FATD Response Arrives Years Late With Product Modifications, Were They Being Set Up by ATF? - Ammoland.com
U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “ATF FATD [Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division] answered my industry submission after four-and-one-half years,” firearms designer and Historic Arms LLC President Len Savage notes in a May 17 email to friends and colleagues disparagingly characterized by United States Attorneys as “a tangled web of connections between a small cadre of firearms activists.”
“Please see the attached response [embeded below] and please note my submission letter (also attached). Also attached are emails with FATD over this submission,” Savage advised, including documents embedded below. He followed up with some questions carrying serious implications.[Len Savage sent ATF parts of an unassembled firearm, ATF returned a completed gun.]
“Did ATF manufacture an SBR [short-barreled rifle]?” he asked. “Did they properly mark their manufactured SBR?”
“I have yet to receive the firearm back,” Savage added.
So it took “four-and-a-half years” to get an answer on a routine request that it’s their job to provide…? To highlight the absurdity of that, Savage noted in his correspondence to ATF that “Your staff has taken so long to respond though the return postage has gone up twice since I sent it to you… My stamps will not be enough for USPS priority mail any longer.”
The firearm parts Savage submitted back in October of 2018 is “based on the AR-15 family of firearms. The upper receiver has a barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO and has a length of 10.5 inches. The lower receiver has an SBA3 Stabilizing Brace installed. The submitted firearm has never had a butt stock installed. As such, it cannot be a rifle since it is NOT DESIGNED to be fired from the shoulder [emphasis in original].”

Vermont BANS The Well Regulated Militia, Necessary To The Security Of A Free State - Ammoland.com
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Vermont Governor Phil Scott recently signed legislation banning “paramilitary” or Militia activity.
The law prohibits a person from teaching, training, or demonstrating to anyone else the use, application, or making of a firearm, explosive, or incendiary device capable of causing injury or death that will be used in or in furtherance of a civil disorder. It also bans a person from assembling with others for such training, instruction, or practice. Violators could face up to five years in prison, a $50,000 fine, or both.
The problem with this new law’s definition is that it is based on future intent. Who will be determining intent?
Will Vermont residents be subjected to what members of law enforcement think they might do with their training in the future? This law seems to be based on hypothetical actions that haven’t happened yet. How can anyone determine if something “will be used in or in furtherance of a civil disorder?” Remember, this law doesn’t criminalize militia activity, but rather the training that may or may not be used during militia activity. Besides that, who will determine the definition of “civil disorder?”

New Jersey Politicians Enact Largest Gun Ban in U.S. History - Ammoland.com
When Governor Murphy and the New Jersey Democrats rushed a flurry of gun laws through the legislature last June of 2022, one of the laws rammed through was under the guise of banning guns with no serial numbers.
This law banned millions of rifles, shotguns, handguns, hunting guns, target shooting guns, military surplus guns, and virtually ALL muzzleloaders, black powder guns, antique guns, air guns and BB guns.
There are NO exceptions and there is NO grandfathering. This was the largest gun ban ever passed in the history of the United States.
The law bans ALL firearms with a “…firearm frame or firearm receiver …which is not imprinted with a serial number registered with a federally licensed manufacturer…”
The term “firearm frame or firearm receiver” means the part of a firearm that provides housing for the internal components.
For ANY firearm to be legal in New Jersey, it must now meet two criteria established by this law:
1) the firearm must be imprinted with a serial number; and
2) the serial number must be registered with a federally licensed manufacturer.
Under these requirements, the following types of firearms are now banned in New Jersey with no grandfathering or exceptions:
1) All pre-1968 rifles, shotguns, and handguns without serial numbers. Warning: Prior to 1968, there was no federal law requiring guns to have serial numbers.
2) All modern rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers with serial numbers, but are not registered with a federally licensed manufacturer. This would include most modern imported rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers, plus foreign firearms, and military surplus firearms from countries around the world, if these companies were not federally licensed manufacturers (e.g., Lugers, P-38s, Mausers, Arisakas, Enfields, SKSs, Carcanos, Webleys, Norincos, Mosins, etc.).
3) All BB guns without serial numbers. New Jersey includes BB Guns/Air Guns in its legal definition of a “firearm.”
4) All BB guns with serial numbers but are not registered with a federally licensed manufacturer. This would include most BB guns made, because there is no federal firearms manufacturing license required to make BB guns (e.g., Daisy, Crossman, Gamo, etc.).
5) All muzzleloading/black powder firearms without serial numbers. New Jersey includes black powder guns in its legal definition of “firearm.”
6) All muzzleloading/black powder firearms with serial numbers but are not registered with a federally licensed manufacturer. This would include most muzzleloading/black powder firearms made and/or imported because there is no federal firearms manufacturing license required to make or import muzzleloading/black powder firearms.
5) All antique firearms without serial numbers. Antique firearms are “firearms” under New Jersey law.6) All antique firearms with serial numbers but are not registered with a federally licensed manufacturer. This would include most antique firearms because a federal firearms manufacturing license did not even exist at the time the antique firearms were manufactured.
The penalties for violating the new law are severe and draconian, as with most NJ gun laws:

FPC Wins Injunction Against ATF’s Pistol Brace Ban for Plaintiffs, But NOT For You - Ammoland.com
WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), Christopher Lewis (Maxim Defense Industries, LLC), and William T Mock won an injunction for the plaintiffs against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) new pistol brace rule.
The decision was handed down by a Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals three-judge panel this morning. The panel consisted of two Donald Trump appointees and one George W. Bush appointee. The panel is waiting to hear arguments in Mock v. Garland, where the plaintiffs are taking on the ATF’s new pistol brace rule that would reclassify millions of pistols equipped with pistol stabilizing devices as short-barreled rifles (SBRs) under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). The change would mean millions of Americans could become felons on June 1, 2023, when the window closes to register, destroy, modify, or turn in their firearm equipped with a pistol brace to authorities.
The injunction will protect the status quo until the appeals court can hear the case that has been granted expedited status. By granting the injunction, the Court seems to indicate that they believe that the Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits of the case because that is one of the hurdles that must be overcome to receive an injunction from the Court.
The case claims that the new rule violates the Administrative Procedures Act because the ATF has no authority to make such a regulation. The Plaintiffs claim that the ATF is sidestepping Congress and making a de facto law at the behest of the White House for political gain.

Band-Maid in Houston 5-14-2023
You can hear Saaiki mess up the verse in Influencer, but she like a champ just smiles and continues on
Several of the songs are out of order and you can tell the videos have had some slight editing. I think there were 2 different cameras used. Not all of the songs are posted on their account, so there may be others, and I will post those when/if they become available.
And here is where Miku threw me a pick and smiled at me.
Recording Exposes Gun-Control Advocates Plotting Mayhem at Special Session on Guns - Ammoland.com
Tennesse – On May 16, 2023, WTN 99.7 FM’s Brian Wilson delved into the revelations from a secretly recorded training session held by gun control advocates in preparation for the upcoming special session in Tennessee.
This special session, called by Governor Bill Lee, aims to pass more red-flag laws and gun control measures within the state.
Wilson reviews snippets from the approximately two-hour training session, which shed light on the tactics and strategies employed by these freedom-hating advocates and their affiliation with Planned Parenthood.
During the training, one notable aspect that emerged was the discussion surrounding the presence of armed anti-gun activists among the advocates’ ranks!?
The trainers revealed that they had established groups in Nashville composed of individuals whom they “trust.” The recording reveals these individuals are not only “trained” but also “armed,” serving as a security force for the gun banners during protests and other events.
The irony of anti-gun activists relying on armed supporters for their protection raises significant questions about their underlying motives and intentions.
Beyond the matter of armed security, the training session also focused on a tactic called “bird-dogging.” This technique involves harassing legislators and potentially anyone who supports the Second Amendment, following them relentlessly to extract damaging soundbites or statements. The advocates consider this tactic a means of holding lawmakers accountable, but patriots know that it can easily veer into harassment and intimidation.
The involvement of Planned Parenthood activists in this training session adds another sick twist. Planned Parenthood, an organization predominantly associated with promoting abortions of live babies, now seems to have a vested interest in the gun control debate. We could speculate about the connection between reproductive rights and gun control, as both promote death… The relationship raises questions about the motivations behind their participation in the training session.

Band-Maid Sunday May 14th 2023 - Show Report
The gentleman who recorded this was up in the balcony and had a MUCH better view of the whole stage. However I was able to both see and be seen by the Ladies.
This was the opening act. It was the first time Band-Maid had used an opening act, as they normally perform what is called a "One Man" where they are the only act on the ticket. I'll be honest, Shadow Cliq sort of confuses me. They sound like they have potential, but they LOOK more flash, less substance and polish. If they can rein in the theatricality, and concentrate more on the music, I think I would enjoy them a lot more. As it was, the performance was distracting me from the music. The only 2 songs where that wasn't the case was their cover of Aerials and their last song, which I just had a brain fart and can't remember the title to.
The Ladies switched up the intro music for this tour. I like it, but I think I prefer the intro from last year's tour. It had much more energy and punch to it.
This was the FIRST time Dilemma had been played in the US. It had never been played outside of Japan before, is what the folks on the Discord Server who keep the setlists are saying.
As they played this the crowd energy seemed to get even greater. Saiki missed part of the verse, but we in the audience didn't care. And I was maybe 10 feet away from MISA during her bass solo.
Akane's drums in this song were like getting punched in the chest. But it felt good. You can also see where Saiki almost lost her balance, and stumbled just a bit on the left side of the stage. She was standing directly in front of me for most of that verse and she smiled at everyone in the audience while she sang.
Again, Akane's drums literally pound your chest, but it feels very good.
I was hoping they would throw in some of the extended intros or breakdowns, but they kept mostly to the studio release. Many of us in the Discord and even in the line outside waiting for the doors to open speculated, that because they had an opening act, instead of the 2+ hours their concerts nomrally run, they would have to pare back on a few things to stay under their alloted time.
220 Beats Per Minute of Progressive Thrash Met from the Ladies.
My throat started to hurt singing HEY...HEY... for this one along with my shoulder getting sore from throwing up my arm to the beat.
Even though there Saiki isn't singing, there is still a vocal line. However, it's Kanami playing it with her guitar. And it is beautiful.
He evidently didn't film the MC part before Secret My Lips, I wish he had, because it was very funny.
How is this for contrast? Compare it to Black Hole, or From Now On. This is just one of the MANY things I love about Band-Maid's music. They cover multiple different genres of music, incorporating it into their own unique sound.
MISA's bass and Akane's kick drum, there is a reason us fans call them the "Thunder Twins"
Really really listen to the lyrics. Choose me is a sort of messed up love song, where you are being asked to Choose a sort of hmmm well some people say BDSM relationship, others say other things. You listen and you decide.
One of their softer songs, with many different interpretations as well. But I really love it.
This song was written during their last US tour last year. It was written as a love letter to the fans. When Band-Maid came back to tour the US last year, they were very, very nervous and apprehensive as it had been almost 3 years since they had last toured the US. And they weren't sure if they fans would come to the shows, nor how their performances would be recieved. It was during their Seattle show, when the reaction from the fans almost knocked the Ladies over, with their enthusiasm and obvious devotion to the Ladies that settled their nerves. It was while listening to the audience from back stage at their Los Angeles show, that Kanami started to write this song. They then went on to perform it live at their January 9th Tokyo Garden Theater concert, and very few eyes were dry in the audience. Sitting in my chair, watching them perform this, listening to the lyrics, my eyes were very blurry as well. And Miku evidently got a new guitar, as that isn't her standard Zemaitis acoustic guitar she normally plays. There is something in the sound hole, her usualy guitar has an open sound hole.
He didn't record the full Omajinai Time, I wish he had, but I'll take what I can get. My voice was about gone at the end however. And even now, my throat is still a little sore.
The opening of this song still makes me jump, it being so sudden. But I'll keep DAN DAN DI DI DAN DAN my way. And You is performed for the first time in the US as well.
And if I hadn't been in a wheel chiar I would have been Jumping when Saiki said JUMP!
Another tear jerker song, with LOTS of us singing along. Saiki and Miku have said this is the song they want to close their Tour Ending concert in Yokohama Japan with. And I think it is very fitting.
I hope you enjoyed my off the cuff show report, and the videos. If you haven't listened to Band-Maid, please give them a try. I and many other feel they are currently the best LIVE Hard Rock Band touring currently. That is not to say, they are the WORLDS BEST, no what we mean is that as a LIVE Hard Rock band, Band-Maid is currently the best one that is actively touring. If they do what other bands have done and become a strictly studio band, that may change. But as a live band, there are very few who are as good as these 5 talented and humble Ladies.

Exclusive: FOIA Evidence Has Brady, Everytown, & Giffords Targeting ATF’s Relationship With The Gun Industry - Ammoland.com
SPRINGFIELD, Virginia — A new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) supplied to AmmoLand News by Gun Owners of America (GOA) shows more evidence of anti-gun groups weaponizing the FOIA process against the firearms industry.
Pro-gun groups like GOA and pro-freedom publications like AmmoLand News have used FOIA requests to keep government organizations like the ATF and FBI in check. By exposing these organizations’ inner workings and abuses, we have affected change and helped Congress call the ATF and FBI to the carpet for their misdeeds.
In past articles, AmmoLand News has reviewed the FOIA request of anti-gun groups to determine how these groups use FOIA requests to their advantage. Studying past FOIA requests and looking into the Brady Organization’s continuing legal education (CLE) classes, I have come to the conclusion that Brady is most likely using FOIA results to try to find ways around the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).
The PLCAA protects American gun companies from frivolous lawsuits.
There are exceptions to the PLCAA for things like defective products, breach of contract, criminal misconduct, and other actions, such as selling a gun they knew would be used in a crime. Proximate cause is another way to get around the PLCAA. Proximate cause refers to a primary cause of an incident that sets everything into motion. Anti-gun groups have used FOIA results to void PCLAA protections.
Now a new FOIA request shows anti-gun groups are still weaponizing the FOIA process but are also targeting other organizations and the ATF for working with the industry.
Brady United, Everytown for Gun Safety, and Giffords filed FOIA requests. In addition to the anti-gun organizations filing FOIA requests, the anti-gun publication The Trace also requested information from the ATF through the FOIA process. Much like the last batch of FOIA requests, the groups target federal firearms licensees (FFLs) for ATF inspection violations. The groups first filed FOIA requests to determine what FFLs have been inspected by the ATF Industry Operations Inspectors (IOI) over the past three years. Then the groups requested information on inspection results, violations, and penalties. These include gun shops in multiple states and around cities like Uvalde, TX.
