I've written before about just how fragile and how easy it is for there to be a major epidemic not just in our nation, but worldwide.

Ebola is carried by fruit bats and pigs. Can it be transmitted by mosquitoes?
There are many viruses and parasites that can be transmitted by mosquito bites. Who is to say it might not be possible to transmit Ebola that way? With our porous border and thousands of unscreened people getting in to our country that just puts us more at risk of an outbreak.
Can we prevent it? Yes, but the politicians in D.C. have to want to do so. Instead we have a leadership that is exploiting our border problems for political gain. Disregarding the possibility that we could have a major outbreak of many communicable diseases.
What do they care? All they will do is blame the Republican party, and the media will support that.
