They always were optimistic, after all if you thought that no matter what you were going to die, you'd just give up.
So the Government put together these training films to give you hope that not onlly could you survive, our Nation could survive and retaliate.
Thinking of it that way, could you blame them for trying to be so optimistic?

actually, three was a good chance that many people would survive the bombing and resultant fallout. Fallout burn out quickly.
Now the chemical poisons left behind after the bombing.....
