ATF Changes Policy On NICS “Pre-Crime” Monitoring - Ammoland.com
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has changed its policy on monitoring the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
AmmoLand News first reported the ATF using a NICS monitoring system in 2021 after learning about the system through an inside source. The ATF would use NICS to monitor Americans buying guns. Data in NICS is supposed to be deleted within 24 hours, but the ATF requested that all data be saved for 30, 60, 90, or 180 days. The targets being monitored were not being charged with any crime. The ATF was tracking people who they felt “might” commit a crime in the future or associated with the “wrong” people.
The monitoring outraged many in the gun community who felt that the ATF and FBI were creating a “pre-crime” program. Gun Owners of America (GOA) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to show the use of the system. It turned out that the system was in widespread use and not only for those who “might” commit a federal crime. The ATF was monitoring people who might break California state law by purchasing a long gun that wasn’t legal within the Golden State.

Gabbard Declassifies Documents Filled With Gun Control - Ammoland.com
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has declassified the Biden Administration’s Strategic Implementation Plan for Countering Domestic Terrorism. Uncovered in the documents is the Democrats’ plan for gun control.
The 15-page report called on the federal government to stop the proliferation of so-called “ghost guns.” The Biden administration targeted privately manufactured firearms (PMF) as a significant problem. Shortly after taking office, President Joe Biden issued an executive order (EO) instructing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to take action on unserialized frames. The ATF issued a new rule banning the sale or transfer of unfinished frames without serial numbers, colloquially known as 80% firearm frames.

Anti-Gun Republican Sides with Democrats, Doubles Down on Historical Ignorance - Ammoland.com
“Florida state Sen. Ileana Garcia (R) joined with Democrats three weeks before the Florida State University (FSU) shooting and rejected legislation that would have allowed students to be armed for self-defense,” Breitbart reported Thursday. “Garcia crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats, killing SB 814 and eliminating the opportunity for college and university students to be armed for self-defense.”
It’s not the first time she’s done that. In 2023, she was the lone Republican defecting to the Democrats to vote against permitless carry. Opposition to that, of course, is based on prejudice and the completely unfounded presumption that such laws mean criminals will take advantage of being able to “legally carry”

Declassified Document: Biden-Harris Administration Targeted Gun Owners & 2A Rights Under “Domestic Terrorism” Pretext - Ammoland.com
On April 16, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard made good on a promise to expose the ways in which the Biden administration had weaponized the federal government against its political adversaries by releasing the Biden-era “Strategic Implementation Plan for Countering Domestic Terrorism” (SIP). The document offers a chilling look at how the federal government sought to curtail Americans’ Second Amendment rights under the dubious guise of combatting “domestic terrorism.”
According to the opening paragraph of the document, “This Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) provides direction and guidance for implementation of the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism” and “actual implementation of the SIP should be approached in adherence to the principles which seek to ensure that US. Government efforts to address [domestic terrorism] remain consistent with the rule of law and American values.”
Apparently, the Biden administration’s idea of “the rule of law and American values” didn’t include the Bill of Rights. The document endorsed diminishing the Second Amendment rights of all Americans to target so-called “domestic terrorists.”

I saw this film as a kid - The 80s Film That Scared 100 Million Americans In A Single Television Night! - Past America
And it terrified the hell out of me. I am posting it below. Please take the time to watch it. I will add some additional thoughts below it.
You are a young american kid, living in an area of the country with a LOT of military and military/industrial facilities. I'm talk about St. Louis, Missouri. My family lived close to McDonnell-Douglas and the US Army Ammunition plant. Scott Air Force base was not too far down the road across the river. With various other things in and around the St. Louis area, I grew up in what would be considered a MAJOR target, in the event of a nuclear attack, by the Soviet Union.
As I was growing up, there were several times of heightened "Concern" when my school would have sudden "Tornado" drills. In JANUARY. Normal tornado season in the midwest was late April to early October. NOT January. NOT December. Usually they would occur in June, July or August. I remember when there was an accidental launch of a Nike Missile in the 70's that had all of the "Tornado" sirens going off and people rushing to their basements. Yes we had Nike Missiles surround the St. Louis area. If you don't know what a Nike Missile is, click the following link: Nike Hercules.
So I grew up living under the CONSTANT fear of nuclear war. And it wasn't just me. MILLIONS of American's did. Our parents grew up during World War II and the Korean War, we grew up during Vietnam War. We had television, and live atrocities being beamed directly into our living rooms by the media. I remember as a kid, I think I was 4 or 5 years old, watching the news as they showed bodies burned beyond all recognition by napalm, dropped by a US jet in I think late 1972 early 1973. Going to school, like I said we had "Tornado" drills. We knew what they really were, they were NOT for "Tornado's".
But for many of us, up until the Soviet Union Collapsed in 1991, we were under the constant real threat of possible nuclear annihilation. And we didn't have the support systems that kids have today. We are Generation X, the generation that were told to stop crying or we would be given a reason to cry. We were to be seen and not heard. And usually they didn't even want to see us, unless it was to make sure we weren't doing something that would inconvenience or embarrass our parents.
