From the Inbox - This manifesto was found in 1919 by allied troops in Germany

This manifesto was found in 1919 by allied troops in Germany

Over the weekend, my family went hiking in Beaver, UT. Beaver is a small town of about 3,000 people. We ate at one of the local diners and I picked up their newspaper called The Beaver County Journal. Inside, there was a letter to the editor about the coming Communist takeover in America. The author wrote about the 10 Rules of a Communist revolution that were supposedly found in 1919 in Germany by the allied forces. Take a look and see how many of them are currently playing out…

1. Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial. Destroy their ruggedness.

2. Get control of all means of publicity.

3. Get people's minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books, and other trivialities.

4. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.

5. Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule, and obloquy.

6. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.

7. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit and produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.

8. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders, and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward such disorders.

9. By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues, honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, and ruggedness.

10. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view to confiscating them and leaving the populace helpless.

Well, what do you think? Pretty scary, right? Notice that two times they mention the word "ruggedness." Soft and weak people are obviously easier to conquer than tough people with awesome guns like this. And so are people who don't have faith in God. Remember, some of our most important duties are to defend truth, defend God, defend freedom and defend the family. I believe it was Albert Einstein who said… "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything." With inauguration day being tomorrow, it will be up to you and me to share our voices and not cower over the next 4 years. And, of course, it is up to us to continually prepare to be self-reliant, because you and I know it will be an "interesting" 4 years. (If I used foul language, I would change the word "interesting" to something else.)

Stay safe,

From the Inbox - interesting read --- I sent this to the blog in SEPTEMBER 2020 BEFORE the Election. It just FINALLY showed up

So you tell me, WHY it takes 3 months for a message to be sent from my Gmail account to my Blogger account.... Now on the the e-mail _________________________________________________________________________ I am a registered Democrat, and I found this interesting. This is an open letter to all Democrats from a Democrat. I did not write this, but it needs to be shared... I just have a few questions for you....Let me start with, I already know you don't like President Trump...that's a given, SO let's move on from that... How about the division of America.... Do you really blame Trump for that? How about when NONE of the DEMOCRATS showed up for his inauguration? Don't you think that started the division? He hadn't even been president yet, and EXCEPT for Clinton and Obama, not one democrat showed up....Is that when Trump divided America? Can you imagine if the REPUBLICANS didn't show up for Obama's inauguration because they lost??? Can you even start to imagine what would have happened? How about when 19 minutes after Trump was inaugurated, the Washington Post declared the IMPEACHMENT CAMPAIGN has STARTED? Was that when Trump divided America? How about when Nancy Pelosi ripped up Trump's state of the union right in front of the world, showing complete disrespect for the President of the United States? Did that bring the country together and is THAT when Trump divided America? How about when America had to endure, 3 years and over 30 million dollars spent on trying to PROVE that Trump only won because of RUSSIAN COLLUSION and NOT because America voted him in and 17 democrats did EVERYTHING in their power to PROVE that there was Russian Collusion...and came up with ZERO...? Was THAT when Trump divided America? I can't even start to go over the NEGATIVE PRESS he's received since his surprise win... Remember, the DONORS, the likes Bloomberg, who gave 27 million, Tom Steyer who gave 17 million, George Soros who gave 9 million and MANY MORE that gave MULTI-MILLIONS to Hillary, wanted a return on their investment... Do you really think that donors give MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS just because they love Hillary? NO, these weren't campaign donations, they were INVESTMENTS into what HILLARY had promised them when she became president.... They were so sure she would win and they would be SHOWERED with HUGE RETURNS, and when it didn't happen and they LOST all those millions, they went all out to TAKE TRUMP out of OFFICE by any means possible... DID YOU KNOW that 90% of the Mainstream media and the corporations that own them, are owned by or run by BIG DEMOCRAT DONORS? You can verify all of that for yourselves...I did... Since the moment Trump won, even before he was inaugurated, the mainstream media's reporting was 92% negative on Trump, do you know why? It was those big donors that lost their dream of MILLIONS of dollars, on their returns that they were going to receive when Hillary was president and they weren't going to take that loss lightly...They needed to PUNISH TRUMP and those that VOTED HIM IN... I've said this since the night he was elected... "There is NOTHING the left won't do to take down our President", our country and us, no low they won't go to, to get their power back", and sadly, we have seen this every single day since his election. Let me ask you this...Have you ever listened to Trump or appreciated any accomplishment or campaign promises he's kept, have you ever gone to one of his rallies or have you just closed your mind to ANYTHING he does? Please ask yourselves the following questions, if you dare... What has Joe Biden done for America for the last 47 years that he's held an office? What did Joe Biden ever do for BLACKS when HE and Obama were in office? What has Joe Biden ever done in his entire life to create a private-sector job? What has Joe Biden done to help the American middle class worker? Let me also ask you this...Why do you think there are so many people tearing down statues, our burning flag, beating up police officers, disrespecting our founders and hating our country? It comes straight from our SCHOOLS that have slowly been tearing down our history... If there is a teacher out there, please tell me the following: Do you teach the truth that it was the DEMOCRATS that were the KKK? That the GRAND LEADER of the KKK was Robert Byrd, who was elected to congress and served for decades, and that it was Hillary, Bill, and Obama that gave his EULOGY praising him? That the DEMOCRATS fought the Civil war to KEEP SLAVERY? That the inner-city ghettoes were created by DEMOCRATS to keep control of slaves after they were freed? That planned parenthood was founded in inner cities to CONTROL the BLACK POPULATION? Is any of this in your history books? Let me ask you this as well. Can a student speak up when he/she disagrees with a teacher when they say that Trump is a horrible president or the electoral college has to be eliminated? I don't think so? Well, I know a student that actually happened to...When the teacher said it had to be eliminated because Hillary lost, and he stated the reason it should stay, She ripped him apart and gave the entire class a 5 hour test, and stated it was because he DARED to disagree with her... Is that happening in your schools? I'm only asking questions....I'd like your answers.. President Trump and his entire family has been vilified, demeaned and disrespected, for one reason and one reason only.......HE WON... Have you noticed the DEMOCRATS only throw tantrums and OBJECT to everything he does and have NEVER ONCE gotten behind him to make America the best it can be? WHY? They can't afford to get behind him...he would WIN AGAIN, and they can't let that happen....if he wins again, the Democrat party will be destroyed and they know it... Did you notice that the "CAGES" the left claimed that Trump built to put Illegal children in, WERE BUILT BY OBAMA for the very purpose of PUTTING ILLEGAL CHILDREN IN? Was THAT all over the news when Obama did it? The very same "CAGES"...but the media was silent!! How about when Trump commuted Roger Stone's sentence, and was DEMONIZED 24/7 but NOT A WORD when Obama commuted 1715 inmates, which included 330 that he granted on his last day in office... DID WE EVEN HEAR one WORD about it? >Were there reporters even reporting it...NO! Just look at the difference in the reporting. By the way, since Trump's been in office he's commuted 10 people...compare that to Obama...Is that reporting fair? How about when Biden and Obama allowed the H1N1, the SWINE FLU, to INFECT MILLIONS of Americans before declaring it a health emergency.... Was the press losing it's minds and calling it the OBAMAFLU AND BLAMING OBAMA and BIDEN for the spread ? SILENCE! Compare this to the NEGATIVE COVERAGE that Trump got when, he immediately halted travel from China when, in February, Nancy Pelosi went to Chinatown and said come on down, or when DeBlasio, in March, said ride the subways and go to broadway...BUT those same people are blaming Trump for the spread of coronavirus.. A FINAL QUESTION: What have the DEMOCRATS done to help make America the best, to get behind a president that works tirelessly to care about WE THE PEOPLE instead of using us as political pawns.. What have the democrats done for people of color EXCEPT for GIVING ILLEGALS more rights than citizens and having us pay for it... JUST imagine what this country could accomplish if the Democrats worked with him on the economy, the coronavirus, the inner cities where he's created opportunity zones, job training etc. When Trump tried to get school choice for inner-city students they ran Betsy Devoss out!! The dems running those innercity schools wanted no part of school choice. Have you ever wondered why it's cities that have been run, for decades, that have the MOST HOMELESS, the MOST CRIME, the most MURDERS, the worst INNER CITY schools, ARE ALL RUN BY DEMOCRATS??? If you haven't started asking yourselves those questions, maybe you should.. As I said, my entire family used to be democrats, but NOT ONE will ever vote for a democrat again....They asked themselves the same questions and the answer was clear.... I'm not looking for debates on this. I'm a Christian, and will not support the Democrats in Nov.

Added some new stuff to "Specialization"

Here is the link to the full list if you don't see it over there on the right.  "Specialization"

But when I don't, the hallucinations think I'm being awfully damned rude.

my hallucinations tend to cut me out of their conversations.

the voices in my head aren't talking to me anymore...

It's even worse when the voices in my head start whispering behind my back.

Tequila will fix that. It has always had my voices ramp right on up. Then they get funny just can't hold their happy juice.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant

SIX BOYS AND THIRTEEN HANDS

SIX BOYS AND THIRTEEN HANDS

Each year I am hired to go to Washington, DC, with the eighth grade class from Clinton, WI where I grew up, to videotape their trip. I greatly enjoy visiting our nation's capital, and each year I take some special memories back with me. This fall's trip was especially memorable.
On the last night of our trip, we stopped at the Iwo Jima memorial. This memorial is the largest bronze statue in the world and depicts one of the most famous photographs in history -- that of the six brave soldiers raising the American Flag at the top of a rocky hill on the island of Iwo Jima, Japan, during WW II
Over one hundred students and chaperones piled off the buses and headed towards the memorial. I noticed a solitary figure at the base of the statue, and as I got closer he asked, 'Where are you guys from?'
I told him that we were from Wisconsin. 'Hey, I'm a cheese head, too! Come gather around, Cheese heads, and I will tell you a story.'
(It was James Bradley who just happened to be in Washington, DC, to speak at the memorial the following day. He was there that night to say good night to his dad, who had passed away. He was just about to leave when he saw the buses pull up. I videotaped him as he spoke to us, and received his permission to share what he said from my videotape. It is one thing to tour the incredible monuments filled with history in Washington, DC, but it is quite another to get the kind of insight we received that night .)

When all had gathered around, he reverently began to speak. (Here are his words that night.)

'My name is James Bradley and I'm from Antigo, Wisconsin. My dad is on that statue, and I wrote a book called 'Flags of Our Fathers'. It is the story of the six boys you see behind me.
'Six boys raised the flag. The first guy putting the pole in the ground is Harlon Block. Harlon was an all-state football player. He enlisted in the Marine Corps with all the senior members of his football team. They were off to play another type of game. A game called 'War.' But it didn't turn out to be a game. Harlon, at the age of 21, died with his intestines in his hands. I don't say that to gross you out, I say that because there are people who stand in front of this statue and talk about the glory of war. You guys need to know that most of the boys in Iwo Jima were 17, 18, and 19 years old - and it was so hard that the ones who did make it home never even would talk to their families about it.
(He pointed to the statue) 'You see this next guy? That's Rene Gagnon from New Hampshire, If you took Rene's helmet off at the moment this photo was taken and looked in the webbing of that helmet, you would find a photograph... a photograph of his girlfriend Rene put that in there for protection because he was scared. He was 18 years old. It was just boys who won the battle of Iwo Jima. Boys. Not old men.
'The next guy here, the third guy in this tableau, was Sergeant Mike Strank. Mike is my hero. He was the hero of all these guys. They called him the 'old man' because he was so old. He was already 24. When Mike would motivate his boys in training camp, he didn't say, 'Let's go kill some Japanese' or 'Let's die for our country' He knew he was talking to little boys.. Instead he would say, 'You do what I say, and I'll get you home to your mothers.'
'The last guy on this side of the statue is Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian from Arizona. Ira Hayes was one of them who lived to walk off Iwo Jima . He went into the White House with my dad. President Truman told him, 'You're a hero' He told reporters, 'How can I feel like a hero when 250 of my buddies hit the island with me and only 27 of us walked off alive?'
So you take your class at school, 250 of you spending a year together having fun, doing everything together. Then all 250 of you hit the beach, but only 27 of your classmates walk off alive. That was Ira Hayes. He had images of horror in his mind. Ira Hayes carried the pain home with him and eventually died dead drunk, face down, drowned in a very shallow puddle, at the age of 32 (ten years after this picture was taken).
'The next guy, going around the statue, is Franklin Sousley from Hilltop, Kentucky. A fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. His best friend, who is now 70, told me, 'Yeah, you know, we took two cows up on the porch of the Hilltop General Store. Then we strung wire across the stairs so the cows couldn't get down. Then we fed them Epsom salts. Those cows crapped all night.' Yes, he was a fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. Franklin died on Iwo Jima at the age of 19. When the telegram came to tell his mother that he was dead, it went to the Hilltop General Store. A barefoot boy ran that telegram up to his mother's farm. The neighbors could hear her scream all night and into the morning. Those neighbors lived a quarter of a mile away.
'The next guy, as we continue to go around the statue, is my dad, John Bradley, from Antigo, Wisconsin, where I was raised. My dad lived until 1994, but he would never give interviews. When Walter Cronkite's producers or the New York Times would call, we were trained as little kids to say 'No, I'm sorry, sir, my dad's not here. He is in Canada fishing. No, there is no phone there, sir. No, we don't know when he is coming back.' My dad never fished or even went to Canada. Usually, he was sitting there right at the table eating his Campbell's soup. But we had to tell the press that he was out fishing He didn't want to talk to the press.
'You see, like Ira Hayes, my dad didn't see himself as a hero. Everyone thinks these guys are heroes, 'cause they are in a photo and on a monument. My dad knew better. He was a medic. John Bradley from Wisconsin was a combat caregiver. On Iwo Jima he probably held over 200 boys as they died. And when boys died on Iwo Jima, they writhed and screamed, without any medication or help with the pain.
'When I was a little boy, my third grade teacher told me that my dad was a hero When I went home and told my dad that, he looked at me and said, 'I want you always to remember that the heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who did not come back. Did NOT come back.'
'So that's the story about six nice young boys. Three died on Iwo Jima, and three came back as national heroes. Overall, 7,000 boys died on Iwo Jima in the worst battle in the history of the Marine Corps. My voice is giving out, so I will end here. Thank you for your time.'
Suddenly, the monument wasn't just a big old piece of metal with a flag sticking out of the top. It came to life before our eyes with the heartfelt words of a son who did indeed have a father who was a hero. Maybe not a hero for the reasons most people would believe, but a hero nonetheless.
One thing I learned while on tour with my 8th grade students in DC that is not mentioned here is . . that if you look at the statue very closely and count the number of 'hands' raising the flag, there are 13. When the man who made the statue was asked why there were 13, he simply said the 13th hand was the hand of God.

SOMETHING TO PONDER: George Carlin - from the Inbox

SOMETHING TO PONDER: George Carlin
To:

I'm sharing this with everyone on my email list.  Please read these words and take them to heart.  Blessings to all of you.

George Carlin's wife died early in 2008 and George followed her, dying in July 2008. It is ironic George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent and so very appropriate. An observation by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.
Remember to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.
George Carlin

From the Inbox - ITALY’S RECIPE FOR DISASTER – Heads up for U.S.?

ITALY'S  RECIPE FOR DISASTER

March 24, 2020

commie-recipe-for-disasterMontecalvo, Lombardy, Italy. As I sit here in my involuntary isolation, it was just reported that overnight 743 more people died and 5.249 new cases have been reported. This brings the total cases of infection to 69,176 and the body count to 6,820. We take relief in knowing that 8,326 people have recovered so far. (Numbers as of 3/24, 8:30pm in Italy.)
Most towns here in Italy, from the upper reaches of the Alps to the ancient shores of Sicilia and Sardenia, while not deserted, are closer to being ghost towns than the bustling centers of tourism, business and daily life they were just a few weeks ago.
Stores and shops have been shuttered. Restaurants and coffee shops no longer serve customers. Schools, universities, sporting arenas…even our museums and theaters…all closed. Even the Vatican City has closed its gates and armed patrols monitor the 20 foot tall walls that protect it!
Streets and roads are now empty for as far as the eye can see. Normally they would be filled with crazed Italian drivers in tiny cars and scooters (the ones that sound like demonic insects) darting here and there, reaching the limits of centrifugal force on our roundabouts. In the piazze of our towns and cities, there are now officially more pigeons than people.
Many of us know someone who has been infected and recovered. Some of us know someone who did not recover…now they are dead. But everyone knows someone who has been affected by this microscopic monster in one way or another.
Sixty million of us are in lockdown…it is like a war zone here. We are being held prisoner in our own homes by an unseen enemy that sneaked in unnoticed…by most of us. As you will read in just a few more minutes, there were those who knew something like this was coming…or at least they should have.
So who is to blame? With all this craziness swirling like a whirlpool at our feet, I just had to find the blame answer. And so I have spent my free time (of which I have a lot in these days) digging and researching. I was literally shocked to discover how this has come to be.
I am not going to bore you with talk of Patient '0' who spread it to Patient '1' and how mathematics efficiently explains the rapid expansion of infection. No…I am going to tell you how (as I see it) the virus came to Italy.
It has everything to do with communists. Allow me to explain.
Beginning in about 2014, Matteo Renzi, the imbecile ex-mayor of Firenze (Florence) acting as the leader of the Partito Democratico (synonymous with the Italian Communist party), somehow managed to get himself elected as Italy's Prime Minister. To give you a proper frame of reference, Matteo Renzi was so far left, he would make Barack Obama look like Barry Goldwater!
At the same time that Renzi was leading Italy into oblivion, strange things were happening in Italy's economy. Banks were failing…but not closing. Retirement ages were being extended…for some reason the pension funds were dwindling or disappearing. The national sales tax we call IVA (Value Added Tax) rose from 18% to 20%, then to 21% and again to 22%.
And in the midst of all this financial chicanery, the Chinese began furiously buying up Italian real estate and businesses in the North.
Now the reason I mention Renzi and the Chinese together is that strange things were also going on between the governments of Italy and China. A blind eye was being turned to the way the Chinese were buying businesses in the financial, telecommunication, industrial and fashion sectors of Italy's economy, all of which take place in Milano.
To be brief…China was getting away with purchases and acquisitions in violation of Italian law and EU Trade Agreements with the US and the UK…and no one in either of those countries (not Obama in the US or Cameron in the UK) said a thing in their country's defense. As a matter of fact, much of it was hidden from the public in all three countries.
In 2014, China infused the Italian economy with €5 billion through purchases of companies costing less than €100 million each. By the time Renzi left office (in disgrace) in 2016, Chinese acquisitions had exceeded €52 billion. When the dust settled, China owned more than 300 companies…representing 27% of the major Italian corporations.
The Bank of China now owns five major banks in Italy…all of which had been secretly (and illegally) propped up by Renzi using pilfered pension funds! Soon after, the China Milano Equity Exchange was opened and much of Italy's wealth was being funneled back to the Chinese mainland.
Chinese state entities own Italy's major telecommunication corporation (Telecom) as well as its major utilities (ENI and ENEL). Upon entry into the telecommunication market, Huawei established a facility in Segrate, a suburb of Milano. It launched is first research center there and worked on the study of microwaves which has resulted in the possibly-dangerous technology we call 5G.
China also now owns controlling interest in Fiat-Chrysler, Prysmian and Terna. You will be surprised to know that when you put a set of Pirelli tires on your car, the profits are going to China. Yep…the Chinese colossus of ChemChina, a chemical industry titan, bought that company too!
Last but not least is Ferretti yachts…the most prestigious yacht builder in Europe. Incredibly, it is no longer owned by the Ferretti family.
But the sector in which Chinese companies invested most was Italy's profitable fashion industry. The Pinco Pallino, Miss Sixty, Sergio Tacchini, Roberta di Camerino and Mariella Burani brands have been acquired by 100%.
Designer Salvatore Ferragamo sold 16% and Caruso sold 35%. The most famous case is Krizia, purchased in 2014 by Shenzhen Marisfrolg Fashion Company, one of the leaders of high-priced, ready-to-wear fashions in Asia.
Throughout all of these purchases and acquisitions, Renzi's government afforded the Chinese unrestricted and unfettered access to Italy and its financial markets, many coming through without customs inspections.
Quite literally, tens of thousands of Chinese came in through Milano (illegally) and went back out carrying money, technology and corporate secrets.
Thousands more were allowed to enter and disappeared into shadows of Milano and other manufacturing cities of Lombardy, only to surface in illegal sewing shops, producing knock-off designer clothes and slapping 'Made In Italy' labels on them. All with the tacit approval of the Renzi government.
It was not until there was a change in the governing party in Italy that the sweatshops and the illegal entry and departure of Chinese nationals was stopped. Matteo Salvini, representing the Lega Nord party, closed Italy's ports to immigrants and systematically began disassembling the sweatshops and deporting those in Italy illegally.
But his rise to power was short-lived. Italy is a communist country…socialism is in the national DNA. Ways were found to remove Salvini, after which the communist party, under the direction of Giuseppe Conte, reopened the ports. Immediately, thousands of unvetted, undocumented refugees from the Middle East and East Africa began pouring in again.
Access was again provided to the Chinese, under the old terms, and as a consequence thousands of Chinese, the majority from Wuhan, began arriving in Milano.
In December of last year, the first inklings of a coronavirus were noticed in Lombardy…in the Chinese neighborhoods. There is no doubt amongst senior medical officials that the virus was brought here from China.
By the end of January 2020 cases were being reported left and right. By mid-February the virus was beginning to seriously overload the Lombardy hospitals and medical clinics. They are now in a state of collapse.
The Far-Left politicians sold out and betrayed the Italian people with open border policies and social justice programs. One of the reasons the health care system collapsed so quickly is because the Renzi government (and now continued under the Conte government) redirected funds meant to sustain the medical system, to pay for the tens of thousands of immigrants brought in to Italy against the will of the Italian people.
If you remember the horrible earthquake that decimated the villages around Amatricia, in the mountains east of Rome in 2015, you would also remember how the world responded by sending millions of dollars to help those affected.
But there is a law in Italy that prevents private donations to charitable Italian organizations. All money and donations received must be turned over to a government agency, who in turn is to appropriate the funds as needed. But that agency is corrupt just as are all the others.
Most of the money never reached a single victim in the mountains. The Renzi government redirected the vast majority of those funds to pay for the growing immigrant and refugee costs.
As the economy worsened under the burden of illegal immigration, compounded by gross government spending and incompetence, unemployment rose quickly…especially among young people. The unemployment rate for men and women under age 35 is close to 40%.
So more money was diverted from the health care system and used to pay what is known here as guaranteed income. Whether you work or not you are paid here, especially if you belong to the PD! The government simply raises taxes on those who do work.
Let me give you a quick example of the height of insanity to which Italian taxation has risen. If you live in a building that has a balcony or balconies…and any of those balconies cast a shadow on the ground, you must pay a public shadow tax! I will say no more!
The point I am trying to make here is that not only did the Chinese bring the virus to Italy (and the rest of the world) it was far-Left politics and policies that facilitated it.
This should hopefully be a warning to Americans that while they work to rid themselves of the China Virus, they should just as vehemently endeavor to rid their government of any politician that circumvents the Constitution and ignores the laws of the land…plain and simple.

Giacomino Nicolazzo is one of Italy's most beloved writers.  Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, he lives in a small village in Lombardy where he writes his books.
Are we so far away? US pension funds and social security reserves pilfered, unfunded public pensions funded only by current taxes, increased retirement ages and in a time of pandemic and country emergency, the  US House can only think of pilfering more tax dollars for NPR,  Planned Parenthood &  the Kennedy Center.  Are the 'swells' in their tuxedos & gowns  unable to raise/donate funds to support their pet 'charities'?

Why do we call the .38 special a 38 and the .357 Magnum a .357?

Especially when both use the same diameter bullet?

Which is .357 if you didn't know.

Believe it or not this story starts back before the Civil War and the Colt Patterson pistol was first designed. The Colt Patterson was a .36 caliber cap and ball revolver using a round ball with a diameter of .365-.375. Depending on the bullet/ball mold used. The bullet/ball was slightly oversized to ensure a tight fit in both the cylinder and the barrel. Forcing the ball into the chamber would shave a thin slice of lead from the ball leaving a ring of lead behind.

As time progressed, Colt updated and modified his designs, giving us the Colt Walker, Dragoon, Navy and Army. The Walker, Dragoon and Army were in .44 caliber using a .445-.450 diameter ball, and the Navy using the same .365-.375 as the Patterson.

During the Civil War, cartridge firearm designs and conversions started to come into their own.

One of the most popular conversion designs converted the Colt Navy to a .38 caliber. However the .38 caliber wasn't for the bullet diameter, but the cartridge case diameter.

Many of the early .38 cartridges used a heeled bullet, similar to the .22 short, Long and Long Rifle of today, meaning the bullet had a narrow base that fit down inside the cartridge. And being a soft lead bullet, as it was forced through the forcing cone of the pistol, it engaged the rifling in the barrel better, giving it a better gas seal. The reason for the heeled bullet was it was difficult to crimp the cartridge into the bullet without a special and expensive tool, outside of an ammunition factory. Using heeled bullets, meant that users could reload their own cases in the field without many tools, besides a nail and a wooden dowel.

The original .38 Colt as it was known is now known as the .38 Colt Short As Colt came out with new and more robust designs, he lengthened the cylinder and introduced the .38 Colt Long as used in Colt M1877 Lightning. It was the US Army's use of the .38 Long Colt against the Philippine Moro's in their Colt M1892's which showed the cartridges inadequacies and which helped lead to the development of the .45 ACP.

However, as an attempt to salvage all of those .38 caliber firearms, Smith and Wesson developed from the .38 Colt Long, the .38 S&W Special in 1898.

So, that got us from the Colt Patterson to the .38 Special. But where did the .357 Magnum come in?

Well it starts with a man named Elmer Keith.

If you are big into shooting and you don't know who Elmer Keith is, you really need to box your ears and heigh thy butt to the library.

Elmer Keith is the FATHER of Magnums. Without his input, it is doubtful we wouldn't have the .357 Magnum, the .44 Magnum and many other things such as bullet designs, and the various types of reloading powders.

But in 1934, at the urging of Elmer Keith with Phil Sharpe, Douglas Wesson of Smith & Wesson, designed the .357 Magnum.

It still used the same .357 diameter bullet and the same .38 diameter case, however it was longer than it's parent case the .38 Special by 3.2 mm so it cannot be loaded in a .38 Special chambered firearm.

So there you have it. A brief primer on why the .38 special and the .357 Magnum both use the same diameter bullet.

And as a safety note, while you can in some .38 Special firearms, chamber the British .38/200 also known as the .38 S&W it is extremely unsafe to do so as the .38 S&W uses a .361 diameter bullet and the chamber pressures would be extremely unsafe to do so. However a firearm chambered for .38 S&W can safely chamber and fire .38 Colt Long and .38 Colt Short. Just not very accurately.  NOTE: I said SAFELY, this means you CANNOT fire the .38 Special from a .38 S&W firearm SAFELY.  It has to do with how fast the propellant burns and the pressure curves.  .38 Special develops too much pressure too fast, for the alloys of most available .38 S&W firearms.  Remember, everytime you fire a firearm, the pressure makes the chamber expand just a tiny bit.  then it shrinks back down.  The .38 special's pressure curve is too fast for the older .38 S&W chambered firearms metallurgy.  And while you might be able to fire a dozen or so cylinder fulls of .38 Specials, each time you do, you are forcing the chambers a little bit more out of spec.  Until one day you pull the trigger and the cylinder becomes a small hand grenade in your hand.  Think of an old Webley MK VI with a shaved cylinder to use .45 ACP's.  You can use low pressure low velocity .45 ACP ammunition in it.  But if you load a high velocity round in it, you have just destroyed your cylinder if not the whole firearm and possibly your hand or eyes.

And remember this, Your Mileage May Very and don't take what I write here as gospel. Be sure you have any older firearm checked by a competent gunsmith to be sure it is safe to fire ANY ammunition out of.

I make no claim to be an “Expert”, just a very talented amateur.

They will Kill You - 8 Facts About Doomsday Preppers

I am one of those "Survivalists" or "Preppers". After Hurricane Harvey, it was the preparations that I had made that allowed my family to stay in place, rather than have the .GOV pay for us to stay in a hotel room over a hundred miles away.

It was my generators, camp stoves, camp ovens, water purification supplies, and stored food and everything else, that meant that my family was fed, had power, water, light, and the means of communication, that other families did not.

We helped our neighbors clean up, we helped them with food, charging their cell phones and getting their cars started, and helping with potable water for drinking and cooking.

There were a few of the neighbors who because of their rudeness and surliness, if another disaster befell us, I would not help a second time. However for the most part, we all chipped in and helped one another.

My family lost a lot of our belongings in the storm, but a lot of my preps made it through and helped us.

There are those, especially in my area, who were and still are demanding the .GOV to do more. My house is still a wreck, but I and my family do have roofs over our heads, and I still have quite a bit in the way of preps. Granted all 4 of my generators are practically worthless now as they ran 22/7 for over 6 weeks. Even with oil changes and allowing them to cool down for an hour with every fill up of their fuel tanks. Their windings in their generators, and the simple wear on piston rings, is enough that they need to be replaced.

After the storm, I and many of my neighbors were ALWAYS armed as we went through our neighborhood as there were many people who came through looking to take things that didn't belong to them. One neighbor had his 3 canoe's taken, another had his RV broken into, the on board generator stolen, his adsorption refrigerator ripped out and severely damaged. So many of us were always armed.

I carried my G23 and my Maverick 88 EVERYWHERE I went. And the Local and State Police didn't say anything about it to us.

So don't look down your noses at people who try to set back preps for their families. You never know, it might be your family that needs help after a disaster.

My apologies for lack of posts.

I'm having to use my cell phone as a hot spot and I'm only getting dial up speeds with it. The video I posted earlier took almost 4 hours to upload. A 5 minute video to YouTube took 3 hours and 53 minutes to upload. To post the video here took me almost 20 minutes, to wait for the page to create the post to fully load.

I've got several videos to post to the GBBL, but it takes almost an hour to post just 2 videos.

Also, you may have noticed my eldest daughter posted about her business. Please check out her web store, it makes it easier for her to make her car and insurance payments.

I'm hoping next month to have it in the budget, to get internet back, but I still have to finesse the budget some.

From the Inbox - Where Did The Hatred For The Flag Start?

EVER WONDER WHERE COLIN KAEPERNICK GOT HIS IDEA TO KNEEL AND DISRESPECT THE FLAG?

DO NOT ADD A SINGLE WORD, but just pass it on.

Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

Senator Obama replied :

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides." "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression..." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we,as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails, perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments".

When I Become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

"Of course now,

I have found myself about to become The President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America."

Yes, you read it right.

Please pass on without comment.

Just think, with the entire country knowing how that man thought and believed, they still elected him to run and represent the country two times.

We deserved what we got.

From The Inbox - A poem about The Boys of Benghazi

Do you recall President Obama referring to the Benghazi incident as "a bump in the road?"

Recently I heard an ex-Navy Seal being interviewed on Fox News regarding a book he has Written about how to handle crisis situations in our lives.

At the end of the interview he asked if he could make a comment on Benghazi and, of course, The anchor said "yes."

He then thanked Fox News for keeping the Benghazi story in the news, since other news organizations are not.

He said the Seals who died deserve the public knowing the truth about the whole Affair.

The poem was written by an anonymous Marine Corps officer:

"THE BATTLING BOYS OF BENGHAZI"

We're the battling boys of Benghazi,

No fame, no glory, no paparazzi.

Just a fiery death in a blazing hell,

Defending our country we loved so well.

It wasn't our job, but we answered the call,

Fought to the Consulate and scaled the wall.

We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate

Led them to safety and stood at the gate.

Just the two of us and foes by the score,

But we stood fast to bar the door.

Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,

So we fought and we fought and we fought 'til we died.

We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,

But Barack and Hillary didn't give a damn.

Just two dead Seals who carried the load

No thanks to us...we were just

"Bumps In The Road".

So, will this reach every American with a computer? Or do we act like the press and give a pass to the people who literally sat there in the White House and watched the Seals' execution on live streaming video and did absolutely nothing?

"What difference does it make?"
