U2 frontman Bono to testify in front of congress today

"The U2 front man and co-founder of the ONE campaign, an anti-poverty organization, is poised to testify Tuesday afternoon at a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on violent extremism and the role of foreign assistance."

Here is my question.

What relevance does an "ENTERTAINER" have and "WHY" are they even given a platform for their own pet beliefs?  ESPECIALLY since the person in question isn't even a U.S. Citizen?

He is going to talk about "Violent Extremism" is he an intelligence analyst?  Is he a Sociologist?  Has he written a peer reviewed paper on the subject?

NO!

He is a FRONTMAN FOR A BAND and a CHARITY!!!!!


He will get in front of Congress and spin his little sob story point of view and try to get more relevance for himself and the charity he is involved with.

And he and the charity will spin this appearance into MORE DONATIONS!!!!!!

I'd like to see the SEC Filings for that Charity.  In Fact, ANYTIME ANY Celebrity opens their mouths about any Charity, that charity's Filing's should be published on the SAME PAGE.  So we the people can see just how much of our donations ACTUALLY go to the people they are supposed to help.

Charities aren't going to be there.
