"A confidential, 120-page catalogue of spy equipment, originating from British defense firm Cobham and circulated to U.S. law enforcement, touts gear that can intercept wireless calls and text messages, locate people via their mobile phones, and jam cellular communications in a particular area.
The catalogue was obtained by The Intercept as part of a large trove of documents originating within the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, where spokesperson Molly Best confirmed Cobham wares have been purchased but did not provide further information. The document provides a rare look at the wide range of electronic surveillance tactics used by police and militaries in the U.S. and abroad, offering equipment ranging from black boxes that can monitor an entire town’s cellular signals to microphones hidden in lighters and cameras hidden in trashcans. Markings date it to 2014."
Seriously read that article. It's scary that US Law Enforcement agencies can obtain those technologies, and not only do we NOT know they have them, but the fact that many of these technologies are used without obtaining a warrant.

Windows 10 is spying on you
"Windows 10 is amazing. Windows 10 is fantastic. Windows 10 is glorious. Windows 10 is faster, smoother and more user-friendly than any Windows operating system that has come before it. Windows 10 is everything Windows 8 should have been, addressing nearly all of the major problems users had with Microsoft’s previous-generation platform in one fell swoop.
But there’s something you should know: As you read this article from your newly upgraded PC, Windows 10 is also spying on nearly everything you do."
Please click on that to read the full article.
I DON'T like being spied on. Not by my Government, not by a Software Company, not by ANYONE.
Under the US Constitution, I have the RIGHT to my privacy. For some company to or the government to spy on what I do is reprehensible.
So take steps to protect your privacy.
And on any Windows 8 machine I ALWAYS set my account up as a LOCAL account. NEVER let Microsoft "Sync" your accounts. Always use a Local Account.

Why the NSA and British Intelligence tries to hack your Anti-Virus
"The efforts to compromise security software were of particular importance because such software is relied upon to defend against an array of digital threats and is typically more trusted by the operating system than other applications, running with elevated privileges that allow more vectors for surveillance and attack. Spy agencies seem to be engaged in a digital game of cat and mouse with anti-virus software companies; the U.S. and U.K. have aggressively probed for weaknesses in software deployed by the companies, which have themselves exposed sophisticated state-sponsored malware."
How does it feel to know your Government is doing it's best to subvert your computer security? So they can track you on-line, and peer into the contents of your hard drive? And instead of STOPPING those who create Mal-Ware, instead, exploit the very Mal-Ware they have created, to exploit your compromised Security Software.

The police can listen to all of your cell communications
Another reason to use a throwaway
My takeaway from the article is this, if the cops target the dope dealer or gang member 3 doors down, their device can't differentiate his/her cell phone from yours.
So your cell comms are being captured as well as theirs and also your neighbors, your neighbor's neighbors. And what are they doing with those intercepted comms?
Are they going through and checking your text messages and phone calls to see if maybe you are doing something that might be a chargeable offense? Are they deleting information that doesn't relate directly to the target of their operation?
No One Knows.
And the Cops aren't talking, neither is the manufacturer.
So I have a VERY big problem with this.
If you aren't the target of the investigation, they are still gathering your cell comms. And not only are they not letting you know they are/were doing it, you don't know if they went through all of your calls, texts, and web browsing though your cell.
So we need some answers. And and I said.
The cops AIN'T talking.

Even Paranoids have enemies
"Someone might be watching you through your laptop's webcam – without even activating the warning light. Reports say the FBI has had this capability for several years, and researchers at John's Hopkins were able to demonstrate how to covertly spy via webcams in MacBooks."
I've been accused of being paranoid. Those people who called me that pointedly ignore every news story I send them about Edward Snowden's revelations.
They totally ignore every other story I send them about the NSA, FBI, CIA, DEA, and ATF Abuses.
And yet they still call me paranoid.
I call them oblivious and clueless.
