Apologies to all and good wishes as well

I apologize for the lack of posting. I have been busy with my 7 kids and my Ex, and doing things for my mother and family members. I also have been having a small problem with faith, and I've been praying a lot to hopefulyy help me resolve this conflict in my mind. some things have gotten easier others have not and other besides those have cropped up as well. Too many things I know but can't talk about, other things I want to know but the people who know won't talk about. and my consicious has me in a moral dilemma. Certain things I wish to talk about but can't, other things I can talk about but don't want to. Part of it is probably because I suffer from depression, for which I am recieveing treatment, but with the holiday season upon us I like many others are seemingly hit harder by what is supposed to be a joyous time. and I now have to go, another charge upon my time has come in. I'm doing everything for everyone but not what I want to do for me.

God Bless everyone and thankyou for reading my random thoughts and mental processes.

Who woulda thunk it.....

What American accent do you have? (Best version so far)

Neutral

You're not Northern, Southern, or Western, you're just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don't really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.

I just realized.......

That "I" am one of those drivers that "Jay" rails against. I'm the guy who usually drives 5 miles under the speed limit, granted I'm always in the right hand lane, but on one lane roads that's not much comfort to those behind me. When someone tailgates me I intentionally go slower. I always signal 700 to 1000 feet before I turn and start slowing when I signal. My mother who is 65 tells me she hates to ride with me because I drive slower than she does. My kids hate it when their friends see me pick them up because I usually have a parade of cars behind my slow moving carcass. Granted I haven't had a ticket of any type in over 14 years, I'm just not in any urgency most of the time..... Now in the past I DID drive an ambulance, in fact I was specifically trained to do so. I can drive very fast safely, in vehicles from my old Saab 900, up to a Type IV ambulance which is a Modular Ambulance on Steroids on a 2 ton truck frame, it looks like a type I's big brother and weighs almost as much as an unloaded semi with trailer.

This is a type I

This is a Type II

This is a Type III

This is a Type IV

I was trained to drive all of these monsters at high speed safely in all type of weather and road conditions, and too many times I had to drive them to a MVA where someone died because they couldn't drive at high speed safely in all types of weather and road conditions. So I guess I'm honored that Jay would scream and yell at me, but me and my kids, we'll get to our destination in one piece.

For your Eddification

I am the Founding Member of the Missouri-Illinois MAAJC. What? You don't know what that is? Well let me expound upon what the MAAJC is.

Mindless And Aimless Journey Club.

the rules.......... Fill up the car, the cooler and the picnic basket. Spin a full bottle of Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew whichever your personal fave is. Whichever direction the bottle points, you and your companions drive. You will obey all traffic laws, you will in general drive 5-10 miles below the speed limit, you will NOT use any major highway, all side and back roads, and you keep going the direction the bottle pointed. Stop at any place that strikes your fancy, souvenir shop, roadside attraction, state park, anything as long as you keep going in the same general direction. Until you get to a 1/2 tank of gas. then you stop and break out the picnic basket and the cooler and you just kick back and enjoy your food and companionship. Then you head back to home. this is how I found out about all the wineries in Missouri, and Cahokia Mounds State Park and Learning center. Arrow rock in Missouri in between KC and Columbia Mo. It is a small frontier style town, with re-enactments everyone in period dress and Horehound candy .10 cents a stick. We picnicked on top of the Meremac River Bluffs, watching the canoers and jet skiers and all the kids swinging on the rope swing across the river. I found the Lewis and Clark historical site on the Missouri River, where they started their journey to find the source of the Mississippi river, the Locks and Dams and the Cahokia bypass channel. We drove to Nauvoo Illinois where the Mormons tried to find thier own place. I saw old wood bridges, and old homes and roads. I was glad I could take the time to slow down and just enjoy the beauty of nature and the simplicity of old architecture. If you would like to found a Chapter of the MAAJC, just drop me a line and I'll make you and official member, now if I can just get a fancy logo and maybe it's own website for member to post thier photo's of the Journey's.

I've been feeling a little under the weather

so i've missed 2 shows, including my Halloween extravaganza which I had planned to recite a few ghost stories and some creepy sound effects I dug out. But after trick or treating with the kids where we started out at 7:15 pm it was 72 degrees and by 9:00 pm when we got home is was 58 degrees, I was hacking and coughing to the point I could hardly breathe. So I went to bed. Tonights show will only be 15 minutes, but for saturday I'll try to throw in some ghotie stories :).
