Obummer is pandering to his base again

Now when his polling numbers are down and he knows he is in trouble with the GLBT members of his base, Obummer FINALLY says that he supports same sex marriage.  And I can guarantee you, he will use this now as a hammer against conservatives and republicans.  He will say, "The Republicans and Conservatives and the Tea Party won't help push for the agenda of same sex marriage.  It's all the fault of them, that legislation cannot be passed."  Watch it, he will do this.  Because now, as his poll number decrease, as his campaign coffers empty from less and less donations and contributions, he is starting to realize, JUST how badly he has alienated much of his base.  For 3 and a half years he has done nothing to put forward the cause of same sex marriage.  And now when his re-election campaign is in trouble, it is suddenly an issue.  Where was his concern when he held a super majority in both houses of congress?  Why is it now when he and his political backers know they run a very real risk of losing not just the Presidency, but the Senate, to go with their loss of the House of Representatives?

It's a shell game.

You know the game street performers do?  Keep your eye on the ball and remember where it is as they misdirect your attention elsewhere.  Now where is the ball?  99% of the time you choose wrong.  Amazing that....  99%  Hmmmm that sounds almost familiar......  Where have I heard that before?

Ahhh that's right. the Occupy Movement and their 99% versus the 1%. The same idiots who were created by the Democratic Party, as the Liberal Left version of the Tea Party.

It's not real, it's just another distraction.

Just something else to distract people from what is really going on in Washington D.C.

Obummer doesn't really care about GLBT or same sex marriage.

All he cares about is his and his party's own personal power.  And he and they will use whatever they can to continue to hold on to the power they have stolen through illegal, unconstitutional means.  To them the Constitution is something to be subverted, unless it's words and meaning can be twisted and misconstrued to help them achieve their goals.

Obummer has already been threatening the final arbiters of the Constitution.  the United States Supreme court.  Several times he has made comments about "Judicial Activism" and the Obama Care needs to be upheld OR ELSE.

Or else what, Mr Obummer?

What other illegal unconstitutional act will you do next, to enforce your will on the Supreme Court and the country?

Can we run down the list of what you've already done?

Stacked the Voting Rights section of the DOJ with your believers.

Took control of over 30% of the economy through increased regulation and federal stimulus money stolen from tax payers and paid out to your supporters.

Attempting to take control of the entire healthcare industry through your so called "Affordable Care Act" which looks like the Supreme Court will find unconstitutional despite your threats.

Destroyed any gains the lives of our servicemen and women and gotten us in the war on terror, through your cowardly actions and inactions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Egypt and other places.

I don't know if it's because you really are stupid, or if your ego is so great you think it's wise and honorable to undercut, defame and allow the destruction of our allies such as Israel, Turkey and the countries we have a missile defense pact with.

More than tripled the national deficit, that took over 200 years to get to where it was before you even took office.  And you tripled it in 3.5 years.

Allowed the National Deficit to exceed the GDP of the country.

I can keep typing for another hour at least, and I STILL wouldn't be able to catalog all the idiocy, you and your party has inflicted up on this country.

And you want ANOTHER term of 4 years?  So you can "Finish the job."  What job?  Totally destroying the country and everything it stands for?

And here you sit on national TV FINALLY saying that you support same sex marriage.

Mr. Obummer, you and I, and a whole bunch of other people know, that the only reason Same Sex marriage FAILED in California is because a LOT of YOUR base voted against it.

I won't say who they were, because I don't wish to be called racist.  But the facts speak for themselves.  And right now your main base is leaving you, so you are throwing out a Hail Mary pass hoping that GLBT members of your base will salvage your campaign.

Well I have news for you.  Many of the GLBT members of your base are, excuse my language please, but there is no polite way to say this.  The are sick of YOUR SHIT! to put up with you anymore.

And I'm quite sure that many of them realize that you are throwing this Hail Mary.  And many of your intended receivers, I'm quite sure they have already decided to stay on the bench as they can't tell the difference between you and the Republicans.

I apologize for my intemperate language.  There is just no other way to get the message across with the intensity needed.

Is anyone else having problems connecting to

conservative web sites?  As of 7:21 Central time this morning out of 17 different sites I have been trying to connect to, including several I'm trying to connect to through Instapundit and my blogroll, I have only been able to load 5 sites.  Does anyone else have this problem?

George Lindsey has died

Many won't recognize him by that name though.  He was known by one of the greatest characters he played.  Goober Pyle, of the Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry R.F.D, and Hee Haw.  I know him as a Kemper Graduate and the Commencement Speaker of the 1985 Graduating Class of Kemper Military School and College, in Boonville, Missouri.

I was a student at Kemper at the time, and after the ceremonies he graciously made himself available to talk to everyone.  Including me.  The lady who was the barber for the school, took a picture of myself and Mr. Lindsey while he and I talked.  She told me that he and I had talked for over 20 minutes.  I remember very little of what we had talked about, but I felt very good that a famous actor would take the time to talk to a simple high school student.  I can remember to this day that he wore a plain blue suit and tie, that he walked and carried himself with what was called at Kemper, "Proper Military Stature", standing straight up, looking everyone in the face, courteous to a fault.  Thinking about that memory, I do remember one thing he told me.  And I do believe that it has helped me.  Mr. Lindsey told me this.

"Don't let anyone try to pigeon hole you, and make you less of who and what you are."

That is the only thing I really remember about our conversation.  I remember more about the girl I was trying to impress, the one who blew me off after I helped her get out of trouble.  Her, though?  I can't even remember her name, or what she looked like.  I just remember what a small person she was.

Mr. Lindsey on the other hand.  Well I do remember something he told me.  And I think it was because he saw how that young lady had just treated me.

Thank you Mr. Lindsey.  I wish I still had that photo of you and I standing next to the cannon and the flagpole talking.  You did impart some wisdom to a young man.

Lets try to see if we can identify the hands of bloggers and see if their hands reflect their lives. If you are not a blogger and just a reader, if you send me the pics also include a brief history of your hands. The types of labor they have performed, and scars and their stories. I'll start with mine.




My right hand has been broken more than 14 times, you can see how it swells out slightly. My index finger and pinky finger on it have each been broken a time or two. My left hand has only been broken twice. My left ring finger has been broken twice. The first time I had to get my wedding band cutoff my finger, after that I stopped wearing rings for many years. And my thumb in a motorcycle accident. I have many scars from cuts and burns, from working on cars, getting into a fight with a knife wielding perp when working security. I had my left thumbnail ripped out when my hand slipped while working on a car with the engine running.



My left thumb doesn't bend all the way anymore, and my left index finger sometimes decides to not bend at all unless I make it. I have callouses from working on cars, guns and doing carpentry and other general things. Some mornings my arthritis is so bad I can't even open my hands and they are like claws at the ends of my arms useful only for swinging around until I can get them to function. My hands tell a story about me. About the life I've lead. there are a few things I wish hadn't happened, but I doubt I'd be the person I am today if they hadn't.

A look back on Civil Defense - The Start of Survivalism

A student enters an Honors class that has stringent rules.  He and his mother sign an agreement to abide by the rules of the class or face removal.  Guess what.  He violated the rules and was removed for cheating.  End of story.  Right?  Wrong!  Daddy files a lawsuit to get his child reinstated.  Read for yourself link below:

"A high school sophomore supposedly cheated on homework. He was kicked out of his honors English class, and his father doesn't deny the cheating occurred. But that's not where it ends; that's where it starts."

I'm sorry.... But if I screwed up like that, my father would first paddles my but and second he would tell me I made my bed so now I had to lie in it.How is this teaching this kid about personal responsibility?  Oh he screws up and mommy or daddy will fix it and make it go away......  Whaaaat?  That is what is wrong with our current society.  NO ONE is taking responsibility for their actions.  Look at Hollyweird  with all the famous actors and actresses and people famous for being famous.  A DUI here a DWI there, a drug charge over in that place.  Do they serve real time?  Do they actually get punished?  When people who aren't famous or rich who have lesser offenses receive anywhere from 4 to 50 times the punishment.  How is that fair?  How is that a properly functioning society? It isn't.  

That is one of the main things wrong with our society.....  It's always SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT!  Hey folks, if you screw up, stand up and take responsibility for it.  Don't expect everyone else to give you a pass as if your screw didn't exist.

What ever happened to proper discipline in schools?

When I was a kid, if I acted up in school, the principal could paddle me.  And she did several times.  Was I injured by it?  No.  My butt stung and I was embarrassed as heck.  But I wasn't harmed, and I knew not to do what had caused me to get the paddling in the first place, again.  In the story I link to below, a 6 year old student is arrested for kicking a teacher/principal.  If I had done that when I was a kid, I would have gotten a paddling at school, my parents would have been called to come to the school, where they would more than likely paddle my butt right there in the principals office.  And I wouldn't ever do that again.  This time though, the principal called the police.  Not the parents.  The police show up and cuff the child, who is now being charged with a crime.  Seriously?  You are going to charge a child with a crime for basically acting out because he doesn't get enough discipline?  If you would paddle the butt in the first place, you wouldn't need to call for the police.  On to the story:


"When a six-year-old boy kicked his school principal last week, the school called in police, not parents.


The student had already been suspended for kicking and biting another official, when he allegedly threatened a teacher and kicked Principal Pat Lumbley. This time, the child was placed in police custody and charged with battery and intimidation"

How is charging this child with a crime going to help the child learn to be a properly behaved, well adjusted member of society?   The first time junior did something hinky he should have had his read end warmed up, and his parents called.  If he still acted up, another paddling plus the parents and the student need to be sat down with a school counselor.  As I wrote above, Ms. Brown, my principal in elementary school warmed my butt with an oak paddle several times through my school years.  And you know what I never did what I was paddled for again.  I found something else to get a paddling for, but all in all, in 7 years of school there, I was only paddled 5 times.  When I got home however, I got paddled again plus had privileges taken away from me.  I think I turned out rather well.  My kids, when they screw up they do get paddled.  At most 4 swats depending on what they did.  I don't like doing it, however if I don't, the kids will think they got away with inappropriate behavior, and continue that behavior.  To the detriment of themselves and society at large.

And that is what most of the "Do Gooders" don't realize.  In order to have a polite, functioning society, people need discipline.  Both individual self, and external in the force of law and custom.  "Don't harm the childs ego or self esteem"  they say.  I say unless the child knows proper discipline he or she won't know how to live and operate in real society.  They will only know they can continue with ever escalating bad or inappropriate behavior, as the get no discipline or punishment for their behavior, they will continue to do it.

Yes the child need to be disciplined, however calling the police and taking him away to a juvenile facility does nothing but scare him and puts him in a place where he can preyed upon by older juveniles who have had more than just 1 or 2 brushes with the law.  So the school system needs to be removed from this equation, despite what their policies or regulations are.  The first call when this child did that, should have been to the parents.  If the parents couldn't or wouldn't come to the school to deal with their child, then I could see involving the local law enforcement.  For the school to jump straight to calling the police, is a frightening escalation, and it is becoming more and more of an everyday occurrence.

What are your thoughts?  Who should be called first?  The parents?  or the Cops? 

How is his bullying different from what he preaches?

Media Silent on outrage

The media is silent on the fact that over twice as many U.S. Servicemen and Women have been killed in Afghanistan in the 3.5 years of Obama leadership versus 8 years of Bush leadership.

During President Bush's term, each and every casualty was paraded about by the media as a condemnation of his leadership. Every wounded and injured soldier was interviewed and broadcast world wide. With the various MSM pundits blasting President Bush's leadership. Yet their own messiah more than doubles the number of casualties and all you hear is crickets. Where is the outrage you so called scions of the press? Where is the reporting? The media establishment is so far in the pocket of the liberal/left political machine, they are the new handkerchiefs of the politicians and special interest groups. Whiling away the day

There are very few games that you can find on line that I enjoy to play.  However Boomshine has beautiful music and a rather addicting chain reaction type of action that has me hooked.  Every level, you have 1 boom, you set off your boom to chain reaction the balls for their booms.  As I said the music of the game is very beautiful, and with each boom you set off you hear it as well.  Give it a try, just don't blame me if you get hooked on it as well.

This is a very good series by David Weber and John Ringo, and like my recommendation of reading The Road To Damascus, you will find parallels between the main protagonists and certain groups within our own country.  It's frightening to me, just how future psychic Sci-Fi writers have become.  It seems like they "know" something.  Those links are to free editions of the novels, if you like them you can purchase them directly from Baen.

Well, I won't say what I would do.  Over on the right is a link to a forum I am a member of called The Replica Prop Forum.  You can click on it and it will take you there.  One of the members posted about an article on a "Gentlemans" website, that was rather crude about Female costumers/cosplayers.  So, I click on over to see what was written, and immediately felt my blood pressure start to rise.  The link I will put below.

Now I don't know those women costumers/cosplayers.  I DO however speak to other member who DO know them.  I also know about how much work goes into making those costumes.  Many of these female costumers/cosplayers, do this for many reasons.  Several of them create these costumes, sew them themselves, spend their time and money to do this.  A few of the ladies also enjoy volunteering at local hospitals and charities to help kids.  For this misogynistic cretin to degrade them for a laugh in order to get a few page views to increase his paid advertising is repulsive to me.  His so-called apology, isn't.  It's an attempt to divert a bunch of upset people.  Women and men, one being myself, from spreading bad publicity about his site.  His so-called apology posted below.

The order states,“While natural gas production is carried out by private firms, and States are the primary regulators of onshore oil and gas activities, the Federal Government has an important role to play by regulating oil and gas activities on public and Indian trust lands, encouraging greater use of natural gas in transportation, supporting research and development aimed at improving the safety of natural gas development and transportation activities, andsetting sensible, cost-effective public health and environmental standards to implement Federal law and augment State safeguards.”

Levon Helm, Greg Ham and Dick Clark have died.

If you don't know who these gentlemen are, you have missed several generations of music.

Levon Helm, the drummer and lead vocalist of The Band, an iconic group of musicians backing famous artists, were famous in their own right.





Greg Ham the Saxophonist and flautist of Men At Work, led a Down Under Assault on the american airwaves.







And Dick Clark, a man who through his various endeavors, such as American Bandstand, brought bands and artists to the attention of america.







 We have lost 3 great men who have brought music to the world.

The weather here

Well let's see.  We got 3.98 inches of rain here officially.  3 miles north of us got 10.2 inches of rain.  According to the NWS there were 5 tornado's in the area.  Corpus, 40 miles south of here officially got 2.5 inches of rain.  And we possibly have more rain coming tonight/tomorrow.  Oh well, tomorrow I'll be draining out the battery box.  You know the batteries that power the inverter which powers my freezers.  The lid has a crack in it, and there are 8 inches of water in it.
