ATF Lied to Convict Sailor Now Serving 20 Years in Prison for Selling Legal Gun Parts - Ammoland.com
Patrick “Tate” Adamiak never sold a single real firearm—not one—even though he sold thousands of dollars per month of military gear and gun parts legally on his former website.
Adamiak was one of Gun Broker’s top 500 dealers, until the ATF decided to target him personally and lie under oath about the facts of his case. Now, unless someone quickly rights this unconstitutional wrong, Adamiak will be held in federal prison until 2042.
Adamiak, clearly, is the type of American most people admire.
“I am extremely patriotic. My whole life has been that way,” he told the Second Amendment Foundation by phone from a federal prison in New Jersey. “I am still proud to be American, proud of our flag and proud to be in this country. I have always had a strong desire to succeed.”
Adamiak enlisted in the Navy when he was 17, and eventually became an E-6 Master-at-Arms. He has a bachelor’s degree and was working on a master’s until his arrest. He was on track for an officer’s commission within Naval Special Warfare.
“I was pursuing becoming a SEAL officer,” he said. “I went to California for the first phase. A few months after that I was arrested, after a decade of working my ass off.”

Michigan Passes Law to Mandate Destruction of Valuable Assets - Ammoland.com
On January 22, 2025, Democratic Governor Whitmer of Michigan signed HB No. 6145 into law as part of a package of bills. HB No. 6145 mandates the state destroy valuable assets as an ideological statement. The bill requires all parts of firearms that come into possession of the Michigan State Police to be destroyed instead of being sold and the money used for the public good. From enrolled House Bill No. 6145:
Sec. 14. ( 1) Subject to sections 5g and 14a, all pistols, weapons, or devices carried or possessed contrary to this act are declared forfeited to this state, and must be turned over to the director of the department of state police or the director’s designated representative, for disposal under this section.
(2) The director of the department of state police shall dispose of firearms under this section by destroying them. The director shall ensure that all parts of a firearm disposed of under this section are destroyed.
Control of the House flipped from Democratic control to Republican control on November 5, 2024. On December 12, 2024, House Bill No. 6145 was introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives. The bill was passed with partisan votes in the lame-duck session in the House. The new office holders would not take office until January 1, 2025. The Senate passed the bill on December 20, 2024. Governor Whitmer signed HB No. 6145 into law on January 22, 2025. The law will go into effect on April 2, 2025.

WA Outrage: HB 1504 Would Block Gun Ownership Without Liability Insurance - Ammoland.com
Already alarmed by several restrictive gun control bills, Washington state gun owners are now outraged over the introduction of House Bill 1504, a measure which would prohibit not just the purchase, but the possession of a firearm unless that gun is “Insured under a firearm liability policy or covered by a firearm liability bond.”
It is an idea that has been proposed elsewhere around the country. According to an article in the South Carolina Law Review, “Until recently, no mandate had been enacted. In 2022, San Jose, California, and New Jersey passed laws requiring gun owners to carry liability insurance. But are insurance mandates likely to affect either the incidence of gun violence or the economic burden borne by the government or the victim? And are they likely to escape the courts unscathed?”
Second Amendment activists reacted on the Washington 2025 Legislative Action Group’s Facebook page with a mix of anger and contempt, coupled with vows of resistance if/when this proposal becomes law.

Tom Petty's most famous performance of Breakdown.
Tom Petty once said in an interview, that he just had a brain fart when he went up to sing and realized he had forgotten the words to his own song. He paused and gestured towards the audience as if to ask them to wait a moment. When they simply took up and started singing where he couldn't remember. Hence his famous, "gonna put me outta job". But that gave him enough time for his brain to reset and remember the lyrics.

Outrageous: Judge VanDyke Calls Out 9th Circuit’s Devious Maneuvers Against 2nd Amendment - Ammoland.com
In a remarkable dissent that should echo through the halls of American jurisprudence, Judge Lawrence VanDyke of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals called out what many see as a tactical maneuver to undermine Second Amendment rights. The recent case, Teeter v. Lopez, which initially celebrated a win for Second Amendment advocates, ended in a devious twist that deserves a closer look.
The Butterfly Knife Ban and the Ninth Circuit’s Antics
The case originated from Hawaii’s ban on butterfly knives, which was challenged as unconstitutional under the Second Amendment. A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit initially agreed, marking a significant victory for the right to keep and bear arms.
However, the full court’s decision to reexamine the case “en banc” (a term used when an entire appellate court hears a case) effectively erased the panel’s pro-Second Amendment decision.
Judge VanDyke’s dissent exposes a concerning pattern within the Ninth Circuit: strategically avoiding solid precedents that favor the Second Amendment. By vacating the 3-judge panel’s decision upon taking it en banc, the court not only prevented it from being cited as precedent but also set the stage for potential legal backpedaling by the state of Hawaii.
