Interesting

Seattle is under Federal control

Now I used to be a FSO (Federal Security Officer) a contract employee working at several Federal Installations and Buildings in St. Louis. The SUV's do say DHS on them, they also say Federal Protective Service.

FPS Officers are Federal Police Officers, they check any facility the GSA administers.

Courthouses, Army Reserve Centers, Recruiters Offices, any Federal GSA Administered building will have FPS Officers checking on it.

In St. Louis there were 36 FPO's checking buildings and installations from southern Illinois to Warrenton Missouri. On average they would put 200 to 300 miles on their patrol vehicles EVERY SHIFT.

They would stop at a facility, go in, check on the Contract FSO (Like I was), check the logs, maybe do a foot patrol of the building or installation. Then they would head on to their next stop.

If what happened in those photos was anywhere near a GSA Administered facility, then I can understand why they were there. As to following the people taking pictures of them, that is standard policy ever since Oklahoma City and the Murrah Building Bombing.

If you find that unusual, well you have never had to be one of those FSO's working 12 on 12 off after Oklahoma City, scrutinizing every vehicle, every large truck, wondering if that truck would be the one which would blow up and kill you.  Wondering if you might have to pull your weapon and actually shoot someone.  Wondering why the company you work for can afford to buy the supervisors brand new Cadillac SUV's but couldn't afford body armor.  And you couldn't wear body armor UNLESS it was issued by the company.

You would wonder why they required you to carry a S&W Model 10 that was almost older than you when the FPS Officers were carrying SIG's and Berrettas.

So yes, the FPO's are suspicious of anyone taking pictures around a Federal Facility.

SO I look at those pictures Kenny posted and the only thing I'm thinking is "Where is the nearest recruiting office or federal building"  If that happened more than 4 or 5 blocks away, THEN I would be concerned.
