It's a start
Preparedness for kids at Shooting Illustrated has a decent start for a kids BOB. However, there are a few other things that could be added. Here are the contents of an adult BOB and a youth BOB, that are a little bit more detailed. Not every situation is the same though, so take this with a grain of salt. But it is a good beginning.

and we are talking about how they think one of their teachers might like parts of my blog but not others. They asked if I could block certain parts of it so she could see the others. I told them this

2 more of the J&G Taurus 82's
Ok, I went over to my mothers house to clean her pistol and my cousins pistol. The first few shots show my mothers pistol, the last 3 are from my cousins pistol.
This is my mom's Taurus Mod 82 with the grips removed. You can see some of the rust under the grip area and at the edges of the grips area.
These are the grips that came with her pistol. Rather beat up and worse for wear. Since this is the pistol my mother is going to use, I took the grips from my original Model 82 which I took off when I put Pachmayrs on it, and put them on her pistol. I didn't get a photo of it because I forgot, but after a thorough cleaning and the grips from my pistol it looks very good.
Here is my mom's pistol with the cylinder and crane removed. If you do not know enough about firearms to do this, don't ask me to tell you because I won't. You can damage your pistol if you do it incorrectly, and make it unsafe to use. There was a lot of fouling buildup on the inside of the frame and crane area which I removed using a phosphor bronze brush and some Hoppe's #9. The the whole frame was given a scrubbing as well.
Here is mom's pistol with the sideplate removed , so I could get inside to clean out all the fouling. Once again if you do not know what you are doing, I am not going to tell you. If you do not have the knowledge to do this properly you can DESTROY, yes I said DESTROY your pistol by damaging the sideplate and frame. So if you don't know, don't do it. Take it to a gunsmith to do this. I once again took my phosphor bronze brush soaked in Hoppes to clean out the inside, Q-tips help out here a lot, as well as a small magnetic jewelers screwdriver, to get all the gunk and junk out of the pistols internals.
This is my cousin's pistol, with very heavy fouling. It took me a lot of scrubbing, Q-tips and time to get all the fouling out and the grittiness out of the action.
It looks a little better here, but it still took me a while to get it all cleaned up.
This last pic I threw in to show the transfer bar safety. This is why I prefer the old Taurus's to the old S&W revolvers. The old S&W don't have a firing pin per se, they have what is called a "Hammer Nose", which is a physical firing pin on the nose of the hammer. With the old S&W a sharp strike on the back of the hammer "COULD" fire a round. Not exactly something I want to carry in a holster pointing down my leg at my knee and foot.
Both pistols took me about an hour to clean. Not surprising considering that these were police turn ins. The bores look good and other than having some gritty feeling in the action from all the fouling. The trigger breaks rather nicely at 6-8 lbs for double action and around 2 -3 lbs for single action. Not bad for a $139.95 pistol.
All of these pistols should be getting some rounds through them either this week or next, so I can see how they group at 7 yards. That is the most common self-defense usage range so that is what I will have my mother and cousin practice for.

Newest addition to the Gunsafe
I already own a Satin Nickel version of this pistol. I've had it since the early 90's when Taurus first started becoming a big concern. For many year Taurus was considered less than optimal in it's quality, however my experience with their revolvers is very good. I have fired thousands of rounds of standard velocity and +P ammunition out of my personal Model 82 with no malfunctions except a few that were ammunition related.
Now saying that here are the photos of my newest acquisition.
This Model 82 was purchased from J&G Sales In Arizona. We, meaning myself and other family members chipped in and purchased 5 of these revolvers and used a special J&G had to order 250 rounds of 158 gr .38 Special ammunition with them. My pistol is the worst of the 5 revolvers. What looks like the reflection of the flash in the photos is actually holster wear. This is the second time I've purchased from J&G and their service is quite good as it was the first time I purchased from them, which was my Tokarevs.
The cylinder chambers were very clean with no signs of pitting or corrosion in them.
You can see on the right hand side plate where the department identifier was removed from the pistol.
The bore was bright and shiny even after I scrubbed it out, and it was clean when I received it.
The lanyard ring is very firmly attached and swivels a full 360 degrees. When I pulled the grips off to see if I could remove the lanyard I cannot. There is a press fit pin on the inside that looks like it also has a pin through it to prevent it's removal. I'm not sure how the lanyard ring will work with how I shoot, but my other family members like the idea of the lanyard especially how I explained their use to them.
The pistol has been used as a police issue weapon as such it has some dings and dents and other issues. However I could see no issues other than cosmetic with this revolver.
The sights are similar to the S&W Model 10HB, a slot cut into the top strap with a ramp front. The top strap and top of the barrel are grooved to cut down on reflections which might interfere with sight acquisition just like my first Model 82 and over the years I've had no problems with sight acquisition. If this one shoots as well as my first pistol I will be happy as a clam. Now my definition of acceptable accuracy is 18 rounds inside of a 10" pie pan at 7 yards. Others may think this is unacceptable, but for me that is center mass in actual gunfight range, so that is my standard.
I'll be running some rounds through this in a week or so and I'll see how it shoots.

Corpus Christi, Tx. –On Thursday March 8th at 2:00 P.M., the ‘Pinta’ and the ‘Nina’, replicas of Columbus’ ships will arrive in Corpus Christi.. The ships will be docked at the Barge Dock, adjacent to the Art Museum, near the Municipal Marina, 400 A North Shoreline Blvd., until their departure early Monday morning March 19th.
The media are invited to a private viewing of the ships on Thursday after docking. The ships open to the general public on Friday March 9th. The Nina was built by hand and without the use of power tools and considered to be the most historically correct Columbus Replica ever built. The Pinta was recently built in Brazil and is a larger version of the archetypal caravel. Historians consider the caravel the Space Shuttle of the fifteenth century.
While in port, the general public are invited to visit the ships for a walk-aboard, self-guided tour. Admission charges are $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, and $6.00 for students 5 – 16. Children 4 and under are Free. The ships are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No reservations necessary.

For those wondering about the Discussion - updated
I was having on my brothers FB page I screen shot it and edited to protect the ID's of the users. Posted below.
The very last response is my brothers, where he "Closes" the thread. According to him my argument "does not hold water." You can tell my responses as the ones that get rather long and detailed. I put forth the information and rather than telling them to take my word for it, I tell them to look it up for themselves. My brother realizes that if his "Friends" do look it up for themselves, they will likely find out just how they have been hornswoggled, hmm is it hornswoggled or hornswaggled? Back to the issue. You can see how a dyed in the wool liberal refutes a logical argument. They end the discussion. Because they "KNOW" that the truth, if it is believed, will put their whole argument to the lie. And the Inconvenient Truth here, isn't a slanted propaganda movie. It really is the Truth.

I find it amazing that you would close discussion when I tell people to disbelieve the government and the media and to look up the facts for themselves. Rather narrow minded isn't it? The first link is to video of Steven Chu, the current Secretary of Energy for the Obama Administration admitting that the administration isn't trying to reduce gas prices. The second link is to a graph and time line of gas prices. You can change the timeline settings back several years to see how much gas cost during Bush's term versus during Obama's term. I think my brothers action prove the points I made in my rebuttal. Unfortunately he and many of his friends think the same way.

I was just having a Facebook discussion about this
on my older brothers FB page. You have to be aware though, my older brother is a dyed in the wool Obama Liberal, and the facts don't matter to his preconceptions. According to him it's all the big banks causing fuel prices to rise because of the value of the dollar. He doesn't take in to account the cost of EPA Regulations on refineries, or the different types of oils which can currently only be refined in certain refineries. However I digress. Reloaders a question
I am looking for one powder which can be used for most if not all of my reloading needs. I don't want to have multiple powders sitting on the shelf. I want one at max two powders to be used for all of my reloading needs.
Now the calibers I will be reloading for:
.38 Special this is the majority caliber with some .357 Magnum
.45 ACP I shoot standard FMJ's with some JHP's from time to time
20 ga.
12 ga.
7.62X39
7.62X51
I know that many people who do a lot of reloading that I cannot use just one or two powders to reload all of these. I want to stock at most 2 powders, but I'd prefer to stock just one. I think it's bad enough I'll have to stock 3 or 4 different types of primers. I want to make this as clutter free as possible.
NOTE: I will be using Lee Loaders for these calibers, not a press. Yes I know a press is affordable, yes I know it would save time. I know all that already. Saying that I will still be using plain jane Lee Loaders. Yes even for the 12 ga and 20 ga I will be using old fashioned loaders and a roll crimper. I am looking for minimal foot print and storage.
UPDATE: Commenter Steve, over at Uncle's says - "I could be misjudging the guy but based on what is in that one post I’d say that he lacks sufficient committment to be making little bombs that will be exploding inches in front of his face. I’m not going to help him blow himself up."
Ummmm, No. I have reloaded .303 British and 12 gauge in the past. the .303 with a Lee Hand Press the 12 ga. with simple hand tools. I want a minimalist reloading setup. That is one of the reasons I intend on using Lee Loaders for each caliber. It's hard to screw things up when you are only loading 1 full cartidge every 2 minutes. I just don't want to have multiple powders taking up room in my limited space. Also I want reduced costs, 1 or 2 powders for all calibers instead of a different types of powder for each. I want to be able to put all of my reloading equipment and supplies in in 1 of my rubbermaid totes so I can take it to the range with me if I want. Lets face it a reloading bench with multiple sets of dies, and powders is hard to move easily. A complete set of Lee Loaders and shotgun loading tools for all of the calibers I shoot, takes up a little less space than a shoe box for a pair of work boots. Add in the powder and primers in separate ammo cans and there is a complete reloading setup which is portable, light weight and easy to use. The ammo cans I use to store the powder(s) and primers weigh more than the rest.
Now from the comments Robb, I don't intend on using hot loads. My kids, and other family members who are not used to shooting will be using these reloads. I want standard velocity if not slightly under standard loadings. As long as they shoot properly within tolerance, accurately and allow the firearms to operate reliably, that is my concern. Jumpthestack and Chaplin Tim Thank you about the Unique, I'll start looking into loads for the pistols and the shotguns using it. Now I just need to find a powder for the rifles.

Fasting
I am fasting at the moment. In the morning I need to present myself to the local lab for various blood draws, urinate in the little cup and other assorted indignities. My Dr is concerned since I've lost 42 pounds since last year and I haven't been on a diet. However diabetes does run in my family. However again, I believe the answer is very simple. When you are in pain, you don't eat. As a sufferer of several herniated discs in my neck, middle and lower back I am in moderate to severe pain at all times. Therefore, I've gone days with just drinking water and diet coke and eating saltines to stave off hunger pangs. It's not too hard to understand. However in the a.m. I will start the process to determine if that is, in fact the case. I think afterward if Taco Bell is open I'll go pig out on a few 5 layer burritos.
I feel that conflict is coming
A major conflict. A world changing conflict. A conflict that will change everyone's lives and not for the better. Read the news with what is happening in the middle east, Washington D.C., our country's schools. And you start looking around for the little handbasket.
I am going to post some links here. A few of them are posted over on the side bar under Special links. These are sites I recommend you go to and read up on how to prepare your homes and families for what I pray is NOT coming in the near future. However to be completely honest, I feel that with the current political situation, coupled with person and businesses taking cruel advantage of the so-called "End of the Mayan Calendar", things are going to go sideways in a hurry. For the record. I DO NOT believe this end of the world theory borne out by the "Maya" calendar or Nostradamus or any other "Prophecy" There are many people who do however. And in their haste they could create a self-fulfilling prophecy. and THAT is what I am concerned about. Also for the record. I have been involved with Emergency Preparedness since the late 1980's, back when people who tried to prepare for natural disasters were labeled "Evil Survivalist's" I am not a Survivalist. I am a realist. Natural Disasters happen. Wars happen, Terrorism happens and losing your job or the collapse of the financial markets happen. I'd like to have my family prepared so that when one of the above DOES happen, I can feed my family good food, clothe them in clean clothing, and be sure that we are still able to live mostly as we do before an incident happens. The people of Occupy Wall Street would call me a 1 percenter because I don't intend to wait on charity or the government to come along and hold my hand like many residents of New Orleans did after Katrina. Sorry, but I'd rather help myself. That way if something goes wrong, I know who to blame. ME.

I just went through my various bookmarks and I have over 100 sites that I browse for information. these are just a few. I realize that many are for a low technology lifestyle in case of a Major disruption. However I honestly believe that with our current situation, it may actually come to that. I pray it doesn't, however as the saying goes, "Pray for the best, Prepare for the worst."

Interesting search term
Shotgun on top with 22 on bottom.
Honestly I don't know of any firearm like that. Most combo guns will have the shotgun barrel on the bottom with the rifle barrel on top. I point you towards the Savage Model 24, the Springfield M6 Scout and I've seen a Belgium made gun, not a FN gun, that has a .22 on top and a .410 below but for the life of me I cannot remember who made it. It's been over 20 years since I've seen it. If you don't need it to be a double barrel there is the Rossi Matched Pair rifle shotgun combo of which I have one with a 20 ga barrel and a .22 barrel. I paid $169.99 for it brand new with a black nylon carrying case. My kids and I enjoy shooting it. If you go to the link I put in for the Savage it will show you about combo guns with multiple barrel configurations. But I personally don't know about them other than what I have posted plus I many years ago shot a Drilling which they talk about in the Combination Gun entry on Wikipedia. The one I shot had British makers and proof marks and was an S/S .450 Nitro with a .303 British underneath. I loved that gun, but the recoil with the .450 Nitro was a bit stiff for me.

Quit tracking me.
Quit trying to target adds to me based on my browsing.
Quit making your privacy policies so obtuse and convoluted that I need 2 lawyers to check over them and another lawyer to check them.
Quit keeping my search term entries and try to generate some more money by sending me targeted adds.
Quit trying to slip a tracking cookie into my system, even though you say it contain none of my personal identity stuff stop it.
In short what I do is "MY" business. NOT yours.
I shouldn't need to use multiple add ons in Firefox to block your cookies and tracking objects. I shouldn't have to clear my cache every 30 minutes to be sure you cannot track me. Just STOP IT!
You have no reason to be trying to track what I do or where I go on the internet. If I want to buy something I'll search for then. Your targeted adds do nothing except annoy the heck out of me.
I am a writer, therefore I will at times look for things while making no sense to other people are pertinent to what I am doing. So quit sending me adds for sex bondage gear when I try to find a picture of a "Slave Collar" which I had to go through 7 pages to find a picture of a slave collar used on slaves before the civil war. I don't want nor need adds for PVC Vacuum Bondage. I shouldn't have to sign out of my account to search for something related to a story I'm trying to write because you are trying to be "Helpful" and make a buck. Your Opt-out policy is very obtuse and no matter how many times I try to opt out your system tries to set ANOTHER cookie on my computer. NO! NO! NO!
You don't need to shove a cookie down my computers throat for me to be able to "Opt-out" You need to change your policy to an "Opt-in" you can tell me about a service you have and if I want it I can click a link. They put in something without "Telling" or "Asking" if they could do it.
Also how about making it so when we have a problem I don't have to spend hour upon hours trying to get in contact with a REAL person?
Someone hacked my Yahoo Account about 3 years ago. It took me a WEEK to get to speak to a real LIVE person to answer the security question to get my account back. Why did it take that long? Yahoo asked for the answer to a security question but wouldn't let me know what the question was. I'm sorry, I have over a dozen different accounts all with different information and security questions. It took getting a tech support person on the phone to ask me the security questions before I could get my account back. Why did it take me actually contacting the California Secretary of State to get a real phone number answered by a real human being?
And you people wonder why users don't trust you?
Try getting ahold of your own tech support without using your internal directory.

Dining in St. Louis
For those bloggers going to the NRA Convention, there are some very good restaurants within walking distance of the convention center. I'll post the ones that I have personal knowledge of.
Mike Shannons is just 4 blocks south of the convention center across from Kiener Plaza
Ruth's Chris Steak House 315 Chestnut St you can see the Riverfront, the Arch and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Just north of which is the Riverfront shopping district a series of shops and restaurants and a few taverns/nightclubs. there is also another Metrolink station inside of Eads Bridge, which you can ride back out to the airport hotels.
There are quite a few smaller dining establishments all around the downtown area within easy walking distance of the convention center, but those 2 I have very personal experience with.
I asked my kid brother the Chef who still lives in St. Louis for recommendations and his list is the same as mine. Mike Shannon's and Ruth's Chris.
Now if you don't mind a little walk, you can take the Metrolink to the Delmar Loop in University City/Central West End, and walk about 1/4 mile west to Cicero's. they have moved since I was last in St. Louis, but they only moved a block east and now take up almost a full block of the one side of Delmar. They have great Italian food/Pizza, a good bar and on most weekends great live music. Just be sure to leave before the last metrolink train runs or call a cab. Throughout the entire Delmar Loop/Central West End area are literally dozens and dozens of good restaurants, pubs, nightclubs and bars.
If you are planning on doing some sight-seeing while you are in St. Louis, I recommend seeing The City Museumwhich is within walking distance of the convention center, but it's about a 20-30 minute walk. There is a charge for The City Museum. Just a few blocks over from The City Museum is the St. Louis Veterans Memorial, I recommend looking in. If you have a car I recommend going out to Forest Park and seeing The Science Center and the St. Louis Zoo. They are both free, but do have exhibits which are fee based. Also while in Forest Park, you can go to the Natural History Museum, also free with some paid exhibits and the St. Louis Art Museum, Free with paid exhibits.
If you'd like some night life, there are the casinos out on the Missouri river with the WestPort/Riverport area, there used to be a shuttle from the downtown hotels out there, I don't know if there still is. They do have some nice shows and restaurants at the casinos though.

For those going to the NRA Convention
A piece of advice. DO NOT GET A HOTEL ROOM IN THE CITY. Get one out in the county by the airport and take the Metrolink to the Convention center. The metrolink will let you off less than 20 yards from the convention center. It is safer, and you won't have to pay the St. Louis city hotel room tax. Most of the hotels by the airport have a free shuttle which will take you to and from the airport metrolink station and the airport main or east terminal. Also if you want to know a few good places to get grub there in St. Louis drop a comment or an e-mail to me, and I'll be glad to expound on it. I do know the JayG and LawDog are going, so if you are a blogger and are going to convention and wish to ask a few questions about St. Loo please ask. I have no sympathy for this girl or her parents
Hooked on chicken nuggets: Girl, 17, who has eaten nothing else since age TWO rushed to hospital after collapsing
Ever since she was a toddler, Stacey Irvine has eaten little else but chicken nuggets and the occasional portion of chips.
Now, at the age of 17, she has been warned by doctors to change her appalling diet or die.The factory worker – who says she has never tasted fresh fruit or vegetables – had to be taken to hospital earlier this week when she collapsed after struggling to breathe.
Her poor suffering mother has stated that she has "tried" to get her daughter to eat healthy, but she won't. Her other two children do eat a varied diet, it doesn't say what, but I hope their diets are more healthy. What I find myself asking on this, is just WHO? is the parent? My kids have tried that little game on me, where they would refuse to eat something and 2 of my kids actually figured out how to make themselves regurgitate on demand. That stopped after I made them eat what they spewed. If this girl was one of my children she would have a choice, eat what every other member of this family eats, or you don't eat. Period, End of Discussion. I don't blame this girl if you want to be brutally honest. I blame the mother. She allowed this child to defy her without any fear of discipline or punishment, and now the girl has come close to dying. And she STILL seems to want to continue with her self destructive diet. This girl needs a severe criticism session on her butt before she kills herself.
And to top if off, according to the Yahoo story, people are blaming McDonalds for this girls stupidity. Why is no one castigating this girls for her own actions? No, it's the BIG Corporations fault, that this girl only ate McNuggets. Wha?!!? Correct me if I am wrong, but if I decide to do something stupid, like drive drunk. And I get hurt, injured or something like that. Whose fault is it? The manufacturer of the car I was driving? The manufacturer of alcohol I was consuming? The Bar where I consumed it? The gas station who sold me gasoline? NO! It's MY fault, for being so stupid as to do that. That is what is called personal responsibility. And this girl and her mother have none. Do what you want and accept no consequences for your actions. that has become the new personal mantra. Only it isn't that new. Allow me to direct your attention to this phrase. "Do What Thou Wilt." I will let you look up the reference yourself. A phrase who defined the life of one of the worlds ultimate hedonist has evidently been making a come back under a new guise.

Re reading a good series
If you like Lois McMaster Bujold's Vokosigan Saga and David Weber's Honor Harrington Series or even Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Pern you will like Elizabeth Moon's Vatta's War Series. I am currently rereading the entire series, and I find myself lost in my imagination. Placing myself in the story, and thinking "What would I do if I was in that situation?" I find it a very enjoyable read, and I also recommend her Familias Regnant series of books as well. You can find all of her books available on Amazon.com, NOTE, I am not an Amazon affiliate, I do not get a commission. I just really enjoy good books.

Your hunting rifle is now a sniper rifle

FALL RIVER, M.A (WPRI) - A local man is arrested after police seize a stash of weapons from a Fall River home.
Police were called to an apartment on North Main Street Tuesday night for reports of a man heavily armed with weapons.
Once inside, police discovered a loaded handgun and shotgun, a sniper rifle and semi-automatic rifle, and more than 600 rounds of ammunition.
Police arrested Colin Kenny, 23, for assault and various weapons charges.
Take note of this Hunters who say that it is ONLY others peoples guns that are dangerous. So when you throw other gun owners under the bus, remember your guns can be classified whichever way the politicians want as well.

1911A1 Longslide question
Does anyone make a kit or know where I can get parts to convert my Norinco 1911A1 to a 6" Longslide? I want to be able to switch between the 5" and the 6" without having to do a bunch of hand fitting.

Lucky Gunner Ammo Test
Well It took me a while but I finally got to test the .45 ACP Fiocchi ammo that Heidi at Luckygunner.com sent me.
They sent me a box of 230 gr FMJ .45 ACP for me to test with my Norinco 1911A1.. I enjoyed testing the ammunition against my Winchester White Box 230 gr FMJ .45 ACP, I had some photos however the SD card in my camera is messed up, so I was not able to recover the photos.
However I do have some results to share.
Control: Winchester Whitebox
shooting 2, 7 round strings at 15 feet. Average groups size 4 1/2 inches with 1 flyer bringing the groups to 6 inches.
No failures to feed or fire, 1 failure to eject which was quickly cleared and resume firing.
Penetration shooting into 3 liter soda bottles filled with water lined up in a row.
Winchester Whitebox penetrated 4 slug exiting bottle #4 at an angle
Second round penetrated 5 bottles and slug was in fifth bottle hardly deformed.
Third round penetrated 3 bottles and took off for parts unknown.
Power test filled a 2 liter bottle with dirt and place it on top of a stand to see if the bullet has enough force to knock the bottle down or off the stand.
Winchester Whitebox 3 rounds all 3 knocked the bottle over and off the stand.
No further FTF, Fire or Eject.
Cleaned Pistol to start fresh.
Fiocchi Ammo
2, 7 round strings at 15 feet, average groups size 4 1/4 inches with 2 flyers bringing the groups to 5 3/4 inches. No failures to feed, fire or eject
Penetration: 1st round penetrated 2 bottles and took off for parts unknown.
Second round penetrated 4 bottles and ruptured the fifth, slug in 4th bottle, also first failure to eject. Cleared pistol for next round.
Third round penetrated 5 bottles and was recovered in the 5th bottle. It could almost be reloaded and used again.
Power: 1st round knocked the bottle completely off the stand and split the bottle.
Second round knocked the bottle over and almost off the stand.
Third round split the bottle but did not knock it over. Shell stove piped, cleared the jam and fired a 4th power test which knocked the bottle off the stand.
I shot the rest of the round off at various targets, such as monster energy drinks cans filled with water. Without fail the Fiocchi shredded the cans. The 5 gallon bucket filled with water took a full magazine the final round stove piped.
It's the first time I've fired the Fiocchi Ammunition, and I will say that I like it. The recoil seems to be a little more than the Winchester Whitebox, but it is very manageable. The 2 stove pipes I honestly think are my fault as I wasn't holding the pistol tightly enough.
I hope that I get a chance to test some more of the Fiocchi Ammo. It is accurate and seems to me to be just a little bit hotter than the Winchester Ammo. It did seems to leave my pistol a little bit cleaner than the Winchester, I didn't have that much powder residue on my slide like I do with the Winchester Ammo.

Veterans Day is very special to me
This is the reason why. This is my youngest daughter Megan. Is the picture below it was her 8th birthday. Let me show you how my little angel has grown.
This picture was taken over spring break earlier this year.
This picture was taken over the summer on a trip to St. Louis Missouri. We were at the St. Louis Zoo.
This picture was taken a few weeks ago at the final Cross Country race for her school.
And this one I just took a few minutes before starting this post.
My little Angel is becoming a very beautiful young lady. This is one of the reasons Veterans Day is important to me. The honoring of our servicemen and women, the honoring of all who have served. And because God gave me a beautiful daughter.
I need to buy more guns now. And a bunch of boys had better stay away. :)

Excuse me Mr. President, how is this supposed to help your constituents? You know Real Americans? The ones who are trying to put food on the family table, pay their bills and you know, live? How can higher prices for fuel help me? I have 7 children and I can barely afford to cover all of their necessary expenses now. I just had to pay 160.00 to get my daughters flute fixed, oh the flute is a luxury? Not to her and not to me. That flute and her skillful playing of it might just help her get a scholarship for her to go to a school I can in no way afford. However the trip to the music store to pick it up cost me almost $20.00 in gas. That same amount of gas before you came to office cost me $12.00 That is an $8.00 difference. $8.00 is enough to buy dinner for myself and all 7 of my children. Or it was before food costs started going up because of increased fuel costs. So now a meal for myself and my kids costs almost $13.00. Another $5.00 taken out of my budget. Mr. President do you really even care about the average people? Or was that just a campaign slogan? You constantly talk about helping the disadvantaged people, well here I am I am disadvantaged. I am disabled through no fault of my own. I have steel plates in my back from a fall at work, I have a lot of nerve damage, I have since herniated 2 more discs in my back and neck because I seem to keep falling down, since my balance has gone to hell since my surgery. My work-comp case has been on-going since 2004 and still has not gone to court. Yes that's right, 7 years going on 8 come next february, and I am still fighting the insurance company and the work comp division. I'm not rich, I'm not one of the 99%. I was a person who worked 40-50 hours a week at a job I enjoyed, that paid all of my bills, put food on my family's table, clothes on my children's back and a little extra in my pocket. And ever day you futz around and dither makes my costs on everything go up. Which means I have less and less available to provide for my children. And "YOU" blame me and people like me for problems "YOU" and "YOUR" minions and "YOUR" policies have created and continue to create. You're right. There is a problem in America. And you are the one causing it.

I forgot to post
Here are 5 of my kids plus a friends nephew trick or treating monday night. My 4 boys are wearing space armor that I made for them, the 3 youngest are also wearing helmets that we made for them.
My daughter Megan made her wings I just had to bend the coat hangers to give them support. The boys weapons are homemade as well except for Matthews Nerf Gun.
