BAND-MAID / DOMINATION (Official Live Video)
BAND-MAID / Manners, BLACK HOLE (Official Live Video)
This one was recorded on my birthday last year. I think that's appropriate. The lead guitarist who wrote the music, for the second song, Black Hole, she asked the drummer, how many beats per minute could she play. The response was 180, she was told, well here, this one is 220.
"Moratorium" by BandMaid
Band Maid is what happens when you forget to turn off Auto Play on YouTube. Which I forgot to do one day. I had been ignoring this Japanese Girl band who dressed up like maids, because I figured they were like Baby Metal. A manufactured group that didn't even play their own instruments or write their own music. After hearing their song "FREEDOM", and then ONSET, I was hooked.

Chivalry
"This week, an engineer in his 50s just stood there in the aisle, his
hands clasped, as I played Olympic weight-lifting with my suitcase right
in front of him. Just stood there, looking intently at the sticky
carpet. Probably afraid to chip a nail or something.
Has the women's liberation movement really scared the bejesus out of men this much?
When did it become chivalrous to steadfastly look away and not bother to help?"
Let me tell you a story. I once went out with a woman on a blind date. She wanted to meet me there at the restaurant rather than me picking her up. That was fine. I got to the restaurant early and found she was already there. So we made small talk while we waited for our table as our reservation wasn't for 30 minutes. I offered to buy her a drink from the bar, she acceded. I got her a drink and myself a Diet Coke as I rarely drink and NEVER away from home unless I am sure I don't have to drive. We finally got seated, and continued to make small talk, ordered dinner and proceeded to have what I thought was a nice evening together. The check came, I paid it, she was all smiles. I offered to walk her to her car. She acceded. Until I tried to open the door to the restaurant to allow her to exit before me.
Then like a light switch she turned toward me and went off on me accusing me of being a neanderthal who thought women couldn't take care of themselves and I was a misogynistic, sexist, chauvinist.
I literally stood there with my mouth open while she went off on me standing at the restaurant door, my hand on the handle.
I now understand what the issue is.
I think.
Ladies....
You want a man to be Chivalrous, when YOU want to be pampered, or want help with something or you don't want to do something. You only want that courtesy on YOUR Terms.
I'm sorry.
My chivalry isn't just some switch that can be turned on or off to suit your whims.
Either you accept my manners as I know them or don't expect anything of me.
And that is what they are. Proper manners.
I have a saying I tell to ladies, who I still to this day open doors for, or let go in front of me at the store.
"I was raised to be a gentleman, I just don't always act like it."
So don't expect me nor many other men to stand there idly while you have your little conniption fit because we don't do what you feel we should do.
You created this morass of ambiguity. Now deal with it.
Ladies I know, Ladies older than me, I will ALWAYS go out of my to open a door or show them courtesy.
Older ladies at the store I don't know, I show courtesy to.
Other women, notice I didn't say "Ladies" because until you have proven to me you are acceptable of proper manners, you are just a woman, I will ignore.
Ladies on the other hand, I will bust my back to assist and show courtesy to. And so will most properly mannered men. Because we HAVE manners. Because we try our very hardest to BE Gentlemen.
The problem is, you have to let us be those Gentlemen.

What many Atheists don't want to acknowledge.
"I have heard this “you can’t mix religion and science” argument so many times, and so many times the atheist gets away with making such a silly and irrational claim. A guy actually told me today that “Christians have always hated science.” What a bizarre and stupid thing to say; easily refuted, if only we take the time and endure the frustration. Modern science, despite the incoherent ramblings of historically illiterate fools, wouldn’t exist without religion.
Christianity hasn’t stifled science. Christianity has been its driving force and, for hundreds of years, virtually its only significant contributor. Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Pascal, Descartes, Newton, Kelvin, Mendel, Boyle — all devout Christians. You want to remove your science from my religion? Fine. But we’re keeping these dudes. You can have Richard Dawkins and his tales of “mild pedophilia.” Enjoy."
I know several Atheists, who are right now slamming Phil Robertson for speaking his mind and beliefs, and saying that "Christians want to go back to the stone age"
A couple of them have actually gotten in my face when before eating, I take a moment to say a brief prayer inside my own head. Not out loud, but quietly in my own head. And they got bent out of shape.
I call Atheists like that "Militants" And this is just my personal opinion, but to me, they are terrorists.
They intentionally go out of their way to provoke some type of confrontation with people who dare to show any type of religious behavior. They constantly denigrate the beliefs and faiths of others. And they do it in a way which is purposely insulting and degrading.
And yet if I or other try to speak out about how they treat us, they gang up on us.
I'm just trying to say my piece, but it's kind of hard when you have some barely out of his teens young man and his girlfriend yelling and screaming in my face, that somehow I am trying to force my beliefs on them.
They had their say. When do I get mine? Without being shouted down, insulted, and in 2 cases spit on.
Going back to Phil Robertson, everyone is screaming and shouting and making demands. All he is trying to do is to make himself heard over the noise. He is stating his beliefs. And for that the Militants want to take away his right to even speak.
I'm sorry but according to the Militants, the cure for so called "Hate" speech is more speech. But only if they decide who speaks and what is spoken.
Phil Robertson didn't say anything hateful. He quoted the Bible and stated what he believed. His belief and personal opinion. And the Militants are trying to lynch him in the court of public opinion.
Granted in the Past Mr. Robertson has said things which are untrue and biased in the past. But that was the past. Does he have those same beliefs now? Isn't he allowed to form new opinions? To modify his beliefs?
Not according to the Militants.
We have a problem here in America. We have too many Militants, who have been getting their way by throwing their tantrums and holding their breaths.
Maybe we need to call their bluff. Maybe we need to stand back up to them and shout them down for a change?
Maybe it's time we told them to sit down and act like they have some manners for a change, instead of spoiled bratty children.

Chivalry - Thanks to Insty for posting this
"I’m okay with that. I’m also okay with being treated like a lady, and acting like a lady by graciously receiving any chivalry that comes my way. It makes me feel worth the extra thought and attention of another human being. When a man holds the elevator door, or gives up a spot in line at the grocery store when it’s 5 o’clock and I have my kids with me, or says, "Excuse me, ma’am," after an accidental bump, I don’t feel weak and invaluable. If anything, it makes me feel powerful as a woman that I would deserve that little bit of extra respect simply because of my gender."
The original story she refers to is linked and excerpted below
"Chivalrous behavior is benevolent because it flatters women and leads to their preferential treatment. But it is sexist because it relies on the "gendered premise" that women are weak and in need of protection while men are strong. "Benevolent sexism," Kathleen Connelly and Martin Heesacker of the University of Florida write in the study, "is an ideology that perpetuates gender inequality." They advocate interventions to reduce its prevalence, even though, they found, chivalry is associated with greater life satisfaction and the sense that the world is fair, well-ordered, and a good place."
Give them both a read.
As I always say to ladies as I open a door or step to the side to allow them to go ahead of me either through a door or in a checkout line.
"I was raised to be a Gentleman, I just don't always act like it."
What that means is simple. Treat me with respect and I will treat you with respect. Disrespect me, and I will probably treat you with contempt or ignore your existence entirely.
