Technically, the Commandos, much like the Rangers, aren't Special Forces, according to many of the self-proclaimed mavens out there because they aren't all Secret Squirrel and use just regular equipment, but if St Nazaire (or Pointe du Hoc or Cabanatuan) doesn't qualify as a special operation, I don't know what does.
