NSSF: Giffords Spreads Lies to Push Antigun Agenda - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, who heads up the gun control group bearing her name, is spinning tales and vilifying the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) to advance President Joe Biden’s shared gun grab visions.
Giffords penned an op-ed in The Philadelphia Inquirer calling for nationwide universal background checks on all firearm transfers. She claims this is what America needs but couldn’t be more wrong. America doesn’t need more background checks. America needs better background checks. That’s exactly what NSSF has been fighting for since 2013.
NSSF’s FixNICS campaign is focused on improving the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) so the background check system works as it was intended. The firearm industry spearheaded this initiative and changed laws in 16 states and in Congress to ensure all disqualifying adjudicated mental health and criminal records are submitted to the FBI. Since NSSF started this effort, submission of disqualifying records to the FBI increased 270 percent, from about 1.7 million in 2012 to over 6.14 million in 2021.
Pennsylvania, where Giffords is stumping for gun control, is one of the most improved states because of the firearm industry’s efforts, not Giffords’ gun control. In 2012, Pennsylvania submitted just one disqualifying mental health record to the FBI. The firearm industry changed that. Today, 944,974 records are submitted.
Still, Giffords demands Congress act to push for universal background checks without clarifying that the murderer, who took six innocent lives and wounded Giffords, passed the very background check she demands. She overlooks that the background checks her attacker passed didn’t account for his noted drug abuse, his violent outbursts, or declining state of mental health. Better laws were needed to stop the likes of her attacker, not more laws that would infringe on the rights of those who obey the law.

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- We’ve warned the NRA Board.
We’ve talked with past presidents and high-level insiders. We’ve advised, pleaded, and begged them to take action to prove that the Association’s governing body is in charge of the Association, that Directors understand their fiduciary duty is to the membership and not to serve as lackeys to Wayne LaPierre and his accomplices, co-conspirators, apologists, and enablers.
We have repeatedly detailed and documented the exorbitant salaries and contractor payments, the self-dealing, cronyism, fraud, kickbacks, and abuse that has been ongoing at the top of the Association for years. We’ve consulted with legal and financial experts, reporting their analysis and advice, and we’ve urged members to lobby their NRA Directors, just as they would their members of Congress or local government, demanding accountability and transparency.
We warned that, unless the Board stepped up and took significant actions to root out any hint of corruption or malfeasance, the New York Attorney General and the courts would use the lack of action as proof that the Association is corrupt to the core, and undeserving of any sort of second chance or opportunity to reorganize.

Full List of American War Weapons Lost In Afghanistan - Ammoland.com
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- No one has done more to strengthen the ability of the Taliban in their mission to perpetrate evil on the World than Joe Biden. While desperately trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment, Democrats are simultaneously handing over $83 billion worth of training and equipment to the enemy in a botched retreat from Afghanistan.
Aside from the fact that the Biden Administration pulled our military out while leaving unarmed and defenseless American Citizens behind, the enormous list of weapons and true military hardware that was gift-wrapped and handed to the Taliban is of great concern. The list of military equipment left behind in Afghanistan as a result of this haphazard military evacuation is extensive and includes the following:
American Aircraft, Equipment & Armored Vehicles
- 2,000 Armored Vehicles Including Humvees and MRAPs
- 75,989 Total Vehicles: FMTV, M35, Ford Rangers, Ford F350, Ford Vans, Toyota Pickups, Armored Security Vehicles etc.
- 45 UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopters
- 50 MD530G Scout Attack Helicopters
- ScanEagle Military Drones
- 30 Military Version Cessnas
- 4 C-130s
- 29 Brazilian made A-29 Super Tucano Ground Attack Aircraft
- Heavy Equipment, Including Bull Dozers, Backhoes, Dump Trucks, Excavators
=208+ Aircraft Total
At least 600,000+ Small arms M16, M249 SAWs, M24 Sniper Systems, 50 Calibers, 1,394 M203 Grenade Launchers, M134 Mini Gun, 20mm Gatling Guns and Ammunition
- 61,000 M203 Rounds
- 20,040 Grenades
- Howitzers
- Mortars +1,000’s of Rounds

- 2,520 Bombs
- Administration Encrypted Cell Phones and Laptops ALL operational
- Pallets with Millions of Dollars in US Currency
- Millions of Rounds of Ammunition including but not limited to 20,150,600 rounds of 7.62mm, 9,000,000 rounds of 50.caliber
- Large Stockpile of Plate Carriers and Body Armor
- US Military HIIDE, for Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment Biometrics
This is the information you are not supposed to have. According to Forbes, the Biden Administration is not helping transparency by “hiding key audits on Afghan military equipment.”
A GAO spokesman said “The State Department requested we temporarily remove and review reports on Afghanistan to protect recipients of US assistance that may be identified through our reports and thus subject to retribution.” However, the reports included no recipient information.
Never in American history have we seen such military failure.
The idea that American Citizens, left behind in Afghanistan, would be left defenseless as Taliban fighters go door to door seeking them out while using the weapons this Administration left behind, leads any logical thinking person to believe that there were ulterior motives. This is a mistake that a group of third-graders playing backyard tag wouldn’t be so foolish to make. The top priority is to get your teammates to safety, but apparently, the Biden Administration had a different plan.

Refusing DOD Covid-19 Mandate Can Turn Military Personnel into ‘Prohibited Persons’ - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “To defend this Nation, we need a healthy and ready force,” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced Tuesday. “After careful consultation with medical experts and military leadership, and with the support of the President, I have determined that mandatory vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is necessary to protect the Force and defend the American people.”
His bottom line?
“I therefore direct the Secretaries of the Military Departments to immediately begin full vaccination of all members of the Armed Forces under DoD authority on active duty or in the Ready Reserve, including the National Guard, who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.”
We’ve all read accounts, some credible, some more like clickbait, of reasons to doubt the safety of getting the shots. We’ve seen the government’s position change, we’ve seen demands for mandates, travel passes, and even, among those less inclined to mask their true natures, internment camps, among other concerns.
We also know that, as much as some special interests try to portray those who doubt government assurances as “deniers” and worse, objections are hardly limited to those they smear as “rightwing extremists.” As just one example, the Chicago Police Union has announced its unequivocal opposition to mandated injections.

NRA ‘Restructuring’ and Billing Documents Show Need for Honest Stewardship - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “The [New York State] Attorney General has filed an amended complaint, 187 pages long,” the NRA in Danger blog reported Tuesday. “The original complaint was brutal, this is beyond that. Staff and some directors are looting the corporation for millions or tens of millions.”
The New York complaint confirms AG Letitia James is out to destroy the National Rifle Association by taking no prisoners and salting the earth. While others have suggested ways around her demands for total NRA annihilation, only one effort has moved beyond the talking stage and filed to be recognized in the legal decision-making, led by members who have filed an intervenor motion.
Regular AmmoLand News readers may recall the idea for members to try and stop the dissolution of the Association via an intervenor lawsuit first reported in August of last year. In June we reported the intervenor motion had been filed in the case with Life Members Frank Tait and Mario Aguirre taking point on behalf of the membership, and earlier this month this column relayed information about the related reply memorandum seeking the judge to grant the intervention, a decision anticipated in early September.
The exhibits embedded below have been extracted from the trial exhibits submitted at Chapter 11 (bankruptcy) motion to dismiss hearing. These are all public documents, legally downloaded from the federal PACER court record system and provided to me by a source close to the case, along with some relevant observations, opinions, and speculations.
The exhibit includes the January 15 “resolution” to authorize Chapter 11 reorganization and retain counsel, citing as authority the Board’s January 7 vote to give Wayne LaPierre the power to “exercise corporate authority … including … to reorganize or restructure the affairs of the Association.”

Due to concern over the safety of our NRA family and community, we regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel the 2021 Annual Meeting & Exhibits. This cancellation applies to all events and meetings that were scheduled in Houston. We will provide future notification regarding a rescheduled date for the annual Meeting of Members.
We make this difficult decision after analyzing relevant data regarding COVID-19 in Harris County, Texas. We also consulted with medical professionals, local officials, major sponsors & exhibitors, and many NRA members before arriving at this decision. The NRA Annual Meeting welcomes tens of thousands of people, and involves many events, meetings, and social gatherings. Among the highlights of our annual meeting are acres of exhibit space featuring the latest and greatest firearms, the display of countless accessories, and the offering of adventures and group gatherings that many travel hundreds, and some even thousands, of miles to experience. We realize that it would prove difficult, if not impossible, to offer the full guest experience that our NRA members deserve.
The NRA’s top priority is ensuring the health and well-being of our members, staff, sponsors, and supporters. We are mindful that NRA Annual Meeting patrons will return home to family, friends and co-workers from all over the country, so any impacts from the virus could have broader implications. Those are among the reasons why we decided to cancel our 2021 event.
We would like to thank our members, attendees, exhibitors, and staff for their understanding and support. We are grateful for the many contributions of the George R. Brown Convention Center, state and local officials, community organizers, area hotels, and countless event venues across Houston. We receive enormous support from Houston and the State of Texas – and we hope to return to the Bayou City for a full annual meeting experience.
The NRA looks forward to a Celebration of Freedom in Louisville in May 2022. In the meantime, we will support many other NRA local events and smaller gatherings – in a manner that is protective of our members and celebrates our Second Amendment freedom.
We wish continued health and safety to our entire NRA family.
______________________________________________________________
Although the NRA Show itself–the exhibit hall, the concerts, the events and seminars–can be cancelled at any time, the NRA Annual Meeting of Members must be held yearly according to the organization’s bylaws. Where and how the Second Amendment giant intends to do this remains to be seen at this time, but we’ll keep you posted!
Comment on the ATF's Proposed "Stabilizing Brace" Rule - Firearms Policy Coalition
Friend --
I want to start off by giving those of you who took the time to submit your comment to the ATF on their proposed "receiver" rule a shout-out. By the comment deadline over 291k comments were submitted on that proposed rule, breaking an all-time record. Of course, some of those comments were submitted by lazy anti-gun groups who had their supporters use copy and paste for their comments, but overall our showing was the strongest yet! We now have another proposed ATF rule with an upcoming deadline to focus on and oppose.
We have reached out before regarding the ATF's proposed rule, Rule 2021R-08, on "stabilizing braces". In a nutshell, they want to redefine the word "rifle" by essentially appending "oh, and braced pistols too...sometimes" to the definition. This is a blatant attempt by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to rewrite the law in an arbitrary and exceptionally aggressive manner. I am happy to report that as of this morning there have already been over 136,000 comments submitted on this topic so far. With the September 8th deadline for comment submission quickly approaching we need to kick our activism into high gear.
To help crank our numbers up on the proposed "stabilizing braces" rule, simply click one of the red "Submit Comment to ATF on Stabilizing Braces" buttons in this email. You will be taken directly to the Federal Register where you will then submit your comment. There are only two weeks remaining to comment, so the sooner comments are filed, the better!

What's In the Proposed $3.5 Trillion Dollar Budget Resolution? Possibly, Gun Control - Firearms Policy Coalition
Friend --
Most of the bills we reach out to you about are pretty direct. Universal background check bills have been introduced that clearly state the bills' intentions. Likewise, "assault weapon" bans have been pretty forward with their goals. Today's alert, however, surrounds a very vague allocation of $107 billion for "community violence intervention" (CVI), along with other proposals, tucked away in the $3.5 trillion budget resolution (S. Con. Res. 14). But what exactly is CVI?
The answer is nobody knows. And I think that's the point. The intentionally ambiguous language in the budget resolution leads me to believe that the $107 billion allocation of funds, that would in part be directed towards "community violence intervention", could be used for whatever elected officials deem a threat to the community. How much do you want to wager those anti-gun local officials won't utilize this money for their own political agendas?
Due to the potential for these CVI funds to be used and abused by anti-gun localities to target gun ownership rather than crime, you should contact your members of Congress and demand they oppose S. Con. Res 14 AND any other appropriations items that violate citizens' Second Amendment rights. To do this just click one of the red "No Taxpayer Money for Gun Control" buttons in this email. You will then be able to directly contact your specific legislators by sending them a message against this budget resolution. You will be provided a prewritten email to edit and personalize prior to sending it off.
Congress is debating this budget resolution as I type this email, so please reach out to your elected officials ASAP to make an impact TODAY. With our growing ranks and influence, our voices will be heard! Thank you in advance for taking action and for your continued support of FPC.

Florida “Red Flag” Abuse – Florida Man’s Rights Virtually Disappear - Ammoland.com
Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- President Biden and his Attorney General, Merrick Garland, have championed “red flag” laws that authorize courts to temporarily prohibit individuals from possessing or accessing guns based on unproven and uncorroborated allegations by family members, coworkers, law enforcement officers or others. A key feature of these laws is an initial order that is imposed “ex parte” – without notice to the affected person, where he or she has no opportunity to attend or contest the allegations.
The model legislation prepared by the Biden Administration authorizes such an initial order, together with a concurrently-issued warrant “authorizing a law enforcement agency to search the person of the respondent and any such place for firearms and to seize any firearm.” The gun ban and confiscation remain in place until a second court hearing (for a final order) occurs, which may be weeks later. Only with respect to this hearing does the person have the right to due process – to advance notice of the hearing, and to appear, challenge the basis for the order, and present their own evidence.

No Vaccination, No Guns: a New Secret Plan For Gun Confiscation ~ LISTEN - Ammoland.com
New Jersey – -(AmmoLand.com)- In this episode Gun Lawyer Evan Nappen puts the two pieces together and explains their plan. Both parts are being separately promoted by Obama apparatchiks, Rahm Emanuel & Juliette Kayyem
- 1) HR 4980 has been filed in the Congress to put all unvaccinated persons on the No Fly List.
- 2) The No Fly, No Buy, Gun Control law has been bouncing around since 2018 and has Bipartisan support.
That’s how they plan to do it.

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The president of a Florida-based gun company released a recorded statement Friday saying his company will not be complying with a cease-and-desist order issued by the ATF in late July.
According to the cease-and-desist letter issued on July 26, the ATF alleged that Rare Breed Triggers’s FRT-15 trigger was actually a machine gun, and the agency ordered Rare Breed Triggers to halt production and sales, and create a plan to address the triggers that had already been sold and distributed.
In the video, Lawrence DeMonico, president of Rare Breed Triggers, says his company will not be complying with the order by the federal agency and lays out his case for why they are choosing to civilly disobey the order.
According to DeMonico, contrary to the ATF’s allegations, DeMonico says the fact of the matter is that the FRT-15 cannot fire more than one round by a single function of the trigger. That’s important to note, because that is probably the most pertinent portion of the definition of a machine gun as defined by the Gun Control Act and National Firearms Act, DeMonico says.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –-(Ammoland.com)- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Chief Counsel Joel Roessner is retiring on September 30. 2021.
The Chief Counsel is the most powerful lawyer at the ATF and determines the ATF’s direction on all legal matters. The position is one of the most powerful not only in the ATF for the Justice Department as a whole. The Chief Counsel will play a significant part in crafting new rules and regulations surrounding pistol stabilizing devices and unfinished frames and receivers. Mr. Roessner played a role in reclassifying bump stocks as machine guns.
With the stepping down of Mr. Roessner at the end of September, it left many to wonder who would fill his shoes. Would the new Chief Counsel uphold the Constitution, or would they continue as business as usual? Due to an AmmoLand exclusive leak from our sources within the ATF, we now know the answer, and it is probably not good for gun owners.
Deputy Chief Counsel Pamela J. Hicks will be stepping up into the role of ATF Chief Counsel. Ms. Hicks took over the position of the ATF’s Deputy Chief Counsel in October of 2019. She has worked for various agencies within the Federal government for over 20 years. Ms. Hicks originally worked the ATF’s Arson Division and in the field as the Division Counsel for the Los Angeles Field Division before leaving the Bureau. After leaving the ATF, she worked for the DOJ’s Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section Criminal Division. She also worked for the Department of the Treasury as the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary (Law Enforcement).

Oh, the Irony: Taliban Sports American M4s While Confiscating Firearms from Civilians - Gunsamerica
The Taliban are clearly enjoying the fruits of their labor after routing out the Afghan military and commandeering the country’s capital in Kabul.
Two reports from Reuters indicate that many Taliban fighters have swapped their AK-47s for American-made M4s and M16s while the group’s leadership has begun confiscating weapons from civilians in the city.
“We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians,” a Taliban leader told Reuters.
The Associated Press reported today that billions of dollars of U.S.-made military equipment has fallen into the hands of the Taliban since the terrorist group began its assault. The haul included ammunition, aircraft, and small arms, including M4s and M16s.
Images from Afghanistan show some Taliban fighters toting the fully automatic versions of the AR-15 rifle. While it’s fair to debate the tactical advantage that these rifles will provide over their Russian counterparts, the optics are not good for the United States.

In today’s “paper-thin excuse to make life hard for gun owners” news …
The Biden administration just announced that it intends to ban imported Russian ammunition and firearms on Friday. If you’re not familiar with how the news cycle works, here’s a tip: The information that they want buried goes out on Friday night. The idea is that only a few people really watch the news over the weekend, so by Monday it will have been largely forgotten. But here at Guns & Gadgets Daily, we want to make sure that Friday afternoon news is still there on Monday morning. (You’re welcome, Joe!)
What is the paper-thin excuse?
According to the Biden Administration, the upcoming ban on imported Russian guns and ammunition is a reprisal for the poisoning of a Russian dissident back in August 2020. We’re not saying that it’s okay for Russia to go around poisoning dissidents, but we do have a sneaking suspicion that other countries that regularly engage in political assassination will not be subject to any such sanctions.
Here’s what we know:
The ban goes into effect on September 7 of this year, in just about three weeks. Once that happens, the businesses that import Russian ammunition will only be able to sell the stock they have now, and won’t be able to bring in any more. Essentially, what this ruling means is that inexpensive steel-cased ammunition from the Eastern Bloc will be a thing of the past very soon. The ban only lasts 12 months, but experts agree that it is extremely unlikely that it will be lifted.

Honolulu Concedes Defeat, Another Win For Beck - Ammoland.com
Honolulu, Hawaii – -(AmmoLand.com)- On August 4, 2021 attorney Alan Beck filed a lawsuit against the city of Honolulu regarding the city’s history of ignoring state law. The case Roa, et al v. City and County of Honolulu involved plaintiffs Peter Roa and Randall Frankliln. In the initial complaint filed against Honolulu, the following statements were made concerning state law versus practices in Honolulu:
(3) Disorderly conduct is a petty misdemeanor if it is the defendant’s intention to cause substantial harm or serious inconvenience, or if the defendant persists in disorderly conduct after reasonable warning or request to desist. Otherwise disorderly conduct is a violation.
….
An offense defined by this Code or by any other statute of this State constitutes a violation if it is so designated in this Code or in the law defining the offense or if no other sentence than a fine, or fine and forfeiture or other civil penalty, is authorized upon conviction or if it is defined by a statute other than this Code which provides that the offense shall not constitute a crime. A violation does not constitute a crime, and conviction of a violation shall not give rise to any civil disability based on conviction of a criminal offense.
Honolulu denied Roa and Franklin the ability to own firearms based on prior violations which were non-violent in nature. The statute in the state of Hawaii clearly spells out that such non-violent events do not preclude an individual from exercising their Second Amendment right. From the original complaint:
Hawaii state law does not support criminalizing the possession of firearms by Plaintiffs because neither of their disorderly conduct convictions are for crimes of violence. Thus, categorically criminalizing the possession of firearms by those convicted of H.R.S. § 711-1101(1)(a) is an independent City policy. Defendants’ policy of criminalizing the possession of firearms by Plaintiffs violates their Second Amendment rights. Alternatively, if the City may properly criminalize the ownership, possession and acquisition of firearms based on a conviction for a violation of HRS § 711-1101(1)(a) pursuant to H.R.S. §134-7, then H.R.S. §134-7 is unconstitutional as applied to Plaintiffs.
On August 16th, a fully executed stipulation and order was finalized, delivering a huge victory to attorney Alan Beck and his clients. The stipulation serves as an agreement between the city, plaintiffs, and citizens at large that they will no longer engage in the practice of violating the Second Amendment when it comes to issuance of firearm related paperwork to those who have previously committed non-violent violations. This victory is a large step to normalizing and standardizing the eligibility of a citizen to possess firearms with the Federal standard.
Click the link to read the whole article: Honolulu Concedes DefeatBelow The Radar: Local Public Health And Safety Protection Act of 2021 - Ammoland.com
Chicago/Washington D.C. – -(AmmoLand.com)- Second Amendment supporters can know one thing for certain: Many times, when “public health” is thrown around by anti-Second Amendment extremists, you can bet the target is actually our Second Amendment rights. One case in point is a recently introduced piece of legislation.
HR 4888, also known as the Local Public Health And Safety Protection Act of 2021, sponsored by Representative Robin Kelly (D-IL), seeks to bribe states to repeal preemption laws. These laws help by preventing a patchwork of laws across states, meaning that someone exercising their Second Amendment rights doesn’t become a criminal just by crossing a county line.
If you think you’ve seen Kelly’s name before – you’re right. This Congresswoman’s bills have been discussed here before. Whether it’s trying to pass off attacking our rights as urban progress, her multiple efforts to legally authorize bureaucratic gun bans that only the Violence Policy Center would love, or other schemes that target our rights, whether disguised as opposing “gun trafficking” or adding people to the prohibited persons list, Kelly has consistently attacked Americans who wish to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
If gun control laws really worked, then Chicago, with all its onerous provisions, would be the safest place in the country.
The crime stats, though, tell a very different story. And according to NRA-ILA’s summary of the laws in Illinois, that state also has strict laws and there is precious little preemption regarding firearms. Illinois is not exactly friendly towards the Second Amendment.

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Two anti-hunting groups are making a move to kill hunting. They’re looking to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and Department of the Interior (DOI) to publish a rule that would eliminate transporting harvested wild animals and most birds across state lines.
It is the most serious threat to hunting in the United States since Dan Ashe, former USFWS director, attempted to ban the use of traditional ammunition on federal lands. That attempt was rolled back by former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. This attempt must be turned back by every hunter in America.
The Center for Biological Diversity and the Natural Resources Defense Council are co-opting COVID-19 fears to push their radical anti-hunting agenda in a petition to the USFWS and DOI. They are ignoring reports of China’s potential complicity on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they are faulting hunters as potential pathogen pathways and attempting to end hunting even in neighboring states.

FPC Tells ATF to Withdraw “Unconstitutional” Firearm Rule - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced the filing of the organization’s official comment (below) in opposition to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) Proposed Rule 2021R-05, “Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver’ and Identification of Firearms.” FPC’s opposition brief can be found at FPCLegal.org.
“From the very beginning of this assault on gun owners, FPC has aggressively engaged its members, supporters, and the general public to participate in the rulemaking process. Today, FPC Law filed a comment in opposition to the ATF’s unlawful and unconstitutional Proposed Rule, which clearly shows why the government must not proceed with this outrageous executive abuse,” said FPC’s Senior Director of Legal Operations, Adam Kraut. “Should ATF refuse to abandon this assault on gun owners and the law, FPC stands ready and willing to take further legal action to defend the rights of our members, supporters, and the People. If President Biden wants a fight, he’ll get one from us.”
FPC’s arguments begin by highlighting how the Proposed Rule exceeds the statutes and authority delegated to the ATF, effectively expanding criminal law far beyond that enacted by Congress. Moreover, the comment explains, if “eight words of the [Gun Control Act]—‘the frame or receiver of any such weapon’—cannot be understood without cross-references to other areas of the law and a range of its own vague sub-definitions, then the statute itself would be void for vagueness.”

Under the Guise of Punishing Russia, Biden Instead Hurts U.S Gun Owners Banning Ammo - Ammoland.com
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Gun Owners of America is aware of the Biden State Department’s Notice [of new sanctions] that “[n]ew and pending permit applications for the permanent importation of firearms and ammunition manufactured or located in Russia will be subject to a policy of denial.”
We recognize the devastating implications these sanctions would have on individual gun owners amidst a national ammunition shortage. We are currently exploring administrative, congressional, and legal avenues to respond to these new sanctions.
Once again, the Biden Administrations’ actions are misplaced. Ending imports by licensed importers will not stop drug dealers, murderers, and other assorted street criminals.
It will, however, harm legitimate US businesses while driving up the cost of other ammunition due to more buyers chasing a smaller supply. It is clear to us that the intention is not to harm Russia but rather to hinder the acquisition of firearms and ammunition by American citizens

Leak Shows Employee Revolt In ATF’s Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch - Ammoland.com
MARTINSBURG, WV –-(Ammoland.com)- An anonymous source within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch (FTISB) reports turmoil within the department over a promotion.
The head of the FTISB, Michael Curtis, is retiring from the Bureau, and Daniel Hoffman has been selected as his replacement by Chief of Firearms Ammunition Technology Division (FATD), Eral Griffith. Hoffman has been a Firearms Examination Officer (FEO) for the past four years. Before coming to the FTISB, Hoffman did not have any experience within the firearms industry. This choice led many others inside FTISB to wonder how he got the nod over other more qualified candidates. The choice has caused an uproar within the department.
Curtis and Hoffman have been two of the ATF’s crusaders against pistol-stabilizing devices. They have long held the opinion that the devices are a workaround for gun owners to legally violate the National Firearms Act (NFA) restrictions on short-barreled rifles (SBRs). Both have long argued that certain pistol braces were designed to be shouldering devices.

Biden Administration Bans Importation of Russian Guns and Ammo - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- On 20 August 2021, the U.S. Department of State released a fact sheet announcing Russian firearms and ammunition importation will be banned for a minimum of 12 months starting 7 September 2021. From state.gov:
New sanctions imposed today under the CBW Act include:
- Restrictions on the permanent imports of certain Russian firearms. New and pending permit applications for the permanent importation of firearms and ammunition manufactured or located in Russia will be subject to a policy of denial.
The ban is listed as a sanction pursuant to the Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991, over the supposed Russian use of the “Novichok” chemical agent to poison Aleksey Navainy.
Navainy was poisoned in August of 2020. He has been critical of the Putin regime in Russia. This is the second round of sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States over the Aleksey Navainy incident. The first round of sanctions did not ban the importation of Russian ammunition or firearms.
The Department of State announcement says “New and pending permit applications” … “will be subject to a policy of denial”. The implication is applications that have already been approved will not be revoked.

The NYT and ADL Lies Exposed By The FBI - Gab.com
"We need to ascertain right here, right now, whether this specific platform was knowingly facilitating an attack on our nation's capital, literally a terror act against the seat of our government," said the ADL's Greenblatt, who noted that other platforms should also be investigated over the insurrection attempt but he says special attention needs to be trained on Gab." Source
The ADL also went as far as demanding the DOJ investigate both myself individually and Gab as a whole for "intentionally aided or abetted individuals who carried out the January 6 attack on the nation's Capitol."
Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of the largest social network on the internet that happens to have a specific feature for organizing and planning events, also deflected the blame on Gab and Parler. "Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has sought to deflect blame, noting the role of smaller, right-leaning services such as Parler and Gab."
It has been widely reported, even by mainstream media outlets, that if the event was planned and organized anywhere it was most certainly done on her platform, Facebook.
Today the FBI is exposing the mountain of lies built up by Frenkel, Greenblatt, and Sandberg (I can't help noticing a trend here!)
"The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.
"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages." Source
The defamatory lies of the New York Times, the ADL, and Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg had dire consequences for Parler, which was immediately removed from App Stores and hosting providers and has never fully recovered despite caving to Apple's demands for censorship.
These defamatory lies also impacted Gab's public image. The lie is still featured prominently on Gab's Wikipedia page and is falsely cited by other reporters in stories about Gab to this day.
We demand a full and immediate retraction of this story by the New York Times and thank God for shining the light of truth on this fake news story.

Suit Seeks to Compel ATF to Answer FOIA Request in Hunter Biden Gun Case - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- Attorney Stephen Stamboulieh filed a complaint Wednesday on my behalf “for injunctive and other appropriate relief and seeking the disclosure and release of agency records” from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) related to its investigation into Hunter Biden and a handgun reportedly belonging to him.
The complaint became necessary after ATF refused to provide records responsive to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request citing Biden’s “substantial privacy interests.” The Department of Justice subsequently turned down my appeal of that decision.
To recap the story so far, Biden’s handgun was reportedly taken from his vehicle by his brother’s widow with whom he was having an affair and she threw it away in the trash outside a Delaware supermarket. This column then asked if the president’s son had broken the law by denying abuse of controlled substances on the Firearm Transaction Record, ATF Form 4473, noting that lying on the form is a federal felony. That report was followed up with two separate FOIA requests being filed a few weeks later, to both ATF and the Secret Service, which had also been reported to be investigating the Biden gun incident.
The Secret Service request has been resolved, for now, after receiving an affidavit signed under penalty of perjury that the agency could find no responsive records. Still to be determined: If they weren’t officially involved, who were the personnel identified as Secret Service agents in numerous reports, including in a text message retrieved from Hunter Biden’s laptop computer claiming “[T]he police the FBI [and] the secret service came on the scene”?

Taliban Disarming Civilians; Should Be Lesson on 2nd Amendment - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Alarming reports are emerging from Afghanistan that Taliban insurgents now controlling the capital city of Kabul are “collecting weapons from civilians” should underscore why so many Americans fight to protect their Second Amendment rights.
Reuters broke the news that an unidentified Taliban “official” justified the gun sweep with this explanation: “We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians.”
It is not reassuring that the report came at the same time The Sun was reporting, “The Taliban’s reign of terror has begun as fighters are reportedly going door-to-door with a kill list and women face torture & execution under brutal new rules.”
The story quoted Radio Free Europe journalist Sayed Mustafa Kazemi, who reportedly tweeted, “Taliban started door to door search looking for govt officials, former police & security forces members & those who worked for foreign countries NGOs or infrastructures in Afghanistan…At least 3 journalists’ houses were searched in the last hour. Kabul is now becoming deadly. This is a game changer for us all.”
In a video posted on YouTube by Crux, armed Taliban fighters can be seen detaining motorists and searching him for weapons.

Rare Breed FRT-15 Criminal Examination Released - Ammoland.com
ORLANDO, FL –-(Ammoland.com)- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) filed the criminal examination of the Rare Breed FRT-15 trigger in District Court today.
The Rare Breed FRT-15 is a forced reset trigger. The shooter must pull the trigger with each shot. Because of this, the company claims a firearm with the FRT-15 trigger is still a semiautomatic firearm. The drop-in trigger forces the trigger to be reset. The force reset dramatically speeds up the rate of fire of a gun. Rare Breed claims its trigger is similar to the 3MRC TAC Con trigger, which has an ATF approval letter. Still, the company does not have an approval letter for the FRT-15 from the ATF’s Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division (FATD).
The company has been selling the trigger by the thousands for months. The ATF took noticed and acquired the trigger to examine because the agency was concerned it was a machine gun. If a part turns a firearm into a machine gun, the ATF considers the item to be a machine gun itself. Lighting Links and Drop-In Auto Sears (DIAS) must be serialized because of the ATF’s determination that they are machine guns. The ATF ruled that bump stocks are machine guns, although Gun Owners of America (GOA) has successfully pushed back against this determination.
The Firearms Enforcement Officer (FEO) wields enormous power over the firearms industry. Special Agent Michael Nuttal sent the Rare Breed FRT-15 to FATD’s Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch (FTISB) to be examined in early June of this year. FEO David Smith was assigned the case. FTISB is the branch within FATD that determines if a gun is a machine gun or semiautomatic and issues letters to companies.

Rare Breed Files Sues ATF in Defense of FRT-15 Trigger System: It’s Not a ‘Machinegun’ - Gunsamerica
Rare Breed Triggers, makers of the FRT-15 trigger system, is challenging the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) following the ATF’s recent FRT-15 classification. According to the ATF’s Technology Division, the FRT-15 is a machine gun.
Rare Breed filed a lawsuit against the ATF seeking an injunction to prevent the agency from enforcing their determination as well as to block any potential civil or criminal prosecution over the possession and/or sale of the FRT-15. They argue that the FRT-15 is a semi-automatic trigger, and the ATF is wrong in its determination.
The FRT-15 works mostly like a normal AR-style cassette-type trigger pack. It’s a drop-in assembly with one extra function: after a round is fired and the bolt cycles, it cocks the hammer and at the same time, resets the trigger.
That’s how the FRT-15 gives shooters the ability to repeatedly pull the trigger quickly, similar to how practice with a light trigger can also be used to shoot rapid strings of fire. According to the law, a machine gun isn’t a gun that can be fired quickly, it’s a gun that fires more than one shot per pull of the trigger.
Since the user still has to pull the trigger for each shot with the FRT-15, Rare Breed says that the ATF is not applying the law as it is written when they classified the trigger system as a machine gun last July. Additionally, the trigger includes a locking bar to prevent the user from being able to pull the trigger until the firearm has completely cycled.

ATF "Receiver" Rule: 24 Hours Left to Comment - Firearms Policy Coalition
Friend --
TOMORROW is the final day that you will be able to submit your comment to the ATF on their proposed "receiver" rule. This is our last call to add your name to the thousands of others submitted by gun rights advocates across this country. All comments must be submitted by 11:59PM EST to be considered. FPC could not be prouder of the way our supporters and members have turned out on this issue thus far. This wouldn't be possible without you, so please know that we appreciate all the outreach efforts that take place and that it is making a difference.
As a reminder, the ATF's proposed rule, ATF 2021R-05, would broadly redefine "firearm" and "frame or receiver" to expand the number and types of items that ATF would consider regulated firearms. This would be a disaster for the firearms industry and individual gun owners who enjoy building their own firearms. It is also an unconstitutional attempt to legislate via regulation. Adding insult to injury, the proposed rule seems almost intentionally vague and unclear, making it a nightmare to determine what would be legal or not.
To make sure your comment is reviewed just click one of the red "Submit ATF Receiver Rule Comment" buttons in this email. Clicking the button will take you directly to the comment page. As this is the last opportunity to comment on this particular ATF proposed rule, I encourage you to share this email with like-minded friends, family, and co-workers. With one massive final push, we can ensure that the overwhelming majority of the comments submitted are against the ATF's proposed "receiver" rule.
Again, we at the Firearms Policy Coalition are beyond grateful for the proactive efforts of our supporters and members. In fact, a U.S. Representative just reached out the other day to notify us that there is a lot of buzz about our growing advocacy efforts in D.C. If you have yet to join FPC's Grassroots Army, visit JoinFPC.org today! We are growing in number and in doing so are growing in influence. Let's keep it up by running up our comment submissions on the ATF's proposed "receiver" rule by the August 19th deadline!
Yours in Liberty,
