It may be old, but it is still relevant

Our children face the same things we did when we were younger.  So them this and explain to them, that they are NOT as unique as they think.  Me personally, I"d rather have one of my kids mad at me for being an old fogey or a stick in the mud, than to have to go to one of their funerals because I was to interested in being their "friend" than their parent.
