In Case You Missed It
72% of Voters Disagree with Hillary Clinton
It's no secret that Hillary Clinton has made gun control, particularly the NRA-backed Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), a linchpin of her campaign. However, in true Hillary fashion, her claims that the PLCAA provides broad immunity for law abiding firearms manufacturers and retailers simply aren't true. Politifact rated her repeated assertion that gun manufacturers and sellers are "the only business in America that is wholly protected from any kind of liability" as false. Her claims that American voters stand with her are equally untrue. In fact, a new poll released by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) finds the exact opposite to be true – 72% of voters agree that the PLCAA should be kept, including a majority of voters who supported President Obama in the 2012 election.
By the Numbers

ü Seven of 10 American voters do not believe that crime victims should be able to sue firearm manufacturers and retailers when their product is lawfully made and sold but used illegally to commit a crime.
ü Support for the NRA-backed Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) spans political parties and all U.S. geographic regions.
ü A majority (53%) of respondents who cast a vote for President Obama in the last election support the PLCAA.
