"Drone surveillance in the United States does not require a warrant, but the practice remains limited, the FBI told Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., in a letter after he placed a hold on James Comey’s nomination to be the new FBI director."
I'm sorry, but most drones have FLIR, which means they can actually see through the walls and roofs of your house and see your heat signature. They can see if you are making love to your significant other, or someone other than your significant other. They can follow your car from the air and video where you are going, they can depending on the drone focus microphones on you and record your conversations, not in good quality, but they can record you. I personally find this a gross violation of my privacy rights.
Unless they have a warrant, they have no legal authority to surveil me. Or anyone else.
