I think several lawsuits need to be filed. Granted there was no guarantee the child's life WOULD have been saved by the father. Smoke inhalation is just a bad a killer as fire itself. However the police took that choice away from the father through FORCE. Tasing a man who is willing to sacrifice his own life for his child is an abuse of authority. The police have NO RIGHT Legal or otherwise to stop a man trying to rescue his child. Even if they had information to the otherwise, the police had NO RIGHT. And yet they did it.
Wrongful Death, Unnecessary use of force, Willful Assault, Battery, I can think of a few more things that the police can be sued for in addition to CRIMINAL CHANRGES agains them.
