Do you think Obummers sycophants are starting
"Earlier this week, we posted an article about the DNC sponsoring, as an “official event” JUMAH at the DNC (watch the promotional video here).
Florida Family Association sent out an email alert on August 29, 2012 which reported the following two sub headlines:The Gateway Pundit has the story and links
“DNC approves Jumah for 20,000 Muslims.” “RNC adopts anti-Sharia plank at convention.”
The email alert and Floridafamily.org website provided a link to the DNC web site calendar of events which at that time and up until yesterday afternoon included the Juma event, which the original DNC website listed as an “official function.”
However, since then, the Jumah event was removed from the DNC web site calendar, and there is no reference at all to the event. A supporter noted in an e-mail, “It was still there 5.30 PM on 8/30/2012 and at 6.30 PM it was gone! I looked everywhere but it’s not listed anymore.”
Another sign Obama and his minions will do ANYTHING to maintain power
"Labor Dept. Waives 60-Day Notice To Help Obama Win Politics:
An administration that doesn't want layoff notices required by law going out days before the November election is telling defense contractors they don't have to send them for the cuts required by sequestration.
As the heads of major defense contractors Lockheed Martin, EADS North America, Pratt & Whitney and Williams-Pyro testified recently before the House Armed Services Committee, they are bound by law to give employees 60 days' notice if their jobs are going to be terminated as a result of sequestration cuts scheduled for Jan. 2."

"Condoleezza Rice keeps saying her future is in California and she has no designs on national office.
Well…how about her running for statewide office in California then?
I’d love to see that happen.
It would be fun to watch Democrats alienate black people as they try to attack her.
The big way Democrats attack black candidates is by calling them pejoratives riffs on Harriet Beecher Stowe characters. Ignorantly, they call Condi by the hateful “Aunt Tom” name…which is just dumb because Uncle Tom’s wife in the book is Aunt Jane, who also lived in the cabin. So, the Leftists who attempt to terrorize black female conservatives are illiterate not knowing that the slur they actually mean to use against black women like Condi or Mia Love is “Aunt Jane”.
The Tolerant Left: as ill-read as it is hateful."

Mitt Romney forcing Obummer to actually do his job.
"President Barack Obama was today forced to announce he will fly to storm-hit Louisiana on Monday – hours after Mitt Romney beat him to the punch by deciding to head there this afternoon.
After it emerged that Obama was still taking time to fit in a campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio, before checking out how clean-up operations are proceeding in the Bayou state, the Obama campaign abruptly cancelled that event, though he will still hold a rally in Toledo, Ohio before heading south.
But the Republican presidential candidate touched down in the Hurricane ravaged state this afternoon - a full three days before Obama - touring the flooded areas around Lafitte and showing his support for local residents."
Obummer's campaign actually canceled a campaign stop to fund raise so their anointed one could be seen as actually doing the job he is supposed to be doing.
And I know there are going to be many on the Left who will sarcastically ask why Mitt Romney is even there. He isn't President so what authority does he have there. They don't get it. Mitt isn't there as an authority figure. He is there because he is a compassionate person and he can't not try to help. Also by checking out the response going on now he can help with future issues by identifying areas where more attention needs to be paid. What works, what doesn't, and what could use improvement. But that won't matter to the Left, only re-electing their obamessiah.
The Hypocrisy of the left and the media - Burning Man
What you didn't catch was something rather important. I saw almost no news reports about Burning Man this entire week. Why? Because they couldn't point out the obvious disconnect of attempting to hold their Leftist supporters out at the Playa , to the same standard that they hold Nasty Conservatives and Disgusting Republicans to. That would allow the light to shine in, and they want those curtains tightly closed. If the light got through to expose the truth, well even the Left couldn't ignore their own hypocrisy.
And the hypocrisy is is glaring and obvious to anyone but a lefty. Anyone who doesn't agree in lockstep is evil and must be humiliated, marginalized and destroyed, for their very existence puts lie to the lefts so called "enlightenment"

Obama wants Constitutional Amendment to limit free speech
"President Barack Obama used the online springboard provided by Reddit to dive into the media crush at the GOP convention, with a skillfully executed call for a constitutional amendment to curb the free-speech of wealthier people and corporations.
“I think we need to seriously consider mobilizing a constitutional amendment process to overturn Citizens United. … Even if the amendment process falls short, it can shine a spotlight of the super PAC phenomenon and help apply pressure for change,” Obama said during 4:30 p.m. EST online event."
Oh really? How about we limit the funds Unions can give to political campaigns, and Political Action Committees? How about we limit the franchise ONLY to people who ACTUALLY PAY TAXES. Just how free will we be then?

"Can we finally admit that some people voted for him because he was black? I don’t mean to imply that it was a crude racial preference, so much as this. As I said before, the election of a black president was an important benchmark in racial progress, and there was a desire among good people of all colors that we pass that benchmark as quickly as possible. …Minutes of the Fed’s July 31-Aug. 1 meeting, released this week, showed the Fed leaning strongly toward actions that could include a new round of bond buying, guidance that interest rates will stay low for even longer than previously thought, or other measures. The Fed next meets Sept. 12 and 13. …The Fed has held off on new action, in part, because officials wanted to see how markets and the economy responded to Operation Twist. One of several options on the table for the Fed’s September meeting is for the central bank to replace Operation Twist with an outright bond-buying program."

The FCC issued a request for comments on the proposal in April. Dozens of companies and trade associations have weighed in, but the issue has largely flown under the public's radar."
Also as Insty noted,I thought that any taxes had to originate in Congress.
Since when have government agencies had the authority to levy taxes on american citizens? With the EPA levying "Fines" and "Fees" on industry, and BATFEIEIO increasing fees for FFL's and other items. When did Congress delegate it's authority to these agencies?
On Emergency Preparedness
I've got news for a lot of people out there. The only person responsible for ensuring your safety in a time of disaster and collapse.......
Is YOU.
You are responsible for your own safety, not the government, not your neighbor who planned ahead, not your parents (Unless you are still a child) YOU ARE.
A lot of people will sit back and say, "That's the governments job, to take care of me." NOPE! It is not the governments job to take care of you. It is the governments job to do it's best to ensure the safety and security of the entire nation. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one." Yes I know it's Star Trek, but that is how the government is in real life. Remember Hurricane Katrina? Remember New Orleans? Which may be happening again as I sit here and type this. The local government didn't fulfill it's mission to ensure the safety and security of it's populace, then the state government failed to step in to do it's duty. And despite what you may think, FEMA's response isn't even designed to start until 3 days AFTER they get a disaster declaration from the STATE government. Which they didn't get. President Bush made the declaration to get the wheels rolling, as Governor Blanco wouldn't get off her butt and do her job. So your life expectancy may be at the whims of an inept or incompetent local or state government.
What does that mean?
It means get off your lazy butt and start making your own preparations, because no one else will be making them for you. Others who are already making preparations will not include you in their plans. And unless you are financially contributing NOW, don't expect your money to sway someone who has been preparing. What good will your money be then when you can't find anymore food, or medical supplies or even drinking water or fuel?
If you want to thrive past a major emergency, not just survive but thrive, you had better get off your butt and start taking actions NOW. Because unfortunately, I believe that the time we have to prepare is becoming less and less.
Just for the record - Book reviews
But to return to the topic in question:
"Suddenly it hit him. Instead of trying to cajole others to review a client’s work, why not cut out the middleman and write the review himself? Then it would say exactly what the client wanted — that it was a terrific book. A shattering novel. A classic memoir. Will change your life. Lyrical and gripping, Stunning and compelling. Or words to that effect."
So writing ANYTHING the customer wants instead of actually reading the book and giving an honest review, just so long as you get your money. Thank you for destroying the reputation of people who actually try to give honest reviews. But hey as the sating goes, "Anything for money." I'm sorry but that isn't right. You are deceiving the authors whose books you are reviewing and the public at large. I am a writer, if someone is going to review my work, I want an honest opinion so I know if I am actually getting the reader into the actual story, if my writing puts them as one of the characters. Can they get the suspension of disbelief to enjoy the story. I can't find out if my writing has done that with a fake paid review.
So that paid service cheats both the readers and the the authors. Doesn't seem like a good deal now, does it?
Soldiers dishonor their Oaths
These individuals have dishonored the Oaths they took and smeared every other member of the armed forces of this country with their actions. They took an Oath, the same one I took, the same one millions of others men and women took, and then they crapped on that Oath. Broke it, violated it and dishonored it.
To many people the idea that I would hold true to an Oath even though I was discharged from the Army in 1987, would seem to be ridiculous. It is not. When you take an Oath, you give that Oath your heart and soul's worth. It is not something you can just give a passing thought to. I swore an Oath to God, to protect this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That Oath didn't end when I got out of the army. That Oath is part of my soul and will be with me until the day I die. And those people dishonored the Oath I took. Their actions reflect on everyone who took that Oath.
The military will be charging these individuals as well. One of those charges I hope is for the violation of their Oath. For I don't know how to clean the stain their actions have cast upon everyone who took that Oath.

Riot plans for the RNC Convention
"Riot Plans For RNC"
More Occupy in Tampa
"My advice to Dems and liberals planning on attending peaceful demonstrations at the RNC; they will not be peaceful. Someone else on your side already planned them otherwise. You will get hurt. It's been baked in the cake, by your own organizers, whose intent, absolutely, is to cynically abuse you.
Brandon Darby was tweeting about this the other day and I'm glad to see a full-length explanation of what he's talking about.
Mr. Darby's involvement helped stop the bomb plot at the 2008 RNC. When he infiltrated the protests at the last RNC, he found that both the peaceful, mainstream Dem protesters and the violent douchebags who were trying to shut down the convention were directed by the same organizers. A key to their strategy is that the mainstream people were unaware of the true goal of these organizers."

2016: Obamas America
10 Reasons You Need to See “2016: Obama’s America” TODAY
Not just NO!but H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS NO!
But the proposal hinges on something many private citizens and privacy or security advocates will likely find uncomfortable: creating an “emergency switch” that lets government employees disable the security mechanisms in the wireless routers people have set up in their own homes. This would allow first responders to use all the routers within range to enhance the capabilities of the mesh networks that allow them to communicate with each other. In a mesh network, each node or device can route traffic to the other devices on the network through a series of hops. Adding devices (in this case wireless routers) thus improves the network's stability and performance."
This incremental intrusion on the rights and privacy of people is becoming flat out ridiculous and obscene. I am reminded of the wild hog analogy or the pie analogy, where bit by bit you are either trapped, or bit by bit your slice of the pie gets smaller and smaller until you have no pie. I am a HAM radio operator and I know there are much better ways of ensuring communications for emergency responders. Many HAM Radio Clubs, operate Repeaters which allow HAM Operators the ability to communicate hundreds and in some cases thousands of miles.
All it would take would be to allow more repeaters, and allow HAM Clubs to setup secondary frequencies on the repeaters. There are linked repeaters which allow a HAM Operator to transmit on 1 band and have his or her signal repeated cross band to a completely different frequency band, which could be operating at a much higher transmitting power than the standard repeater. Allowing the HAM Clubs to install more repeaters which they do already at their own cost, not the governments, and the ability to cross band repeat on the necessary frequencies would cover the need without interfering with private individuals home routers.
All it would need is a rule changes and a phone patch setup. A standard radio that could transmit DTMF tones could switch the repeater from the HAM Frequencies to the Emergency services frequencies.
If the FCC would allow it, many HAM Clubs would build new repeaters and modify existing repeaters for use in emergencies. It wouldn't cost the Government or local cities and municipalities a dime. Many HAM Radio Operators already volunteer their time and equipment in times of need, such as earthquakes, fires, tornado's and hurricanes. All that is required is a small rule change by the FCC, and there could be thousands of repeaters setup for emergency crossband repeating within weeks if not days.
So as you see, this plan to have an "Emergency Switch" for everyone's wireless router isn't needed.
And if necessary, there are HAM Radio Repeater which ARE tied into the Internet already if that capability is needed.
Neil Armstrong, the first man to step on the surface of the moon
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former U.S. astronaut, Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, has died at the age of 82, U.S. media reported on Saturday.
Armstrong underwent a heart-bypass surgery earlier this month, just two days after his birthday on August 5, to relieve blocked coronary arteries.
As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969. As he stepped on the moon's dusty surface, Armstrong said: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
I was just an toddler and in the hospital after falling out of the third story window at my family's apartment next to Tower Grove Park, in St. Louis, when Neil Armstrong, And Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. I was too young to know the great achievement, that had just transpired.
However through my life I have always been fascinated with space and the idea of space travel.
He was a great man, who inspired thousands of individuals, and he will be missed.

Unintended Consequences and Rape Hypocrisy
First about Shirley Sherrod and Unintended Consequences:
"By the way, the USDA had no way of knowing this at the time but Andrew didn’t have a drip-drip-drip planned. His focus was on the NAACP crowd’s reaction, not Shirley Sherrod. The irony is that Breitbart didn’t know about Pigford until after the Sherrod story went nuts."
Next Lee talks about the Akin debacle and the Left's hypocrisy as it pertains to Republicans and certain subjects.
"As the institutional left and their media have gone into feeding frenzy mode over the “legitimate rape” comment by Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin, they have banked on two things. First, that conservatives will have standards and that many will call Akin out. This has come to pass as the GOP establishment, right wing blogs and conservative pundits have all lambasted Akin. The second thing the left is counting on, however, is that nobody will call out the left;s own hypocrisy. This has turned out to also be a very safe bet. The result is the spectacle of a bipartisan attack on Akin over a comment he made. To reiterate, this was over words."

Family Research Council Shooting
"It is hard to believe that a man that carried in so much ammunition with him, and which had two separate known organizations targeted for murder for their political beliefs and their support of a Christian-owned family restaurant, is not being charged with domestic terrorism or anti-Christian hate crimes.
Is there any doubt at all he would have faced such charges if he had attacked a mosque, CAIR, or leftwing outfits like Media Matters or the Tides Foundation?
This is a selective non-prosecution by the Obama Department of Justice, where left wing criminals simply are not prosecuted."

New York City Shooting
"From piecing together the various media accounts, we know that Johnson was most likely armed with a M1911 .45 ACP pistol, which has a 7 or 8 round magazine. He shot his victim 2-3 times, leaving 5-6 bullets. At least one was found in the magazine, and we have to assume one in the chamber as well.
That means he fired 3-4 bullets, tops, at police.
There were at least three hits on Johnson confirmed by a witness, which suggests the majority of the wounded were hit by the 11-12 additional rounds let loose by the NYPD that missed Johnson."
The Comment I left there is:
"When I was in law enforcement we were only required to qualify twice a year. 50 rounds set distances, and you only had to score 175 out of 300 to qualify. 175 points out of 300. And over 40% of the other officers had to shoot 2 or 3 times to pass. I was shooting on average 300 plus rounds a month trying to maintain proficiency. Most officers only shot at quals and no other times. My departments training budget was $15.00 per officer per month, and we were not paid for training. If we were lucky they’d actually buy a box of ammo and a couple of targets. Anything else was on our time and our dime. So it doesn’t surprise me if the majority if not all of the wounded bystanders were shot by officers and not the perp."
With more and more emphasis in training being on "High Speed" tactics and less on marksmanship, is this any surprise?
Over Regulation kills business
That is, unless you live in Chattanooga.
"How many regulations are necessary to dictate how a licensed, responsible adult should operate an oversized tricycle? If those regulations come from the nanny-state tyrants responsible for drafting the City of Chattanooga’s pedicab ordinance, the answer is 11 pages’ worth.
When longtime Chattanooga-area resident Christian “Thor” Thoreson and his partner Christina Holmes decided to launch Buzz Chattanooga Pedicabs in February 2011, the business seemed tailor-made for the downtown area."
The simple willing ignorance of city officials just boggles the mind.
And an additional story on the situation.
"The Chattanooga Times Free Press published an editorial obituary for a pedicab company killed by regulations this week.
Buzz Chattanooga was supposed to schlep people around the Scenic City in the backs of oversized tricycles. Christian “Thor” Thoreson and his partner Christina Holmes hoped the company would appeal to official hoping to boost tourism and minimize drunk driving and congestion. They jumped through a bunch of hoops to get the business off the ground."
With unemployment reaching a true level in excess of 13% including people who have stopped looking for work, to put so many impediments in the way of a business which if allowed to prosper could have revitalized your own downtown area, thereby increasing your own tax revenues, AND getting more people working and paying taxes. It should be a Win-Win situation. But the city of Chattanooga killed it.
Great Job!!!!
You are more likely to be shot in your own backyard
From This Ain't Hell I found the following story:
"SPRING VALLEY — As a Spring Valley woman recovered from a gunshot wound Tuesday in a hospital, her family is demanding answers from the sheriff’s deputy who accidentally fired the bullet.
Sheriff’s officials said Jennifer Orey, 36, was shot during a surprise encounter with a deputy in her back yard Sunday night. The bullet first grazed her chest, then went through her arm and ricocheted off her pinky finger."
Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies were searching for "A man in a ski mask", and instead found a home owner checking her own property after hearing nosies. One of them shoots her, no verbal warnings, just BANG! And the Deputies excuse? “I’m sorry, you startled me”. You shot an innocent woman because she startled you? You were in "HER" back yard without her permission, without notifying her the homeowner you were on her property and you shot her. I have a few issues with this story.
#1: why were you in her back yard? As a former LEO, unless we had the subject in sight we could not enter ANYONE'S property without the permission of property owner or tenant. These two deputies were responding to a call of a man in a ski mask. They did not see the subject they were looking for, therefore they had no legal authority to enter her property. Which they did through an "Open Gate", which they thought was suspicious. Uhhh, No. My former Departments policy was you did NOT enter someone's property UNLESS you had actually sighted your subject. Just because a gate is open is not in and of itself suspicious. They should have noted it and attempted to contact the resident before entering the yard. In Missouri if you entered someone's property without permission and without being in pursuit of a subject "YOU" the officer were guilty of Trespassing.
#2: Why was the Deputy's finger on the trigger of an unholstered weapon? The report was a subject in a ski mask. According to the news story there was no mention made of a weapon. So why was his finger on the trigger, in a yard he had no permission to be in?
#3: Where was the Deputy's flashlight? It was nighttime, how does anyone expect to identify anyone, either a subject you are looking for or an innocent citizen? I carried 2 flashlights, my AA battery Minimag and my 2 D cell Maglight, ALWAYS. And these days more and more officers have weapons lights mounted to prevent occurrences such as this.
These are just the beginnings of the questions I have.
Julia at Mininerd has a post up about jealousy
"WOW, I just met the people who care about Romney’s tax rate! Well, I didn’t just meet them, because I’ve worked with them for years, but I didn’t know people were actually falling for that narrative! I knew from a previous conversation that these people were very pro-union (they won’t shop at Wal-Mart, and apparently their male relatives would “kill them” if they ever crossed a picket line), but I overheard a conversation today on the way to the printer that had me twitching."
Violations ala Brandon Raub
"At this point – July 1933 – the National Socialist Party had not fully consolidated its power, and many Germans publicly speculated "that the Nazi regime itself had orchestrated the fire to stir fears of a Bolshevik uprising and thereby gain popular support for the suspension of civil liberties," observes Erik Larson in his recent book In the Garden of Beasts. "The upcoming trial was the talk of Berlin."
Martha noticed that "contrary to what news reports had led her to expect, the building seemed intact," Larson relates. "The towers still stood and the facades appeared unmarked."
"Oh, I thought it was burned down!" she commented to the agitated protocol secretary who was conducting the tour. "It looks all right to me. Tell me what happened."
In reply to Martha's request, the protocol officer grabbed the young woman by the arm and hissed: "Young lady, you must learn to be seen and not heard. This isn’t America and you can’t say all the things you think." People who challenged the government’s official version of events by asking impertinent questions faced the prospect of "protective custody." In Berlin circa 1933, this was called schutzhaft. In the contemporary American Reich this procedure is called "emergency custody."

Paul Ryan, Who Is He??? - another from inbox
Well, early last Saturday morning we learned that Congressman Paul Ryan, Republican from Wisconsin, is to be Mitt Romney's pick for the next Vice President of The United States.
What are we to think of this selection? He's not a graduate of Columbia University. He's not a graduate of Harvard. He wasn't selected as the President of the Harvard Law Review. He didn't get a special free quota scholarship ride to any prestigious university and, instead, had to work his way through Miami University of Ohio. For God's sake the man drove the Oscar Mayer Wiener Truck one summer and waited tables another!
One morning when Paul Ryan was sixteen years old he went in to wake his father up and found him dead of a heart attack. He didn't write two books about that experience. Instead, he assumed the role of adult at an early age, never having the luxury to pursue youthful drug use and the art of socialist revolution.
Instead, Paul Ryan and his mother took his grandmother, suffering from Alzheimer's, into the household and served as the primary care provider for his grandma. His grandma wasn't the Vice President of the Bank of Hawaii so she could offer nothing in return, except the element of "need".
Once Paul Ryan got his BA in Economics from Miami University of Ohio he was hired as a staff economist in Wisconsin Senator Kastin's office. The job must have not paid well because young Ryan moonlighted as a waiter and fitness trainer. No one offered him a "token honor" position at the University of Chicago and a $200,000 dollar a year salary.
When a still young Paul Ryan returned to Wisconsin to run for Congress he didn't demonize his opponent and dig up dirt to shovel against him. He waited until the standing Congressman vacated the office before seeking the office. In Janesville, Wisconsin they don't have a big political machine to promote you, to criminalize your opponent; instead Paul Ryan had to go door to door and sit at kitchen tables and listen to his future constituents.
After getting elected to Congress Paul Ryan didn't triumphantly march into Washington, buy himself a Georgetown townhouse and proceed over to K Street to rub elbows with lobbyists. He bunked in his Congressional office and used the house gym for showers and a fresh change of clothes.
Paul Ryan then married and took his bride back to Janesville. He lives on the same street he lived on as a kid and shares the neighborhood with eight other members of the Ryan clan. He hunts with the local Janesville hunt club and attends PTA meetings and other civic functions.
For those who can't make those public functions, Paul Ryan bought an old bread truck, converted it into a "mobile constituent office" and drives around to meet with those who need his help and attention.
No, I don't know if we can vote for a guy like this. He doesn't have a regal pedigree; he's Irish for God's sake! No one awarded him a Nobel Peace Prize two months after getting elected. No one threw flowers or got "chills down their leg" as a he took his seat in Congress.
What is most despicable about Paul Ryan is that he has had the nerve to write the House Budget for three years in a row. He's is brazen and heartless in advocating in that budget for a $5 trillion dollar reduction in federal spending over the next ten years! The House passed his budget three years in a row and three years in a row the Democratically controlled Senate has let it die in the upper house, without ever proposing a budget of their own. What is wrong with this guy? If Congress were to cut $5 trillion dollars from the budget where would the President get the money to give $500 million dollars to a bankrupt Solyndra? Or $200 million dollars for bankrupt Energy 1? Or $11 billion dollars to illegal aliens filing INIT, non-resident tax returns to claim $11 billion big ones in child tax credits, even for their children living in Mexico?
I don't know. Paul Ryan seems heartless to me. He keeps wanting to cut government waste, he keeps wanting to put a halt to those big GSA conventions in Vegas and, worse, he keeps trying to make people look at that $16.7 trillion dollar deficit! The guy's no fun at all!
Who wants a numbers cruncher? Who wants someone spoiling the party by showing folks the bill? Nothing will spoil a party quicker than sending the host the bill before the party's over.
Party Hearty folks! At least until November.
A Glass of Wine - From my inbox
To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine.. .
And those who don't and are always
seen with a bottle of water in their hand.
As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.
In a number of carefully controlled trials,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed
More than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
Found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
(or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor)
Because alcohol has to go through a purification process
Of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health.
Therefore, it's better to drink
wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be
full of shit.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable
information: I'm doing it as a public service!
