Last Day for Kilted to Kick Cancer

September is drawing to a close and so ends Prostrate Cancer Awareness Month.

However, you can STILL donate to Kilted to Kick Cancer.

Please click on the following link to donate anywhere from $1.00 to as much as you wish to.

Donate!! - Kilted To Kick Cancer

Please if you could, choose "Team Corpus Christi" as the team you are donating for.

So far in the last two years, I have been the only person to donate for Team Corpus Christi.

It's kinda embarrassing.  I really don't want to just chuck it and say fugeddaboutit, but please show some love to the Corpus Christi Area and donate for Team Corpus Christi.

You can still donate after today, but it won't go towards the team ranking.  so if you can, toss a few buck to Kilted to Kick cancer and Team Corpus Christi.

also if you set up a recurring donation for every month.  It willstill go towards the team you choose, AND you will get a T-shirt.  Read more HERE.

My youngest (Sprog #7 - Son #4) has his first footbal game today

He is playing Nose Tackle for the Middle School team.  So I am going to dress up in my Kilt, because it IS Prostrate Cancer Awareness Month and I AM collecting for Kilted to Kick Cancer and will drive down Portland for my son's first game.

I will post up some photos and maybe some video later.

In the Meantime I have some posts scheduled, and if you can, please to Kilted to Kick Cancer.

Visit Kilted To Kick Cancer you can donate as little as $1 or as much as you wish. however for every $10.00 donation you make you get one ticket to enter the raffle for a Dreadnaught Industries AR-15 rifle simply e-mail a copy of your confirmation form or receipt to kelly@kiltedtokickcancer.org, also Kilted to Kick Cancer IS a 501(c)(3) registered charity, so your donations are tax deductible.

Now, I need to get ready for a football game.

Kilted to Kick Cancer standings

Team Dragon is in the lead.  And as you can see, I evidently am the only person so far to donate to Team Corpus Christi, as I am the Captain of Team Corpus Christi.

If you can, please donate and select "Team Corpus Christi", from the drop down menu at the top of the donation menu.

To donate click on the link (DONATE) and click "Add to cart" for a $10.00 donation.  You can change the quantity to donate in $10.00 increments.

Also for every $10.00 you donate, you can enter into a drawing for a Dreadnaught Industries AR-15 Rifle by e-mailing a copy of your receipt or confirmation page to kelly@kiltedtokickcancer.org.

Please it is for a good cause, and I really would like to have more than just myself donating this year.

I have been Remiss - It is time to BREAK OUT YOUR KILTS!! Kilted to Kick Cancer is running all September long.

I am the team captain of Team Corpus Christi, so if you would care to make a donation for at least $10.00 you can ALSO be eligible to enter the raffle for a Dreadnaught Industries AR-15.  All you need to do is to e-mail Kelly aka Ambulance Driver your receipt or donation confirmation to to him at kelly@kiltedtokickcancer.org to be entered in the drawing.

More information over at Kelly's blog HERE.

So if you can make a donation, I ask please consider making one towards Team Corpus Christi.  The last 2 years, only myself and my family members and a few friends made donations for our team.  Many didn't know how to select the team so their donation went into the general fund.  I"m not complaining, but just once I'd like to have a reasonable showing.

To select your team, on the donation page it has a drop down box to select the team you are donating for, then you can fill out your information.

You can now use PayPal as well to make your donation, either with your standard PayPal account or with a credit card.

Kilted to Kick Cancer Standings

Well folks, I was out and about ALL day today in my kilt.  I had to pick up my mother from the hospital after her surgery.  So if you saw a guy walking around wearing a 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt with a Powder Blue Kilted to Kick Cancer T-shirt and a navy blue jungle hat, that was me.

I'll probably be BACK down in Corpus friday and I'll dig out my OD Green Kilt to wear.

The current standings for the 2015 KTKC are at the following link: KTKC Standings

You see that ONE $20.00 Donation for Team Corpus Christi?  That's ME.  Please if you can, Donate, and choose Team Corpus Christi for the Team you are supporting.  Last year it was only me donating also.  I know that finances can be tough, but I specifically set out a certain amount ($20.00) EACH month that I donate to various Charities.  This month it's Kilted to Kick Cancer.  If I can do it with 5 of my 7 kids still at home PLUS helping my daughter in college and my eldest when she runs a bit short sometimes on less than $1,200.00 a month Social Security, you can set aside a small amount to donate yourself.

Maybe it's NOT, KTKC, maybe it's Christian Children's Fund (who I also donate to) or the Salvation Army (Another I donate to), your local Animal Shelter (I'm going to switch out the local Humane Society for Vet Ranch Rescue starting next month), EACH Month I donate to a DIFFERENT Charity.  And it's ALWAYS $20.00.

I know budgeting every month can be HARD.  I have seven kids and I'm on disability, trust me, I know.  But if you set aside the same amount each and every month and plan for it, you can work it into your budget.  Even if it's as little as $5.00 a month.  You CAN make a difference.

So please even if you don't want to support Team Corpus Christi, you can donate directly to KTKC and you can even do it anonymously if you wish.

All donations ARE tax deductible.

Right now we aren't even listed on the weekly stats.

Even though I know I've made a donation under Team Corpus Christi.

Ken and I will "Dunk Our Junk" and post it if we break $250.00  I'm pretty sure Adam will join in as well.

Our hope is to break $5,000.00 though.  If we get $5,000.00 before the end of September and we can find a Proctologist willing to help out.  Ken and I will get our prostrate exams while wearing our Kilts and we will film it, (From the front, get your minds out of the gutter) and post it the video.

So remember, Get Kilted and Get your Prostrate Checked.

Kilted To Kick Cancer - Calling ALL CORPUS PEEPS

If you live in or around the Corpus Christi Texas Area and own a Kilt, I need your help.

"Kilted to Kick Cancer Is Only 10 Days Away!
Follow @AmboDriver

There have been some big changes with Kilted to Kick Cancer in the past month, the biggest of which is our official 501(c)3 charity designation!

If you plan to be one of our Kilted Fundraisers for 2014, we have a little change in the usual process. Just drop an email to Justin@kiltedtokickcancer.org, and tell him the name of the fundraising team you wish to register. It can be your own name, your blog name, your Internet nom de guerre, whatever you like, as long as it’s unique and distinctive, and…

… boom, you’re registered!

Donations can be made on the donation page at the Kilted to Kick Cancer website. Just direct your donors to that link, have them enter your team name and the amount, and you’re golden! We can track all your donations and post weekly update of fundraiser standings, but donors MUST DONATE ON BEHALF OF YOUR TEAM. That’s how we track your progress."

So please send me a message or comment here if you'd like to join Team Corpus Christi.

AND IT IS O F F I C I A L!!!  We are Team Corpus Christi.  So click on the donation link:

Kilted to Kick Cancer

Over there at the top right there is a pic saying Kilted to Kick Cancer.  If you'd like to donate please click on it.

I'm raising funds for prostrate cancer research, and I'm embarrassed to say, so far I am the only person to donate to my campaign.  I set a small goal of only $200.00 so please help me reach that goal.  I know there is no way I could bet Jay or AD, and I don't have sponsors to offer prizes like they do, however I"m in this to just try to help fund cancer research, not for any prizes.

So if you have some extra funds, please click on that link and donate.

I will be scarce the next few days

I am leaving for St. Louis in about 10 hours, where I have some personal business to take care of.  I will also be touring a Tactical Training facility just outside of the St. Louis Metropolitan area.  I'm not taking a course, but there was a video posted over at ENDO (Every Day, No Days Off), and after the comments on the video were rather disparaging, I sent an e-mail to the company in question.  I have received an invitation to actually try some of the training they offer, however my physical condition would make that a "Bad Idea".  So I will be touring their facility and they have offered to let me shoot a few of their firearms and actually will let me climb (They said they have a ladder) on top of their shoot house so I can verify how safe their wall filler is at preventing errant rounds from leaving the house.

So if everything goes to spec, Tuesday as I make my way back to Texas, I will stop at Asymmetric Solutions Farmington Facility, and I will get a tour.  I'm bringing an extra Kilt with me so maybe we can get a few more donations for Kilted To Kick Cancer.

And after I get back, I will be doing a write up of their facility plus I'm taking along a few of my cameras, so I will have video's as well.

Just don't expect me to try any drills.

Please seriously.  I'm worse than Rooster Cogburn.   I'm too old and too fat  :)

Also as an aside.  Asymmetric Solutions has graciously offered to let me use their range so I can Zero the sights on the Franken-15, which will also be getting a write up after I have it Zeroed properly. So hopefully, by next Wednesday I'll be home and I'll have some video, photo's and a lot of words to post.

I had hoped Double Tap Defense, makers of the Heizer Double Tap, would have e-mailed me back, as I had an invitation from one of their reps at the Houston NRA Annual Meeting, to test their pistol.  As of yet, I still haven't received any word. I'm still packing an extra 100 rounds of .45 ACP in my range bag, just in case they do contact me while I'm in St. Louis.

:)
