports.  And the crimes extend northward.

Recently not even 2 miles from my house the Sheriffs office attempted to pull over a minivan.  They finally got it stopped.  But they didn't get everyone inside of it.  The driver and 4 others got away.  But the Deputies did have 12 illegal immigrants including 1 child.  The 5 who got away?  As far as I know they still haven't been caught, but several homes have been broken into and in one house the homeowners dog was killed.

That was two miles, from my house.

In 1986 Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law that was supposed to end the problem of illegal immigration once and for all.  It didn't.  Why?

"What did the 1986 immigration law do? Two big things. First, there was the "amnesty" bit. Any unauthorized immigrants who had already been living in the United States continuously since 1982 became eligible for temporary legal status, after paying a $185 fee and demonstrating "good moral character." After 18 months, they could then become eligible for green cards, provided they learned to speak English."

The bills teeth had been dulled by special interest groups and lobbying groups, making it a sham.

And then we have;

"President Ronald Reagan signed that bill into law with great fanfare amid promises that it would grant legal status to illegal immigrants, crack down on employers who hired illegal workers and secure the border once and for all. Instead, fraudulent applications tainted the process, many employers continued their illicit hiring practices, and illegal immigration surged."

And concomitant  with all that illegal immigration we have an increase of crime.

"Immigrant gangs are considered a unique public safety threat due to their members’ propensity for violence and their involvement in transnational crime. The latest national gang threat assessment noted that Hispanic gang membership has been growing, especially in the Northeast and the South, and that areas with new immigrant populations are especially vulnerable to gang activity.  A large share of the immigrant gangsters in the most notorious gangs such as Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), Surenos-13, and 18th Street are illegal aliens. Their illegal status means they are especially vulnerable to law enforcement, and local authorities should take advantage of the immigration tools available in order to disrupt criminal gang activity, remove gang members from American communities, and deter their return. Once explained, these measures find much support, especially in immigrant communities where gang crime is rampant."

and

"Criminal street gangs—mostly comprised of illegal immigrants—are responsible for the majority of violent crimes in the United States and are the primary distributors of most illicit drugs."

So what can we do?

Human Rights

Carteach Explains;

"It's not a 'constitutional right'.

It's a constitutionally protected 'Natural right'.

The difference is huge."

Very well worth reading.

MGI Hydra

I'd like to try that one sometime.  I wonder if they have a 7.62X25 Tokarev variant.

Mass Extinction is always possible

I've done some reading on this and the amount of methane being held in our ocean's floor is frightening.  If we had 2 or 3 underwater earthquakes in the right area or an underwater volcanic eruption in the right place, the amount of methane that would be released would make so called global warming look like a minor heat wave.

"The worst mass extinction in Earth's history - long before dinosaurs roamed the planet - was caused by microbes, according to a new study. The tiny organisms suddenly began belching out the greenhouse gas methane - which is about 20 per cent more potent than carbon dioxide - some 250 million years ago.Fumes spurted from the oceans wiping out 90 per cent of all species, from snails and small crustaceans to early forms of lizards and amphibians in less than 20,000 years. The 'Great Dying' occurred more than 252 million years ago - long before dinosaurs lived roamed Earth - at the end of Permian era."

In the Gulf of Mexico, off the coasts of Florida and California there exists billions of tons of methane locked up in the ocean floor..  If even 1/10th of that methane were to be released, there would be a massive die off of the vital plankton that is the base of our oceans aquaculture.  With that die off there would soon be the death of all the ocean's vertebrates and the poisoning of our oceans and seas.

Just something for you to think about as more and more earthquakes happen every day.

The Obama Administration caught in another lie.

"Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show."

Coupled with the GOP on the attack for Her Hide, the Heir Apparent, Hillary Clinton's future doesn't look too good.

"He said the lapse between the requests for more security from Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in the attack, and the government’s response will lead straight to the State Department.“That’s Hillary Clinton in a word, yes or no?” Bill Hemmer asked.Westmoreland said, “Yes, that’s right. It was her show.”

SO just how tight will the GOP turn the screws?  Will they make Hillary too toxic before the 2016 campaign season?  If they do will that allow a hidden candidate to come in from the shadows and take the lead?

New Addition to the Tech Blogs

I just recently ran across Firearms History, Technology & Development, and I've now added it under the Tech Blogs link over on the right. I'll check and see if it is over on the GBBL, if it's not, it will be shortly.

It is a rather informative blog and I think you will enjoy reading it.
