School Officials Admit Search of Gun-Owning Student’s Truck Was Unconstitutional - Ammoland.com
New Hampshire school officials have formally admitted that they violated former student Jack Harrington’s Fourth Amendment rights when they searched his pickup truck after learning that he lawfully owned a handgun.
The admission resolves Harrington v. Crawford, a federal lawsuit supported by the Second Amendment Foundation. In a stipulated declaratory judgment, Hillsboro-Deering School District Superintendent Jennifer Crawford and Hillsboro-Deering High School Principal James O’Rourke agreed that the April 24, 2025, search of Harrington’s truck and glove box was unconstitutional.
The agreement also states that the search failed to satisfy the lower “reasonable suspicion” standard used for ordinary school searches and that Harrington had committed no illegal or unlawful conduct that justified it.
Most importantly for gun owners, the judgment recognizes that exercising the Second Amendment cannot become the government’s excuse to disregard the Fourth.

Clarence Thomas: The Second Amendment Assumes a Right—It Does Not Grant One - Ammoland.com
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas needed only a few sentences to expose the fundamental error behind most modern gun-control arguments: The right to keep and bear arms does not come from government.
Speaking with Senator Ted Cruz on the Verdict podcast, around minute 29, Thomas explained that the Constitution established the federal government, but it did not create the individual rights government was formed to protect.
“The Second Amendment says the right to bear arms shall not be infringed,” Thomas told Cruz. “It assumes a right. It doesn’t grant a right.”
The exchange was recently highlighted in a video published by Colion Noir. It is a short statement, but it draws a clear line between the American understanding of liberty and the permission-based system demanded by the gun-control lobby.

Phaedra is the fifth studio album by German electronic music group Tangerine Dream. It was recorded during November 1973 at The Manor in Shipton-on-Cherwell, England and released on 20 February 1974 through Virgin Records. This is the first Tangerine Dream album to feature their now classic sequencer-driven sound, which launched the Berlin School genre.[citation needed]
Phaedra was the first album in which many things had to be structured. The reason was that we were using the Moog sequencer (all driving bass notes) for the first time. Just tuning the instrument took several hours each day, because at the time there were no pre-sets or memory banks. We worked each day from 11 o'clock in the morning to 2 o'clock at night. By the 11th day we barely had 6 minutes of music on tape. Technically everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The tape machine broke down, there were repeated mixing console failures and the speakers were damaged because of the unusually low frequencies of the bass notes. After 12 days of this we were completely knackered. Fortunately, after a two-day break in the countryside a new start brought a breakthrough. 'Mysterious Semblance' was recorded on Dec 4th. Pete and Chris were asleep after a long day's recording session so I invited my wife, Monique, into the studio. I called in the studio engineer and recorded it in one take on a double-keyboarded Mellotron while Monique turned the knobs on a phasing device. This piece is on the record exactly as it was recorded that day. And this practice was to continue for the rest of the session.
The title track was originally based on an improvisation recorded in the studio, and unintentionally exhibits one of the limitations of the analog equipment used at the time. As the equipment warmed up, some of the oscillators began to detune (they were highly temperature-sensitive), which was responsible for some of the changes in the music towards the end of the piece.
Both the title track and "Movements of a Visionary" rely on Franke's use of the Moog analog sequencer as a substitute for bass guitar. "Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares" features Froese soloing on a Mellotron which is treated to slowly sweeping filter effects. "Sequent C'" is a short but memorable piece by Peter Baumann on flute, with tape echo.
The sleeve design and cover painting are by Froese.
Highland Park Lawsuit Subpoenas James Reeves, Treats Gun Reviews as ‘Advertising’ - Ammoland.com
A lawsuit attempting to hold Smith & Wesson responsible for the crimes committed during the 2022 Highland Park parade shooting is now reaching beyond the firearm manufacturer and into the gun media.
Firearms reviewer and attorney James Reeves disclosed on X that he was served with a subpoena demanding years of records and analytics concerning Smith & Wesson and reviews he has produced.
The most troubling part for firearm journalists and content creators is how broadly Reeves says the subpoena defines advertising. According to Reeves, the plaintiffs’ definition includes “even unpaid organic social-media content.”
In other words, an independent review of a lawful firearm could be treated as corporate advertising merely because the reviewer received, tested, or discussed the product.
That is a dangerous theory with implications extending well beyond Smith & Wesson or the firearm industry.

It took one word.
During a September 15 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on oversight of the FBI, Sen. Ted Cruz questioned Patel about the government’s use of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System to monitor firearm purchases.
“GOA discovered a secret FBI program called NICS Monitoring, used to track firearm purchases of Americans who were legally eligible to buy a gun but were suspected of a crime. Is that right?” Cruz asked.
“Yes,” Patel replied.

Minnesota Says Carry Rights Stop at the Border, History Says Otherwise - Ammoland.com
Early American lawmakers who restricted concealed carry frequently made an exception for the people Minnesota burdens today: travelers.
That history is now before the U.S. Supreme Court in Johnson v. Jacobson, a challenge to Minnesota’s refusal to recognize valid carry permits issued by Florida and Georgia.
The Second Amendment Foundation filed an amicus brief on September 15, urging the justices to hear the case and reverse an Eighth Circuit decision that allowed Minnesota to force nonresidents through its own licensing process.
SAF was joined by the National Rifle Association, California Rifle & Pistol Association, Second Amendment Law Center, Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus, and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
