The federal government is proposing to lease land for oil and gas drilling outside Chaco Culture National Historical Park later this year, just a few months after Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke scrapped plans to lease other lands in the area amid opposition from tribes and environmentalists.
At the time, Zinke said he would defer those leases until his administration could “do some cultural consultation.”
But conservationists say the government has not undertaken any additional study despite mounting calls for an outright moratorium on drilling in an area that is particularly significant to the history of New Mexico’s indigenous people.
“It is unacceptable for Secretary Zinke to pay lip service to the need for cultural review and consultation while still charging ahead with plans to auction off this sacred landscape to the fossil fuel industry,” Miya King-Flaherty of the Sierra Club Rio Grande Chapter said in a statement.
Aides to Zinke, who briefly visited New Mexico earlier this week for a speech that was closed to the media, did not respond to questions for this story.
A close friend of mine who IS a Native American asked me to post this. Seriously, this is something that NEEDS to be stopped, not for all time, but until such time as it can be assured that the fracking will do no damage to the sites.

I have left Facebook and joined Minds.com
I've gotten very tired and exasperated with FB, especially when they keep trying to load super cookies on to my computer which are very hard to remove and tries to copy my login information for other sites and transmit them to a IP Address that resolves to the UK.
Since the NSA isn't supposed to "Spy" on US Citizens, but they "Share" info with GCHQ, I think I know what is going on with FB and their "Targeted" ads, which keep trying to download a super cookie to my computer.

Update to Specialization
When everything goes wrong and you know you are about to die, you pray. You pray to God like you learned in Sunday school.
When no answer comes, you start praying to anyone that will listen. And sometimes they do. Sometimes it isn't a Jehovah or Yahweh that hears you. Sometimes the Old Gods do. Sometimes the Old Gods answer.
People always get it wrong. The Old Gods in the myths we read in school are always made out to be slightly silly, a little goofy. But they were actually sources of sheer terror. Poseidon brought raging storms and crashing waves. Ares was a bloodthirsty killer who reveled in death, battle, and the stench of blood. Frightening, monstrous beings with immense power, unspeakable rages and towering jealousies.
The most terrifying of all the Gods was Zeus. Striking from the top of Mount Olympus, hurling bolt after bolt of deadly lightning, against which there was no defense, no chance of survival.

Savage Model 24 pics
If you have a Savage Model 24, preferably older ones, please take same pictures of it and e-mail them to me, along with a statement giving me permission to use them. Any caliber combination, any sub model, any condition. I need photos for a video I am doing and I don't want to violate anyone's copyright.
