A question for Glenn Beck and The Blaze

Why is it I have to block more and more of the junk, trackers, ad servers, cookies, scripts etcetera ad nauseum, almost every time I visit your web site?  And the more stuff I have to block, the slower your site and it's pages load.

I'm on rather slow DSL not super high speed broad band.  When it takes 4 minutes just for your main page to load it kind of disincentives me to want to read your site for material I might want to use on my blog or to get information that I might like to read.

I counted 19 scripts that I HAVE to allow for your site to even load with their accompanying cookies, which leaves 21 other scripts and their cookies I have to block.

And it takes forever for your site to load on 80 kps DSL.

I temporarily authorized everything on your site and it took 7 minutes for everything on your site, including the ads, to load.

SEVEN MINUTES to load ONE page.

I am very seriously considering dropping the link I have on my blog to your site as your site actually has MORE trackers and ads than CNN or FoxNews, and is almost as bad as Facebook.

Fallacies from Bookface

Don't forget the Straw Man Argument -- discrediting the opponent for something that they don't even stand for. Like, "I don't listen to feminists because they all believe every woman who wears a bra hates themselves!!!"

Texting and driving. Please post this on your blogs and share

this with all of your friends.

Please share this around.

Cover/Concealment/Real Cover

Granted this wasn't a full proper block wall.  And not all block walls are equal either.  Some are just stacked together, other are stacked and mortared, others yet, are stacked mortared and filled with sand, concrete, or foam.  There are some that appear to be concrete cinder blocks are actually full concrete all the way through.  There are blocks that have re-bar and concrete in them.

Unless you actually built that wall, you can never know if it is truly cover, or if it is merely concealment.

Think about it.

Respect my Authoritah

"New Roads, La. - An investigation is now in progress following the news of a police officer detaining a firefighter Monday night while in the middle of answering an emergency call."

"A video of an incident at West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas has outraged countless Americans concerned about police brutality. The footage, taken on March 7, shows Officer Steve Rivers breaking a student’s arm so violently that the bone can be heard cracking."

No they are no longer Cops.  They are thugs.  Who think the law doesn't apply to them.

Update with more;

This third one is VERY disturbing.

Captain Phillips-from the inbox

Now that the movie, "Captain Phillips" about the Maersk Alabama hijacking by Somali pirates is out, we need to inform the public about some facts of that event that haven't been made public before.

The following article of facts regarding the incident was written by Dr. John "Jack" Wheeler.

Dr. Wheeler was a man of honor: a West Point graduate, a Vietnam veteran, and the man who was the driving force behind financing the construction of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He fought long and hard for the dignity and honor of the fallen Vietnam War soldiers.

He served three presidents as an aide and advisor -- Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, for whom he was a special assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force and a military consultant.

Jack Wheeler was a graduate student at the Harvard Business School when he was recruited to be an advisor to the president regarding military tactics. He was a man of integrity and served on the General Staff at the Pentagon.

Shortly after writing this article, he was murdered sometime
between Dec. 28th and 31st in 2010 and his body was dumped in a dumpster in Newark , Delaware . Wheeler had homes in Washington, D.C. and New Castle, Del.

Now here's the story as written by Jack Wheeler that was suppressed by the media:

All of us need to raise our glasses the highest to the Navy SEALs who popped those three Somali pirates. And I'm sure you want to hear the real story of what happened especially because there is a revoltingly opportunistic and cowardly side to it.

Why, for example, did it take SEAL Team Six (aka DEVGRU, Navy Special Warfare Development Group) over 36 hours to get to the scene?

Because President Obama refused to authorize the SEAL deployment for those 36 hours, during which the OSC - the on scene commander, Cmdr. Frank Castellano of the USS Bainbridge - repeatedly requested them. Cmdr. Castellano is a very, very mature and experienced commanding officer and is rock solid in his decisions.

Once the SEALs arrived - parachuting from a C-17 into the ocean near the ship - Obama then imposed Rules of Engagement (ROE) specifying the SEALs could not do anything unless the life of the hostage, Captain Richard Phillips, was in "imminent" danger.

Thus, when Capt. Phillips attempted to escape by jumping off the lifeboat into the ocean, the SEAL snipers had all four pirates (one later surrendered) sighted in and could have taken them out then and there - but they could not fire due to Obama's ROE restrictions.

When the SEALs approached the lifeboat in a RIB (rigid-hull inflatable boat) carrying supplies for Capt. Phillips and the pirates, the pirates fired upon them. Not only was no fire returned due to Obama's ROE, but as the pirates were shooting at the RIB, SEAL snipers on the Bainbridge had them all dialed in. Again, no triggers were pulled due to the ROE.

Two specific rescue plans were developed by Cmdr. Castellano and the SEAL teams. Obama personally refused to authorize them.

After the second refusal and days of dithering, Cmdr. Castellano decided he had the Operational Area and OSC authority to "solely determine risk to hostage" and did not require any further approval by the president. He took unilateral action on Sunday, April 12, 2009.

Four hours later, the White House is informed that three pirates are dead and Capt. Phillips has been rescued unharmed. Then a White House press release was immediately issued, giving credit to the president for his "daring and decisive" behavior that resulted in such success.

Obama has absolutely no military knowledge or experience whatsoever. He demanded decisional control over the entire hostage drama to the last detail. All actions required his personal approval. He dithered like a coward while the world laughed at our warships flummoxed by four illiterate teenagers with worn-out AKs in a lifeboat.

Only when the Navy Commander decided to ignore his Pantywaist-in Chief and take action and responsibility himself, were the incredible skills of the SEALs put into play.

That Obama could cynically and opportunistically claim that his "bold" "calm" "tough" leadership was responsible should remind everyone that not a single action, not a single word of this man can be trusted. He is bereft of honesty and moral character. He is a complete Zero.

The HFR raises a glass full of pride and gratitude to Navy Commander Frank Castellano, the Navy SEALs for their incredible competence, and our military. Let's hold a Tea Party in their honor.

What a low-life, lying, racist, Muslim, Marxist, Manchurian coward we have running our government. It is a disgrace to the office.

* Commander Frank Castellano*

WOW!!! Wonder who could possibly have wanted to see Jack Wheeler dead!!! Probably the same person who had Breitbart killed. Strange that they both spoke the truth about our spineless, phony, usurper at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Harry Reid "You're too stupid to sign up for ObamaCare

"There are some people who are not like my grandchildren who can handle everything so easily on the Internet, and these people need a little extra time. ... The example they gave us is a 63-year-old woman came into the store and said, 'I almost got it. Every time I just about got there, it would cut me off.' We have a lot of people just like this through no fault of the Internet, but [because] people are not educated on how to use the Internet," he said."

Excuse me?  What has this to do with the millions of millennials who ARE tech and internet savvy who REFUSE to sign up for your Chinese Fire Drill?

It doesn't.  It's CYA on the part of Reid and the rest of the DNC to save their jobs while they try to drum up support among the millennials who originally wanted ObamaCare/Affordable Care Act and now that they are finding out just what it will actually cost them, they don't want ANYTHING to do with it.

They would much rather pay the fine coming out of their nonexistent tax refunds than to pay one dime towards the hunk of junque that came out of D.C.

All President Obama and the DNC are doing is to try to get some breathing room so they can try to get some more sign ups.  I personally don't doubt that we will find that the "subsidy" amounts will suddenly be increased to reduce the out of pocket expenses for the millennials as an enticement to get them to buy into it.  And watch even that be a bait and switch.

Sure they might get a larger subsidy, but for how long?

Lindsey Stirling - Beyond the Veil

A teacher quits saying the system is broken.

"Susan Sluyter has been a teacher for more than two decades. One can imagine that she’s seen and adjusted to her fair share of change within the educational system during her 25 years in the field, but the more recent shift in requirements was so dramatic that she resigned last month.

“In this disturbing era of testing and data collection in the public schools, I have seen my career transformed into a job that no longer fits my understanding of how children learn and what a teacher ought to do in the classroom to build a healthy, safe, developmentally appropriate environment for learning for each of our children,” Sluyter wrote in her resignation letter to the Cambridge Public School District in Massachusetts in February."

Our society tries to quantify, and generalize education.  However it fails to take into account that every student is different.

Meanwhile, the teachers association and special interest groups do their best to make it "Easier" for children to learn and "Easier" on teachers by dumbing down the information.

Teacher get raises based not on whether their students can read, write, do arithmetic, and actually undestand their lessons.  But on whether or not they base some arbitrary test.

Teachers who try to actually teach are driven from the field, by their own district administrations because they don't want anyone to rock the boat.

Lord help them if they actually had to "Do their job."

The rise of districts with more administrative staff than teachers, all being paid high wages than the teachers who are doing the primary job of educating our children.

How much longer before we get High School Graduates who can't even do simple math or read?

Oh, I'm sorry we already have that.

It's time to change if not tear the whole system down and start over from scratch.

First fire all the administrators.

Then start evaluating each and every teacher based on their students actual grasp of the materials they are already supposed to know.  Observe them in the classroom.  If the teacher cannot teach, fire them as well.

Take out all the old text books,  Start with the ones used in the 50's and "TEACH".

Where are your glasses?-from the inbox

Yesterday my daughter e-mailed me again asking why I didn't do something useful with my time.

Like sitting around the pool and drinking wine is not a good thing, I said.

Talking about my "doing something useful" seems to be her favorite topic of conversation.

She was "only thinking of me" she said, and suggested I go down to the senior center and hang out with the guys.

I did this and when I got home last night I decided to teach her a lesson about staying out of my business.

I e-mailed her and told her that I had joined a parachute club.

She replied, "Are you nuts?

You are 73 years old, and now you're going to start jumping out of airplanes?"

I told her that I even got a membership card and e-mailed a copy to her.

She immediately telephoned me, "Good grief, where are your glasses!

This is a membership to a Prostitute Club,

not a Parachute Club."

"Oh man, I'm in trouble again; I really don't know what to do...

I signed up for five jumps a week."

The line went quiet and her friend picked up the phone and said that my daughter had fainted.

Life as a senior citizen is not getting any easier but sometimes it can be fun.

Old Butch-from the inbox

Old Butch

Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing.

Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

Fred's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover

To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.

He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Brisbane City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.
Vote carefully in the next election, the bells are not always audible.

Rampant Injustice - Spread this

Please Spread this video around.

"A short documentary by Jan Morgan of JanMorganMedia, called "Rampant Injustice" exposes the federal abuse of power that has taken place since Obama was elected. This underexposed video documents the egregious trampling of the Constitutional rights of Americans during white collar crime investigations by the Department of Justice and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Internal Revenue Service.

Between 2009 and 2011, IRS audits against small businesses increased 32%. Federal warrants against businesses have also increased substantially with many of the raids conducted by SWAT teams.

Among the hundreds of businesses raided by the IRS and Department of Justice, using paramilitary, gestapo like tactics, was Mountain Pure Water Bottling Company and Duncan Outdoors, Inc., both situated in Arkansas and Gibson Guitar located in Tennessee. Their stories are profiled in the documentary which has been up on YouTube since October 31 of last year. The abusive targeting practices of the IRS toward conservative organizations have finally made the news, but these stories need exposure too.

The IRS and DOJ are out of control, and have been at war against small businesses."

The police can listen to all of your cell communications

Another reason to use a throwaway

My takeaway from the article is this, if the cops target the dope dealer or gang member 3 doors down, their device can't differentiate his/her cell phone from yours.

So your cell comms are being captured as well as theirs and also your neighbors, your neighbor's neighbors. And what are they doing with those intercepted comms?

Are they going through and checking your text messages and phone calls to see if maybe you are doing something that might be a chargeable offense?   Are they deleting information that doesn't relate directly to the target of their operation?

No One Knows.

And the Cops aren't talking, neither is the manufacturer.

So I have a VERY big problem with this.

If you aren't the target of the investigation, they are still gathering your cell comms.  And not only are they not letting you know they are/were doing it, you don't know if they went through all of your calls, texts, and web browsing though your cell.

So we need some answers.  And and I said.

The cops AIN'T talking.

A Rant I posted on Bookface

Yes all of those are perfectly legal Rifle's. Even the black scary looking one.

It is a Semi-Automatic rifle.

A "Assault" Rifle is a rifle that has the ability to fire fully automatically.

Fully Automatic means that you can pull the trigger and hold it back and it will continue to fire until you either release the trigger or the rifle runs out of ammunition.

The black rifle is a Semi-Automatic. Which means that after firing you have to release the trigger so it can reset, before you can pull the trigger again to fire it again.

And despite what the uninformed people and politicians say, the original AR-15 was designed and built as a CIVILIAN rifle. A rifle made specifically for me and you without any special permit or licenses.
The U.S. Air Force bought the rifle for their use for the Air Police adding the capability to fire on full automatic to it. then the U.S. Army Special Forces tried out the rifle in a little place you might have heard of called Vietnam.
They Special Forces liked the rifle and wanted more. Then Robert McNamera got involved.

Do you know who Robert McNamera is?

He was the Secretary of Defense under President's Kennedy and Johnson.

Democrat Presidents.

And soon the AR-15 became the XM-15 and then the M-16 and then the M-16-A1 of Vietnam fame.
So the Democrats took a Civilian rifle, and Militarized it.

And now Democrats and uninformed hysterical, illogical people want to ban what is basically the same civilian rifle that just has had some cosmetic features on it changed.

Do you see the logical disconnect here?

When the AR-15, which DESPITE what ignorant, uninformed people claim DOESN'T MEAN AUTOMATIC RIFLE, it means Armalite Rifle Model 15, was first sold to the public, it took an existing varmint hunting caliber the .222 Remington and slightly modified it to give higher velocity and a slightly heavier bullet, and put it in a light handy rifle using aircraft grade aluminum parts. It is a descendant of the Armalite Rifle Model 10 which was a full size rifle which was designed in the hopes to replace the existing M-14 Battle Rifles that had then were issued to our troops at the time.

Here read the first part of the M-16's wikipedia entry;

"The M16 rifle, officially designated Rifle, Caliber 5.56 mm, M16, is the United States military select-fire adaptation of the AR-15 rifle. The rifle was adapted for semi-automatic and full-automatic fire. Colt purchased the rights to the AR-15 from ArmaLite, and currently uses that designation only for semi-automatic versions of the rifle"
Get that?

It's not the bullet hose you see in the movies and tv shows that the Democrats and illogical gun-banners would have you believe.

Now let's give part of the description of the AR-15;

"The AR-15 was first built by ArmaLite as a small arms rifle for the United States armed forces. Because of financial problems, ArmaLite sold the AR-15 design to Colt. After modifications (most notably the relocation of the charging handle from under the carrying handle like the AR-10 to the rear of the receiver), the new redesigned rifle was subsequently adopted as the M16 rifle. Colt then started selling the semi-automatic version of the M16 rifle as the Colt AR-15 for civilian sales in 1963 and the term has been used to refer to semiautomatic-only versions of the rifle since then. Although the name "AR-15" remains a Colt registered trademark, variants of the firearm are independently made, modified and sold under various names by multiple manufacturers."

See when Colt start selling it to the General Public (Me and you)? 1963.

What is the year right now? 2014

That means the design for the AR-15 has been around for uhhhmmmmmm

carry the 3,

This rifle design has been around for over half a century and you people are screaming "Ohhh it's evil ban it, it's too dangerous!!"

Put your big girl panties on and shut up!

The AR-15 and rifles of it's type have been used in less than .007% of all the violent crimes committed in the US since it's inception.

Don't believe me?

Here is the link so you can look it up for yourself

So please anti-gunners, get properly educated and quit trying to impose your will upon me and others due to your own uncontrollable fears.

In fact I highly suggest you get some psychological and psychiatric help for your fears and projection complexes.

(All this came about because Erin got into it with an ignorant gun banner on another thread on Bookface which you can find here; )

What does the Obama Administration have to hide?

Mike Weisser - Grey Lock Holsters - Ware Gun Shop - mikethegunguy

Is NOT ME.  From Ammoland;

"Manasquan, NJ --( Mike Weisser, proprietor of the Ware Gun Shop in Ware, MA is a con-man, deadbeat and enemy of the Second Amendment!

How can we make such bold statement?

Because we know first hand, fact is he owes AmmoLand Shooting Sports News for advertising we ran for him, when he was doing business as “Grey Lock Holsters” in 2012. On good faith we ran his ads, as we do with all our advertisers, and after making him loads of money he stiffed us for $1800.00, dodging all our phone calls and emails ever since.

Yeah we know. Having people steal from you happens in any business, we can deal with that, but here is the rub with this POS.

So called mikethegunguy, Mike Weisser, is basically a double agent agent working to undermine our second rights with his articles on his blog mikethegunguy, the Huffington Post and elsewhere on the web. ( common sense should tell any gunny that a so called pro gun writer for HUFPO is a joke )."

For the Record, MY name is "Mark" and I've been going by GreyLocke, (Notice the "E" at the end) since the early 90's, and while I've driven through Massachusetts, I do not and have never done business there or lived there.  I don't read the HuffPoS unless someone else is linking to an article there.  I pay my bills and I truly support our Second Amendment Rights.

There are a couple of other Grey Locke's out there 3 or 4 of them area also me, just modifications of my user name to help me deal with could storage and a few other issues.

There are so Greylocke's, Grey Lock's, Grey Locke's, Graylock's, Gray Locke's etc and they are NOT me.

Once again for the record.  My name is Mark and I live near Corpus Christi Texas.  And while I have several possibly commercial ideas that have the possibility to make money, I haven't started them due to the lack of funds/time on my part.

So no, I don't own any business other than this blog, and while I do get maybe 100 a year off of this it's not really a business.  As for my political views as I've stated them many times here on this blog, I am a rather virulent small "L" libertarian who believes government has too much influence, is too damn big, too damn intrusive in our lives and too dismissive of our Rights which are affirmed and guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

And while I have a couple of ideas about a some custom holsters, I ALSO have the e-mail address of Evyl Robot and HE DOES make holsters.  So if I need one built, he would be the one building it, NOT me.

And while I USED to work on guns as an apprentice/assistant gunsmith in Missouri, my specialty is for the most part black powder rifle's, pistol's and revolver's and single and pump action cartridge shotguns.  However I worked under my former father in law and for a major repair center, I was never the licensee or on any of the business licenses.

UGH!  Let me sum this up.  I am in no way associated with "Grey Lock Holsters", "Mike Weisser", "Ware Gun Shop" or "Huffington Post".  And anyone who says different is a liar with a suspicious agenda or grossly misinformed.

H/t to Wisco Dave for the heads up.
