I think this Lady, (please note the capitalization of that) has an idea of why young men either become useless fops, or angry bitter rebellious teens. I will only excerpt a small section here.

We have watched godly parents lose their sons in fits of rebellion, leaving mangled remnants of families to stagger onward. Is there any hope for us? Will our sweet sons be fodder for an angry world?"

Two Teen girls killed near me

I have been keeping an eye on this story but I haven't posted anything until now. Just to note, this is about 15 miles from my house.

"PORTLAND — Two teen women were found shot in the head about 25 yards beneath a scenic overlook deck at Violet Andrews Park about 9 a.m. Saturday by a couple visiting the park, police said.

Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, raised in Ingleside and living in Flour Bluff, was dead, said Police Chief Randy Wright. Olgin’s vehicle was found near the crime scene, he said."

That was the first story about this heinous crime.

Then we find out some more information.

"PORTLAND — There is no evidence that the shooting of two teens last weekend had anything to do with their romantic relationship, Portland Police Chief Randy Wright said Tuesday.

News organizations have brought nationwide attention to the shooting of two women at a Portland park late Friday, emphasizing their relationship. Many have questioned if the teens were shot as a hate crime."

Now we have the automatic assumption by some that this is a hate crime based upon the sexual orientation of the victims.

So of course we then get various special interest organizations involved.

"PORTLAND — Organizations from California to Washington D.C. planned vigils in the memory of two teenagers found shot in a Portland park.

A call to honor the girls, one who survived and the other who died, went out on Facebook earlier this week.

On Monday, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights activist and founder of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, Cleve Jones, posted a plea for the nation to get involved by hosting vigils."

Nationwide candle light vigils...... what about other crime victims?

"ARANSAS PASS — Hours after a fisherman discovered the body of a young girl Thursday, authorities identified her as a 16-year-old missing since Monday.

Jenna Hernandez, 16, of Aransas Pass was found Thursday about 9 a.m. by a fisherman visiting from San Antonio, police said."

Where is the candle light vigil for her? This happened only 6 miles from my house. Where is all the outrage for her? Where is all the support for her family? Where is the manufactured outrage for the the rest of the ordinary people who are murdered? Ohhh, I see they aren't special enough, unless they belong to a select group of people. What hypocrisy. There should be outrage for anyone who is murdered. However for certain groups, it doesn't fit the agenda.

Well I'll start taking those groups seriously when they start acknowledging that ANY murder of ANY person is heinous. To have their "Candle Light Vigil" only for persons who meet their criteria is the same as waving a flag soaked in the blood of a martyr is for terrorists.

Oh and a description of the suspect in the Portland shooting/murder has been released.

"CORPUS CHRISTI — Portland police released a description of a suspect Thursday in the weekend shootings of two teenage girls who are being mourned in vigils this week across the country.

An eyewitness described the suspect as a white male in his 20s with dark hair standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds."

Once again the police say they do not believe that the girls sexual orientation was a factor in their shooting. Try telling that to certain organizations, looking for their "Martyrs".

The Individual Mandate is gone

but the Affordable Care Act is classified as a tax.  I have to go to the Doctor now.  I'll add more later.

Missing posts.

I'm pretty sure those posts are gone now. I"m not entirely certain but what I believe happened is this.

Blogger/Google upgraded me to the new template/interface, it took several posts that I had published and put them back in draft. I delete my draft posts every month as I just use draft for a notepad you might say. So I deleted the posts that I had written, after they were snafued into the draft section.

That is all I am going to say on this matter other than if that is truly what happened I need to kick myself for not checking the draft posts before I deleted them. In my own defense however, I have never had this situation occur before.

Oh bother

with the issues of posts of mine disappearing I just went and changed passwords for 6 of my accounts. Now as long as I don't lose the post it note on my monitor until those passwords become ingrained, I'll be fine.

It is official

About 20 of my posts are GONE, MISSING, NOT HERE.  most of them were rather critical of the Government, in particular they were critical of the President.  And they are no longer on my blog.  They are not in the Draft section, they are not in the scheduled section, they are not anywhere.  I have been trying to find a cached version of my blog from february or march.  I think what happened is when blogger rolled out it's new version many posts got mangled. And of course the archive.org server has been down any time I try to access the cached version of my blog.  It says there is one from april 30th, but all day I can't get to it or any cached version of my blog.

What really chaps my but is the posts I want to see have links in them to the misdoing of the current resident to 1600 Pennsylvania and his henchmen/women.  and it is for the most part only those posts.

Has anyone else lost any posts?  Or am I imagining/hearing things?

Delegitimizing the Supreme Court

I have posted twice before about Obummer and his cronies attacking members of SCOTUS.  First it was Justice Thomas, then it was Justice Roberts.  (I had a post on it, but for some reason after going through 5 years of my blog it is not there)  Then there is Obummer making his own edicts. Now all his attacks against the members of SCOTUS have a reason.

Obama's campaign says it is particularly concerned about the implementation of new voter ID laws across the country, the possibility of anti-fraud activists challenging legitimate voters and the handling of voter registrations in the most competitive states."

If Obummer has delegitimized the SCOTUS, he can make spurious arguments to have several Justices recused.  If that happens, He wins.  Got that?  If he can further delegitimize the conservative Justices of the court, he can steal the november election.

The appointed board is comprised of State's Attorney Mike Wepsiec, Sheriff Robert Burns and Clerk Larry Reinhardt. It disqualified GOP candidates for county board, circuit clerk, coroner and state's attorney."

I don't want anyone to think I'm bashing female soldiers, I am not, but except for a small minority of women, there is NO WAY they can meet the same physical standards as male soldiers. That is a certifiable incontrovertible FACT. Not a guess not a conjecture a FACT. And for the current administration to try to force this on the armed forces shows me that they are more concerned with "Looking Good" than in actually doing their jobs.

Ohhh what an idiot

This recently happened in my neck of the woods.

A guy wanted to get off work early, so he called in a bomb threat. One leetle problem, he works at a refinery.

"CORPUS CHRISTI — A 26-year-old Robstown man pleaded guilty Monday to enticing another man to make hoax bomb threats to a Corpus Christi refinery.

During a hearing in federal court, Luna admitted he convinced his cousin to make several calls Oct. 25 and Oct. 28 to the Valero Refinery claiming there was a bomb on the property."

Uuhhmmm I thought any type of threat against our infrastructure, such as a refinery, is considered as a terrorism threat. I hope he like prison.....

Immigration Dissent

To go along with Obummer's "Targeted Assassinations" he also has a problem with his immigration policy and his instructions to the prosecutors.

"In a stinging, 22-page dissent to Monday's decision striking down most of Arizona's tough anti-illegal immigration law, Justice Antonin Scalia criticized President Barack Obama's announcement earlier this month that he would stay the deportation of young illegal immigrants and suggested that the federal government does not want to enforce its immigration laws.

"The president said at a news conference that the new program is 'the right thing to do' in light of Congress's failure to pass the administra­tion's proposed revision of the Immigration Act," Scalia, a Reagan appointee, wrote in his dissent. "Perhaps it is, though Arizona may not think so. But to say, as the Court does, that Arizona contradicts federal law by enforc­ing applications of the Immigration Act that the President declines to enforce boggles the mind."

Scalia went on to write:

Arizona bears the brunt of the country's illegal immigration problem. Its citizens feel themselves under siege by large numbers of illegal immigrants who invade their property, strain their social services, and even place their lives in jeopardy. Federal officials have been unable to remedy the problem,and indeed have recently shown that they are unwilling to do so. Thousands of Arizona's estimated 400,000 illegal immigrants—including not just children but men and women under 30—are now assured immunity from en­forcement, and will be able to compete openly with Ari­zona citizens for employment.

Scalia also repeatedly referenced Obama's policy of prosecutorial discretion, which directs Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to prioritize deporting the illegal immigrants who are frequent border crossers, have committed crimes, or recently entered the country illegally. The Obama administration has deported a record number of illegal immigrants, but its prosecutorial discretion policy still draws the ire of illegal immigration hawks.

Scalia directly referred to Obama's immigration enforcement policy as "lax" at one point."

You know it's bad when Jimmy Carter is calling you out.

Former President Jimmy Carter, is calling out the Obama Administration on it's use of drones for targeted attacks.

"A former U.S. president is accusing the current president of sanctioning the "widespread abuse of human rights" by authorizing drone strikes to kill suspected terrorists.


Jimmy Carter, America's 39 th president, denounced the Obama administration for "clearly violating" 10 of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, writing in a New York Times op-ed on Monday that the "United States is abandoning its role as the global champion of human rights."

When good Ol boy Jimmah starts calling you out for your abuses of targeted drone strikes ie: assassinations, you know you dun goofed. Add to the reports of "The One" watching all of the video from the strikes, it leads me to believe Obummer gets off on the power he has in authorizing the strikes.

Just what we need a narcissistic, egotistical wannabe with the power of life and death running the show.

JUST LIKE THE OLD " BURMA SHAVE ADS  YEARS AGO."   On  I-5 (88 miles south of  Seattle ) The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed or  Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate  highways. The State of  Washington replied, they will secede from the   Union rather than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private citizen. It seems the Obama  government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone. Northbound on I-5 near  Chehalis ,   WA      (88 miles S of Seattle )

Something to feel strong about- From my inbox

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense. If each person who receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.  Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ." You are one of my 20+. I passed it on, will you? "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice," and these brave soldiers have given you that right!!

This reminded me of a book

in particular a certain statement by a certain character. The book is part of The Vorkosigan Saga, written by Lois McMaster Bujold. If I am remembering correctly the quote is by the Komarran who Emperor Gregor has his eyes on where she discusses how people want to "Eat their seed corn" when it comes to taking taxes out of the planet Komarr. If I could remember exactly the quote I would link you to the book at Amazon, but my brain has failed me. However back to the article I read. It discusses some issues with our current economic situation.

"I have frequently admitted to being simple minded. While the world's economic and financial systems are enormously complicated, it seems to me that the bottom line is not complicated at all. Governments, like private corporations and individuals, have assets and liabilities. When the first is larger than the second, the question is what to do with the surplus. When the second is larger than the first, one must do one or more than one of three things: somehow increase assets and/or diminish liabilities, or default (or declare bankruptcy), or borrow the difference.

The last is the least painful in the short run, though it means increasing liabilities over the long run. That requires that there is someone you can borrow from right now. That in turn means that someone has to be running a big enough surplus to cover your shortfall. The current world crisis seems to be the result of a simple mathematical fact: there is simply not enough surplus in the world economy to cover all of the world's debts."

Over at the Volokh Conspiracy David Kopel has the story of OSHA citing a Gun Store/Range for so-called "violations", such as:

"A gun range instructor conducting shooter instruction was observed reaching down on the range floor to collect a loaded handgun cartridge. The employee was not wearing any hand protection such as gloves. The gun range floor was contaminated with lead. The gun had misfired and it required manual cycling of the barrel slide to remove the defective round which then fell on the gun range floor."

Plain Simple

The Omelet I created

has some other fans.  Many years ago I created the 5 egg, Ham and Cheese Omelet.  I originally ordered it at the Denny's restaurant on Natural Bridge Road across from Lambert Airport.  I could only get it at night when the manager wasn't in.Now for the third time, the IHOP in Corpus Christi has made it for me, and this time the person who was with me ordered it as well, and then the gentleman sitting over in the next booth asked for it as well.  Heck if this keeps going, it might become a regular menu item.

A 5 Egg, Ham and Cheese Omelet is simply a 2 egg Ham and Cheese Omelet, that is folded into a 3 Egg Ham and Cheese Omelet.  The extra melted cheese goodness when you cut into it with your fork and the texture of the eggs, hmmmm I'm making myself hungry again just thinking about it.

So try it sometime.  If you aren't a large person like me, you can always share it your friend or sweetheart.

Me?  I eat the whole thing by myself, plus a shortstack of buttermilk pancakes, crisp hashbrowns and wheat toast with strawberry jam.

The best thing about it though, is that IHOP, could have charged me for 2 omelets, instead they just charged me for 2 extra eggs.  I will DEFINITELY be going back there to get it again.  And IHOP, if you DO decide to make this a regular menu Item, could you kinda name it for me?  The Grey Locke 5 Egg Ham and Cheese Omelet, or Mark's 5 Egg Omelet, or The Texas Fellowship 5 Egg Omelet or something like that.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/31/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

Homeland Security Terrorism Study

The Department of Homeland Security allows it's political masters biases to color a report that could be very instrumental in keeping this nation safe.

"In an era of agenda-driven academic research, who watches the watchers? Or more accurately, who gets to designate and categorize the “objective” data? This is the question raised after examining a study and related dataset recently published by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) at the University of Maryland.
START was launched in 2005 with a $12 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security, and is recognized by DHS as one of its “Centers for Excellence.” In December, DHS announced it had renewed START’s funding to the tune of $3.6 million.
A recent START study titled “Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970 to 2008” puts the “excellence” description in question. A press release announcing the report states the study concluded that nearly a third of all terrorist attacks between 1970 and 2008 occurred in just five major metropolitan areas. The study was based on a START database called “Profiles of Perpetrators of Terrorism in the United States,” and both the report and database are supported by the DHS Science and Technology Directorate’s Human Factors/Behavioral Sciences Division.

If you’re fiercely nationalistic (pro-American), anti-global (anti-UN), suspicious of centralized federal authority (like the Framers), reverent of individual liberty (like Patrick Henry), and believe in “conspiracy” theories (like the federal government allowing the sale of assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels to justify limiting American’s rights under the Second Amendment, a la Fast and Furious), then according to these taxpayer-funded researchers, you too are on the “extreme right-wing.” Many Americans would be surprised to find themselves so categorized by the researchers at START.
It should be no surprise that two subgroups identified in the codebook under “extreme right-wing” include “gun rights” and “tax protest.” Tea Party terrorists, anyone?
Again, this raises the question: who gets to categorize the data?"
