I learned of this whole series of incidents, threats, smears and other unmentionable activities from
Michael Z. Wiliamson. And Michael's closing comments also go for me as well.
"Pardon me for having little sympathy for the culture as a whole. They endorsed this, and still do. But they can't handle it when they get it.
I guess the lesson here is that publishers, hosters, bloggers and authors shouldn't be apologizing to anonymous internet cowards over allegations of anything. Block them, move on, and ignore them. Giving them bandwidth only encourages them.
And hopefully, the "liberal" SF community will learn from this and try to be less racist and judgmental.
Had they started fighting this when she was "only" "punching up" white males of privilege, they might have contained the matter. Now it's turned into a virus.

The following is an open letter to my friends and colleagues who are established members of the science fiction and fantasy community.
And now for
my rebuttal to this.
What did you people expect?
When you in your zeal for "
Social Justice" felt you could lash out and denigrate others and assign blame to them for faults real or perceived? When you "
Shunned" and "
Belittled" others who didn't think or emote the same way you did?
You provided a fertile breeding ground for hatred, all in the name of "
Social Justice". A hatred you declared you were trying to root out. Instead, all you did was to sow the earth with even more hatred, and you went beyond that, you fertilized that hatred. You nurtured it. You sheltered it. You fed it.
And now you have been reaping the fruits and grains of that which you have sown.
And you have found that you don't like it.
And yet, you had no problem with "
Striking Up".
And when someone strikes not just up, but out and around. And you FEEL those blows on yourself and others who you feel kinship to. Only then, do you proclaim, "
NO!"
What Hypocrisy. What Insincerity, What Intellectual Dishonesty. Such mendacity on your part.
There should be no "
Striking" neither "
Up nor Around".
And yet you feel inside yourselves some
Smugness, some sense of
Superiority. As if
You and others
Like You have some
Special Right to determine, to
Judge, that which is and isn't
Right and Just.
I pity you.
For I
Know, that I have
No Right, to
Judge another.
I, can only judge myself, and my own actions and inactions.
I have
No Right, to
Judge another.
And yet you, and others, feel inside your very deepest innermost beings, you feel that not only, do you have the
Right to Judge, but the
Duty and Obligation to do so.
Therein lies
Hubris and our own sense of self worth makes liars of us all.
Some of you may be reading my words and thinking to themselves, "Look, you are judging us through your own words.".
No I am not
Judging you. I am pitying you.
And you, probably fail to see the difference.
You probably couldn't tell the difference.
Let he who is without Sin cast the first stone.
I cast no stones.
For I am not without sin.
I can ask however, "What did you expect?"
When you create the conditions that someone could cast aspersions and dissent all in the name of "
Social Justice"?
Whose Justice?
Or is it more of a lynch mob run amuck?
Beyond the bounds of Decency?
Of Respect for one another?
Just what did you expect?
You have only yourselves to blame. You who have allowed the well to be poisoned. Who cast out those who tried to draw you back from the brink, at which you threw yourselves willingly.
All in the name of "
Social Justice".
I'm sorry.
But your Social Justice is a construct, a sham, a hallucination.
You have been sold a bill of goods and you didn't get a receipt in order to return it and get your money back.
And now the store has been burned down by yourself and your companions.
So where do you go from here?
I don't know.
I don't have the hubris to think I do.
Unlike some of you.
Look into the mirror. Gaze upon yourselves. Your actions.
Ask yourself, how did we come here.
Maybe then you can find your way.

I left my entire rebuttal on Ms. Mixon's post. I also left a notation that if she felt it didn't add to the conversation she was welcome to not publish it from moderation. Evidently she felt my input wasn't what they needed to hear.
I won't judge. But I am disappointed.
