I've gotten very tired and exasperated with FB, especially when they keep trying to load super cookies on to my computer which are very hard to remove and tries to copy my login information for other sites and transmit them to a IP Address that resolves to the UK.
Since the NSA isn't supposed to "Spy" on US Citizens, but they "Share" info with GCHQ, I think I know what is going on with FB and their "Targeted" ads, which keep trying to download a super cookie to my computer.
So now you will find me on Minds.com at the following URL: https://www.minds.com/GreyLocke

Why the NSA and British Intelligence tries to hack your Anti-Virus
"The efforts to compromise security software were of particular importance because such software is relied upon to defend against an array of digital threats and is typically more trusted by the operating system than other applications, running with elevated privileges that allow more vectors for surveillance and attack. Spy agencies seem to be engaged in a digital game of cat and mouse with anti-virus software companies; the U.S. and U.K. have aggressively probed for weaknesses in software deployed by the companies, which have themselves exposed sophisticated state-sponsored malware."
How does it feel to know your Government is doing it's best to subvert your computer security? So they can track you on-line, and peer into the contents of your hard drive? And instead of STOPPING those who create Mal-Ware, instead, exploit the very Mal-Ware they have created, to exploit your compromised Security Software.

I wonder why I'm suddenly popular in China?
That is the 4th time they've shown up in my logs in the last 3 days. Same IP Address for all 4 of them too.
Could it have something to do with the cameras I bought off of E-bay? One of which is still giving me fits. It is supposed to be a WiFi enabled Camera, and yet I still cannot get it to connect to my tablet, my computer, or my cell phone. Not even after resetting it to factory defaults twice.
Maybe it something to do with the fact that USPS, CBP, or the NSA, held on to my camera for almost a full week before sending it back on it's way to me?
If so, THANKS!!, GUYS and GALS!!
One of the reasons I GOT this camera was because it is WiFi capable and you messed that up so I can't use like I intended to. Mainly by putting it down range and viewing it's output on my tablet so I can see better, how my shots are.
It took almost a full month to get to me, and according to the USPS site, you guys had it in your grubby little digits, from the time it entered the country until it was finally delivered to my house, for a grand total of 12 days.
I'm just betting, the BoreScope Camera I ordered, which is still "SOMEWHERE" in transit will be delayed as well. Uhh, Guys and Gals, I NEED my stuff to WORK the way it's SUPPOSED TO!! Not, I get it and it doesn't work like advertised which means I have to waste time e-mailing back and forth, then sending stuff back and waiting for it to be replaced/repaired and sent back. Plus paying for the return shipping, which has a few times been almost as much as I PAID for the camera or other item.
Please Guys and Gals, quit messing with my stuff.
If you want to know what I'm doing with my stuff, my E-mail is over there on the right under where it says "Send a Missive" But Hey, you guys probably have my cell number anyway, just send me a Text Message. Heck you can even go to the shooting range with me sometime to see me using the stuff. Please quit messing with my stuff. I can't afford to send the stuff back to get it fixed.
But I still can't figure out why my little corner of the innertubes is getting traffic from China,

My camera finallly showed up
Looking at the packaging, you can tell someone has been in it, and tried to make it look like shipping damage. Sorry, your attempt to make something look like shipping damage looks just like you prised open a corner then tried to make it look like friction or a piece of machinery did it. Plus there were many parts and pieces inside the box in small plastic ziplock bags. When several of those have uneven/stretched holes in them you can tell, that either USPS or USCBP or even NSA were in the box. My camera was in a special case similar to a GoPro waterproof case and again, there is evidence of SOMETHING happening to the camera while it was in the US Governments hands. And things like this only happen to any electronics items I order. It doesn't happen when I order cheap camping gear, or knick knacks, it ONLY happens when I order electronics items and they come from China.
I'll post some photos of the camera and it's accessories later. I don't feel like going into the other room and getting the camera bag out of the closet.
I'll post you the link to the camera I ordered. Plus I also ordered 2 extra batteries and an external charger.
This is the Camera I bought :SJ4000 mini digital Camera 1080P HD Sports 12MP DVR Car as GoPro Black
This is the External Charger and it came with 1 battery:Battery for SJ4000/5000/6000 Sport Camcorder Camera+Charger Case for the Battery
And here is the extra battery I bought: New 3.7V Li-ion Battery 900mAh 3.33Wh for HD1080P Sport Waterproof Camera SJ4000
I also bought 2 32gb SDHC Class 10 Micro SD Cards for this camera, but I bought those from Amazon.com. NEVER ever buy memory cards from China or India. There are ways to take a lower rated and size card and to format it so it appears to be higher sized and rated. Until you try to use it. So I spend the money to buy those from Amazon, that way if they aren't right, I can get them replaced by Amazon.

Why does EVERY Electronic Device I buy
off of E-bay get held up in US Customs/Postal Service?
Last time it was my Android Tablet, that was held in USPS/USCBP for 5 days. It arrived FULLY Charged, and you could SEE that the packaging had been opened and resealed. It also had a Network that resolved to an IP Address in San Diego California stored in it, in addition to the Chinese Manufacturer's own IP Address.
Now WHY? are they holding my WiFi capable camera for SEVEN DAYS!
I called the US Postal Service Tuesday January 27th, trying to find out what is going on. I was told that my camera is in US Customs Control. they then gave me a number that according to the US Customs and Border Patrol, DOES NOT EXIST. I finally called US Custom and Border Patrol in Chicago and explained the situation. The Agent in that office gave me the Direct Landline number to the Customs unit that inspects incoming mail. I called and the Lady Agent I spoke with was extremely helpful and checked her system and told me that "No, my package containing my camera is NOT in the Care, Custody or Control of US Customs", according to THEIR Records the United States Postal Service still hadn't turned it over to Customs to be inspected. I called the Postal Service back and spent over 40 minutes trying to renegotiate their automated phone system that kept telling me that the Tracking Number I entered DID NOT EXIST, I finally got to speak to another Live Human Being. She ran the number and insisted that my package had been turned over to Customs and offered me the SAME non-working number I was given before. I informed her that I had already spoken to the United States Customs and Border Patrol and in particular the Inspection Unit at the Main Chicago U.S. Post Office and I was informed that my package was NOT in their Care, Custody or Control. She quickly found something on her screen and passed me off to someone else.
This Second person I spoke to, is supposedly in "International Shipping" I gave her my tracking number and she told me that US Customs has my package. I explained AGAIN that I talked to the US Customs Unit that is in charge of Inspecting international Packages, and that they DID NOT have my package, containing my camera. Suddenly, this second lady is telling me that "First Class" shipping doesn't give a guaranteed delivery date. Uhhh sorry, I remember mailing a letter from my parents house in St. Louis Missouri and it being delivered in Los Angeles, California 3 days later. She told me that this is International Mail and it doesn't work that way. I informed her I remember mailing a box to my cousin in Scotland on a Monday and it being delivered to him that Saturday.
The various obfuscations finally caused me to lightly lose my temper. I didn't lash out at the lady on the phone, instead I asked for the number to the US Postal Inspectors Office as I wished to file a Complaint.
I was immediately put on hold for almost 3 minutes and when she came back on I was given a number that DOES NOT match the number on the Postal Inspectors own Web Page. I thanked her and hung up.
I then called the number that she gave me, no surprise, IT DIDN'T WORK.
So I called the number on the Postal Inspectors Web Page, and not surprisingly, IT WORKED.
I explained the situation and the Postal Inspector didn't seem to think that there was ANY issue with my package being delayed. Really? When I explained that these delays ONLY happen to items that contain electronics and my other packages which hit the very SAME Post Office just the day before were delivered 3 days AFTER they arrived at that Post Office Port of Entry. And yet a package that contains Electronic items the very next day STILL hasn't left that Post Office. He saw NO PROBLEM wit that. then he told me I should be calling the Postal Service Customer Care number. FINE, what is it?
The number he gave me, surprise surprise worked.
The gentleman I spoke to there listened to my problem and he didn't think that there was any problem.
EXCUSE ME!!! ANY TIME ANY ELECTRONICS ITEM HITS THE PORT IT IS AUTOMATICALLY DELAYED A MINIMUM OF FIVE DAYS!!!
And you people don't SEE any problems with that?
With all the revelations about the NSA tampering with, ooohhh oooohhhh "ELECTRONICS ITEMS", you don't see ANY issue with that?
Finally I'd had ENOUGH!
I got on the web and got the number for my Congressional Representative (Blake Farenthold BTW) and called his office and spoke to one of his staffers explaining the situation. He took a brief description of my problem, but he wouldn't take the Tracking Number. So basically I figure my message went into the "Crazy" file.
I then looked for the number for Ted Cruz, I didn't find it but he does have a Contact form on his Senate page, so I used it. I put in the whole chain of events that had lead me to his page plus the Tracking Number. 6 Minutes later, I got the Automated reply e-mail in my inbox and then NOTHING.
I checked and recheck the Tracking on my Camera constantly. And NOTHING.
This morning, I got up and even before I lit my first cigar, or took my medications, I checked the Tracking Number. NOPE, still hadn't moved. I went about my day, got the PJ Media videos that were in my Blog E-mail accounts inbox posted and ate some rice crispies cereal then took my meds as my back was starting to spasm.
Right before noon, I checked the Tracking Number again.
And FINALLY my Camera had moved.
Yet according to the Tracking page it moved at 4:51 am in the morning. So why wasn't the page saying that when I checked it at 9:40 that morning? Whatever, my Camera is SUPPOSEDLY on it's way I say Supposedly because that screen shot up there? I took it about 3 minutes before I started writing this blogpost. And I just checked it again and it STILL hasn't moved. You would think it would have been shipped out since 4:51 am. No exit scan yet, over 16 hours later.
I just want my Camera that I paid for and I DON'T want it molested by people who couldn't get a better job in private industry.

Hmmm That sounds vaguely like a story I heard a few years back. Where Area 51 was named that way because of how a DOE Map was laid out into various areas. And Area 51 was one sector on the map.

My cell phone just rebooted itself into EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY mode. And the battery went from 78% to 34% in 20 minutes. Hmmmmm NSA quit messing with my phone. I'll try to have one of the cameras ready the next time it does something like this. It does this maybe 2-3 times a day. And it's not just this phone. If I put my SIM card into my old flip phone it will suddenly go into emergency mode also. I'm getting real tired of it personally.

They have a two-fold agenda here. First to hurt oil prices so that US producers will start cutting back production. Second to hurt Russia's economy and undercut Putin. Putin has been getting more involved with certain countries (Iran)and UAE and the House of Saud don't like that.

Germany's Intel Agencies assisting the NSA
"Just over a week ago, the regional German paper Süddeutsche Zeitung and the regional broadcasters NDR and WDR came with a story saying that between 2004 and 2008, the German foreign intelligence service BND had tapped into the Frankfurt internet exchange DE-CIX and shared the intercepted data with the NSA. As not all communications of German citizens could be filtered out, this is considered a violation of the constitution."
How many more projects are we going to learn about going on in secret?
As technology advances, various intelligence agencies are going to look at all their new little toys, and think up ways to use them. Legally or not.
My personal opinin on this, if an agent, agency or whomever violates thee laws of thier own country such as has been done here in the US and now in Germany, that in my opinion is Treason.
And they should be tried for that as such.

New Site added
And it has a very interesting post up.
Document shows that it was not NSA, but FBI that monitored 5 Americans
There are also a bunch of other posts they have up including about the new Secure/Non-Secure phone system that was installed on Air Force One, the NSA in 2002, and a bunch of other things you might want to take a look at.
So, either click on that top link up there or to see the whole thing click on this following link or the link underneath the Tech Blogs section.

More on the NSA and their collection of information
"For more than a year, NSA officials have insisted that although Edward Snowden had access to reports about NSA surveillance, he didn't have access to the actual surveillance intercepts themselves. It turns out they were lying.1 In fact, he provided the Washington Post with a cache of 22,000 intercept reports containing 160,000 individual intercepts. The Post has spent months reviewing these files and estimates that 11 percent of the intercepted accounts belonged to NSA targets and the remaining 89 percent were "incidental" collections from bystanders."
Mike's main site can be NFSW but he has stuff like this. And it just goes to show just how much of our lives have been dissected by the Government through the NSA.
And it needs to S-T-O-P
Unless I and others have done something illegal, the NSA needs to get an ACTUAL Warrant, not a FUSA warrant to surveil me and mine.

Assassination
I knew I wasn't crazy. I've been remembering this interview from many years ago that I read in a Playboy Magazine. And I finally remembered enough about it to tweak my Search Terms to find a copy of it.
"The subject of this interview is an explosives expert who worked for 20 years
designing assassination devices for the CIA while holding various cover jobs
in military, research and development. While still in high school, he was
regularly approached by CIA contacts with requests for poisons, explosives,
guns, silencers and specially designed gadgets for killing or incapacitating
people. He worked his way through a number of employers during this period
and finally, ended up director of research at a large, well known firearms
manufacturer, where he continued to do work for the CIA as well as
implement Projects for the gun company, which in turn, sold its work to the
military.
His career began in the early Fifties. In the late Sixties, he-had two heart
attacks. His absence from work in as many years due to illness finally. forced
him to quit and in 1970 he ,had his last official contact with the CIA. At this
meeting, he said he did not want to do any more work for the agency. For a
number of months, they followed him, thinking that he was running guns to
radicals or showing them how to build terrorist weapons.. They finally left him
alone, as far as he was able to tell.
To establish his credibility, I verified that he did hold the jobs he claims to
have held. In addition to this, I saw extensive documentation, of the type work
he was doing. He also showed me. several devices that he had built for the
CIA, including a modified butane 'cigarette lighter that fired a tiny poisoned
dart capable of Penetrating a heavy coat, He brought out an explosive
.22-caliber bullet, which I tested in the presence of a firearms expert. It did
explode. His activities were also verified by others in the intelligence
community, who are involved in similar fields. And, finally, he was given a
series of lie-detector tests, which indicated that he was telling the truth.
The subject wanted to remain anonymous to protect his family. Chemical and
material names have been deleted in some cases to avoid providing a "cook
book" of weapons and tactics,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: During the Senate select committees investigation of intelligence activities
of the CIA, chairman Frank Church was shown a "poison dart gun" by William
Colby, former CIA director. during the week of September 15, 1975, this was
shown on television and on the front pages of newspapers around the
country. Do you know anything about that gun?
A: I must have seen half a dozen different dart guns at one time or another,
because I was testing either ballistics or methods of applying poisons. The
one in the Church committee was said to be electric. I doubt that very much.
The electric guns I saw used magnetic bullets, but they had to be much
larger.
Q: Do you think the CIA was lying?
A: It wouldn't be the first time."
This was going on in the 50's and 60's. And with more recent revelations of targeted assassinations by our government, how can we be sure they haven't refined their technology and techniques to the point the Perfect Assassination is now possible?
And how can we possibly protect ourselves?

Dear NSA
Would you please quit messing with my cell phone?
I don't know any other explanation for why it suddenly switches to emergency calls only and activates both the Wi-Fi and the Data mode at the same time when they had been shut off.
It's getting a little old having to pull the battery everytime it does that.
So please.
Go bother a terrorist in another country, which is supposed to be your job in the first place.

Our own government treats us
as if we are the Axis Powers during World War II.
A Riddle Wrapped In a Mystery Inside an Enigma
To think that our own Nation should spy on us it's Citizens as if we were the Enemy.
For the Democrat Party, it's quite possible we are. For as we learn more and more about the abuses by the Government under a Democrat President, the more we dislike and distrust the Government.
Funny how that is, isn't it?
The more you distrust us the Citizens, the more we distrust you the Government.

Metadata
Remember the big harum scarum about Metadata? And how the Obama Administration said it wasn't really THAT bad?
"Remember that pesky scandal where it was revealed the NSA collects metadata on U.S. citizens? Remember how many people (from both sides of the aisle) blew it off as nothing we should worry about; that it was a vital part of our national security efforts?
Now we learn from the former head of the NSA that the United States uses metadata to decide who to kill. Not in the United States (yet), but definitely overseas."
That's right...
That Metadata that has been collected is being used to KILL people.
Tell me again why it ISN'T bad for the government to collect it again?

Tech and knowledge issues
First the Tech issue.
I ordered a new 1TB Hard Drive from Dell that was on sale for 45.99. They got my order on the 8th of last month. I was charged for it on the 8th of last month. On the 10th of last month I got an e-mail that my order was "Delayed", and I had to contact them to "Confirm" my order. I did so and was told by their automated phone system that my order would be shipped in "48-72 Hours". On the 17th, I got an e-mail that my new drive had been shipped. I took delivery on the 21st. Well I opened the box and checked it over to be sure they was no damage from shipping and didn't see any, but I DID think it was weird that an ordinary sticker had been used to seal the anti-static bag. Normally the bags are sealed with the manufacturers notice about static electricity and electronics sticker. I didn't think anything about it as I had to remember where I had put my external drive adapter.
Found my external drive adapter the other day but couldn't find it's power cord, so I spent an few extra hours locating it. This morning, I hooked it all up and went to set the drive up so I can clone my main hard drive and then swap this in to replace the main drive and then put the main drive in the fireproof safe.
That was the plan...
Opened up the drive specs under storage in computer management. A 1 TB drive should normally report 1 inactive partition and about 930-936 GB of available space. Not this one.
It showed me I had 1 ACTIVE partition and 1 Inactive partition and only had 902 GB available space. Hmmm curious. Went through my bag of tricks software tools and I could NOT get the "ACTIVE" partition to let me into it. Hmmm even curiouser. Went digging through all of the old shipping boxes I have from stuff I've ordered in the past and found the box of the last hard drive I ordered from Dell. It was shipped from Dallas Texas. This NEW hard drive was shipped from Lebanon Tennessee. Hmmm my brain has an itch now that I cannot scratch.
Rather than spend an inordinate amount of time trying to dig into this drive without specialty software I really don't have the $$ to buy, I said screw it. I deleted the partitions, both of them and put a new partition on the drive and I am now hour 8 into a full format of the drive.
I wonder however, how many people would just pop in a new drive without bothering to check the specs and just let the automated windows helper set the drive up for them, and just WHAT is on the other partition. Especially in light of the various reports of the NSA short stopping electronics during shipping and adding their own software and pieces of extra electronics to them.
I can't say that's what happened, as the last drive I ordered from Dell was over 7 years ago, (Yes I hang on to shipping boxes THAT LONG), so for all I know Dell has a warehouse in Lebanon.
However this is not the first time I've had issues with storage media having something hidden on it. I've had issues several times with USB Thumb drives that had hidden partitions on them. When 32GB thumb drives brand new in the packaging are only reporting 23 GB, and from different manufacturers and suppliers and all of them refuse to let you see what is in the hidden used parts, you kinda think that maybe someone is trying to mess with you.
At first I thought it might have been someone in China trying to install some malware on an unsuspecting consumer. Then the reports from Edward Snowden about the NSA putting spying software on and hardware in electronics came out. So I now have a rather healthy paranoia about ANY of my computers and any new hardware.
So now YOU know to check your hardware as well.
Now onto the knowledge issues.
My youngest daughter #4 Sprog sent me the following text message.
#4 Sprog: Dad what is the overall them and problem of the movie the great gatsby?
(That is her spelling and capitalization exactly as it come over my phone)
My reply: Look it up if i tell you you won't learn it for yourself
#4 Sprog: I cant i don't have internet
(She is at her mothers house about 120 feet away from mine)
My reply: There are other ways of looking things up like encyclopedias of which there are 5 sets of them up here just for that purpose
No response to that yet and it's been about 40 minutes. Not to mention that besides the encyclopedia's, there are 5 computers tied into the home network, android tablets, dictionaries, thesauruses, a literally HUNDREDS of other books all related to having a decent reference library that doesn't require electricity to use. Unless you need a light to read by and I have oil and kerosene lanterns in addition to battery lanterns and LED lights the whole plethora.
UGH! Kids these days.

Even Paranoids have enemies
"Someone might be watching you through your laptop's webcam – without even activating the warning light. Reports say the FBI has had this capability for several years, and researchers at John's Hopkins were able to demonstrate how to covertly spy via webcams in MacBooks."
I've been accused of being paranoid. Those people who called me that pointedly ignore every news story I send them about Edward Snowden's revelations.
They totally ignore every other story I send them about the NSA, FBI, CIA, DEA, and ATF Abuses.
And yet they still call me paranoid.
I call them oblivious and clueless.

On our Privacy and the NSA
This is extremely troubling. When a part of the .GOV takes on more authority than it is granted. This is called "Overreach", coupled with the Militarization of Police agencies nationwide, the outlook looks grim.
We don't need the .GOV looking through our electronic communications, tracking our daily on-line lives in addition to tracking our cellphones, GPS's and vehicles. And yet they are doing it.
Without Warrants, without Probable Cause and without any other reason than they have the ability to do so.
