"The global average of 6.9 murders per 100,000 people is
the benchmark for individual governments to monitor where things may be
going very wrong within their own countries.
Latin America has consistently had many of the highest murder rates
in the world.
Many of the murders are related to the drug cartels that
operate within the area.
The Venezuela Violence Observatory reported at least 19,336 people have been killed in 2011, an average of 53 people a day. As an indicator Venezuela had one of the highest murder rates in the world of 67 people per 100,000."
Seriously, do you understand the causation and correlation of Gun Control?

67 per 100K might be low since the Government has been playing loose with the stats for at least 5 years now.
Better indication is that the capital city of Caracas is opening 2 more Medical Examiner centers to deal with the amount of victims. One is in the east side of town and the other in the west. They hope they will be able to process bodies faster and deliver them to the loved ones for proper services.
