Military training also saves lives

"“It was a gruesome scene,” said Pool, a Hemet resident and native of De Soto, Kan., who has been in the Marine Corps for eight years and served seven months in Iraq in 2008 and 12 months in Afghanistan in 2010.

“I immediately thought of the training we get. ‘Stop the bleeding. Start the breathing. Protect the wound. And treat for shock.’”

Pool couldn’t find a tourniquet in his trauma kit, so Acosta —- a 14-year veteran of the Marine Corps —- suggested he use his belt. Without thinking, Pool said, he ripped his government-issued MCMAP uniform belt off and tied it around Vaughn’s upper left leg."

It's amazing that "Baby Killers" are trained to save lives as well as take them.  But the anti-war hippies won't say that. It would defuse their propaganda.

All American service members receive in their Basic Training Program emergency first aid and CPR training.  In fact when I left BCT at Fort Sill in December 1985 I carried in my wallet 2 small cards from the Red Cross.  One for First-Aid Certification the other for CPR Certification.  I don't know if that is still done, but it was done in my battalion.  When I got to my unit, the 5503d Field Hospital in Columbia Missouri, they reviewed my certs, and one of the guys who was coming from BCT in New Jersey I think, didn't have his.  He was immediately scheduled for the training the following month to get his.

Every  and I do mean EVERY service member from the lowliest private to the generals of the Joint Chiefs all have First Aid  and CPR training.  How many service members are there currently?  And how many former service members?  That is millions of trained first responders.

How many peace and love anti-war idjits are trained the same way?

Who is a help to their fellow man?  Who hinders those who helps their fellow man?
