The Death Spasm's of OPEC and the Rise of American Energy Independence.

"It isn’t often you see the death of a major worldwide industry. Last week I saw the death of the “Big Oil” economic model. It just died at the hands of Texas oil frackers who have developed a new “disruptive technology” that has made obsolete all the pillars of technology underpinning large, vertically integrated oil companies. More importantly, the same is true of all the petro-states that nationalized Big Oil’s assets in the 1960s to make all the state oil companies around the world today.

I found this out doing my day job last week as a Defense Department quality auditor visiting a mid-sized oil service company diversifying into federal contracts. The meeting was about issues with the contract they won and touched on others they have bid on. As a side bar at lunch the following points about their main business came up:

1. Oil field spending has died. Rig count in the USA is the lowest it has been since 1940.

2. One oil rig controller company these folks worked with saw a year over year drop of 72% in its business.

3. Another company they supplied had their “Cap-X” budget drop from ~$400 million for 2015-2016 to little over $30 million for 2016-2017.

4. One drilling company they supplied went from 120(+) new wells last year to _12_ this year.

5. This supplier sold a lot of copper tubing for “frack-log” drilling. That is the drilling of holes in good oil-bearing rock without fracking rock for oil immediately — and here is the new part — to take advantage of a new long-flow fracking technique.

While most of the points above are due to the Saudis’ oil price war on Texas frackers. An ex-Big Oil geologist I know put it this way —

The entire reason for the price drop was because the Saudis wanted to destroy fracking in the United States in order to keep us dependent upon them in order to keep them getting a free defense. The Saudis will have to diversify and start spending money on defense before the price goes back up, or they will be in serious trouble.

The technique in Point #5 above marks another “fracking revolution” that is of growing importance to the USA. This new fracking energy revolution will upend the world order as we know it. Political winds willing, America may well be a net hydrocarbon exporter in five to eight years."

What this means, is that the possibility that America, might be able to knock down the influence of not only Saudi Arabia, Russia and China, but also, Iran and it's proxies ie: ISIS

If the US can dominate the Oil Markets and Dictate the price of a barrel of oil, America can make it so Iran, Saudi Russia China and all the other rabble rousing countries can't AFFORD to bankroll their proxies anymore.

ISIS IS 49 of 50 States

There are supposedly 2 Obviously Known, and over a dozen possible ISIS/Islamic Training camps just here in Texas.

According to a local LEO, they have found Koran's, Urdu-English dictionaries, AK-47 Magazines that have residue of explosives on them, the bodies of 3 possible terrorists who had been hastily buried, and CBP has been told to report them as hispanic's and buried in unmarked graves with actual hispanics who have died coming into this country illegally.  Even though all three bodies had obvious gunshot wounds, they are not to be investigated, just quickly buried.  According the LEO I talk to a few times a week, there are many things being found that they are told to "Not Report" and to ignore them, instead of logging them in.  He would not go into specifics, but you know where you ask someone a question they can't answer but they sorta do anyway through body language?  Yeah, we had that conversation.

Things I'm understanding they are finding but not allowed to "Officially" report.

Dead bodies of Obvious Middle Eastern Males.  Several bodies with obvious gunshot wounds.  One was found in the dumpster of a truckstop and NEVER made the news.

Any Mid Eastern Language to English Dictionaries

Any Obvious signs of weapons being smuggled INTO this country.  Like a safety cap to an RPG round.  (Which he really gave me the BIG Stink eye for asking)  Empty and Full magazines for AK's, a backpack that may or may not have had 3, 1 kilo blocks of what MAY or may NOT have been Semtex and over a dozen blasting caps for same, in it.  A Map with directions written on it on how to get to a certain "Camp" known to be owned by Muslims of America, said directions written in Urdu, and another Map with similar instructions written in Farsi.

Also there have been reports of Truck Trailers that had been broken into and someone hitching rides in them.  Several someones.  And they left containers filled with urine and feces in the trailers.  But that never makes the news either.

And there was other stuff he flat out would NOT discuss.  We had to cut our conversation short and he had to go back on patrol, as other LEO's had come into the restaurant, and he didn't want to be seen with me.

One of these days I'll get my voice changer fixed and he might let me actually bring a recorder and do an actual interview with his voice disguised so he doesn't lose his job.

His biggest fear is that he and everyone in his sector have been told that if they talk to the media they will not only lose their jobs, they will be prosecuted and go to prison.  He doesn't want either of those to happen, but he is very much afraid that we are about to see another 9/11 and he and his fellow LEO's will be blamed.

And yet according to the willingly oblivious in D.C. there is no problem on our border and it is secure.

Are they Oblivious, or are they Accomplices?

I've been sitting here looking at the screen for over an hour trying to decide whether to post this or not.  Are people going to think I'm crazy and some conspiracy nut?  Or are they going to read it and actually do their own research?

Well I'm going to hit the publish button.  Make your own determination, but try to do some real research, please.

Read the story he links to then read what he has written. Please do it in that order. Read the link first, then read his post.

And then seriously think about your responsibilities if you carry a firearm.

Our Infrastructure Data Integrity is safe - NOT!

"A hacker compromised a U.S. Army database that holds sensitive information about vulnerabilities in U.S. dams, according to a news report.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ National Inventory of Dams contains information about 79,000 dams throughout the country and tracks such information as the number of estimated deaths that could occur if a specific dam failed. It’s accessible to government employees who have accounts. Non-government users can query the database but cannot download data from it.

The breach began in January and was only uncovered in early April, according to the Free Beacon, a nonprofit online publication, which first published the news."

So the C.O.E. had a data breach.  On something that actually quite terrifies me.  Have you ever lived underneath or down stream of a Dam?  I have.  I used to live just down stream of the Dams at Clearwater Lake and Lake Wappapello, back in the late 90's.  I remember driving home to Piedmont from my job in St. Louis 140 miles away and crossing the bridge over the St. Francois River on 34 literally 10 minutes before the state closed the road, and I had to run 80 miles out of my way to get back to St. Louis.  However the county was testing the sirens and emergency evac plan in case Clearwater Dam breached, and Wappapello Dam was in divert mode because the Black River was at near record levels.  A dam failing is what is known as a "Bad" thing.

Here is a vid and links to info about the Teton Dam failure that took 14 lives and caused almost 1 Billion dollars in damage.

Teton Dam Failure (University of California Santa Barbara Link)

Teton Dam (Wikipedia)

Dam Failure (Wikipedia entry with list of Dam Failures)

Just check out some of those links and there attendant sub links.  You can see why the thought of a Dam Failure terrifies me.  And there was just a security failure where information about all of the Dams in the United States is located.  That scares me even more than the idea of being under a failing Dam.  Because now we don't know if the person who accessed the information is just someone who really likes Dam's (And those people exist, many years ago I met a man and his wife both retired engineers who spent their retirement driving their RV around to all the Dams in the US and taking pictures of them and the wildlife around them) or if it is someone with ill intentions.  And if you have ever seen Force 10 from Navarone, or if you were in the Armed Forces, you realize just how fragile our Dams actually are.  So the idea that any detailed info on them is now out in the wild so to speak is one more thing to add to the little box of fears I think everyone has.

Some people will read this and scoff at the idea that I'm blowing this out of proportion.  Can you honestly look around you with everything that is happening in our world today and say that the possibility of some type of attack on our various infrastructure such as Dams is 100% TOTALLY impossible?

Can you?

IED's on our southern border

Check your local and national news. Check the cable news channels. Are they discussing the following stories?

Story #1

"Federal law enforcement agents in San Diego arrested 60 people in connection with an Iraqi criminal ring with ties to Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa drug cartel.

The gang is accused of selling drugs, machine guns and improvised bombs (IEDs) out of a social club for Iraqi immigrants in El Cajon, Calif., a city of more than 90,000 located near the Mexican border."

Story #2
"Using IEDs to try to attack targets in the U.S. is something many law enforcement officials know all too well.

“The threat is indeed real. IED attacks been attempted multiple times in New York City already,” Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne told POLITICO."

Story #3
"Improvised explosive devices have claimed the lives and limbs of thousands of American soldiers across Iraq and Afghanistan.

And now officials say the devilish devices are posing a growing threat across Texas and the United States."

I live a few hours from the Texas-Mexico Border I am a HAM Radio Operator and I listen to a scanner constantly. I have been hearing many things on the US Military frequencies, and also on the various Law Enforcement frequencies for months. Things which worry me. Things which are NOT being broadcast on the news or printed by the newspapers. I know that the Coast Guard and the Navy have increased their patrols between Brownsville and Galveston. I know that there are more Military aircraft patrolling the Gulf, most of them have MAD gear on them. I know that there are more ASW craft in the Gulf right now than there have been in the last 5 years. I know there is a LOT more encrypted radio traffic going on in the area now than I have heard in the last few years, much of it on the Federal or Military frequencies. And using a homebrew scanner antenna that most of the signals are coming from the Gulf, I traced the strongest signal on my map and they are about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile east of South Padre Island about 15 to 25 miles north of Brownsville. That was taken over the weekend, using a lenstatic compass to shoot the azimuth from the antenna, then using google earth to follow it out adding in the perceived signal strength, which was hitting me about 5 bars out of 12. Not totally sure if my distance is correct but it's a somewhat educated guesstimate.

What aren't we being told? And who decided not to tell us? And why isn't the media screaming about the secrecy?
