Who said it?
In many of the thousands of books I have read I have come upon many quotes, quotable quotes, quotes that by themselves so memorable that they MUST crawl into your brain and STAY there in perpetuity.
Some of those quotes have made it on to my Specialization page, others are bouncing around my brain until such a time as I can use them or attribute them properly.
Help me find the proper attribution for this one. It's either in a book or movie I've read or watched, or it is the product of my own mind.
"I only know two levels of payback. One level, you will be embarrassed and annoyed. The other you will be in the hospital or dead. Your choice."

Concealed Carry =/= Open Carry
A friend of mine who lives in Maine posted this new story about the reaction of a local politician when the idea of lessening restrictions of Concealed Carry passed the Legislature. The Politician in question is a Democrat.
"Another numb statement from a Democrat.. "Obviously, carrying a firearm in the open alerts the public — and law enforcement — of the gun’s presence. But if someone is going to be allowed to carry a deadly weapon in secret, Dion said, that person should have to demonstrate he or she is responsible and knows how to use a gun safely." #1. A citizen doesn't need to be "allowed" to do anything...it's called a right. Read the US and state Constitutions. Also nowhere in either does it say that only government and police should have guns and the manner to which they may be carried. #2. Laws have never prevented criminals from committing crimes. You would think a former sheriff would know that. If laws were that effective we really wouldn't need cops, jails and prisons. #3. So by his statement if you carry a gun openly (100% legal and has been for years) you don't have to demonstrate that you are responsible and know how to use a gun safely...because people can see it. However if you carry a gun concealed for whatever reason then you should have to prove those things. Yea....he's a smart one. The way the law is written now, you can't have a loaded handgun in a vehicle (goes for ATV's and snowmobiles too) unless you go through the process of getting a permit. It's for safety reasons they say...bullcrap. A gun is a gun and it's not any less safe because of a fee paid and a piece of paper. I hope this goes through this time and becomes law. Of course even if it does, down the road somebody can fight to get rid of it."
The story he is referring to is the following from the Bangor Daily News:
"Rep. Mark Dion, D-Portland, is a former Cumberland County sheriff and Portland police officer. He said Friday that open carry and concealed carry are fundamentally different acts.
Obviously, carrying a firearm in the open alerts the public — and law enforcement — of the gun’s presence. But if someone is going to be allowed to carry a deadly weapon in secret, Dion said, that person should have to demonstrate he or she is responsible and knows how to use a gun safely.
“If you open carry down Congress Street into Monument Square [in Portland], it’s going to cause some alarm with some individuals. But at the very least, you’re announcing the fact and there’s an opportunity for the police or others to react accordingly if you do anything that should cause concern,” he said. “I think it’s a bit flip to say, ‘This is just about throwing a coat on.’”

One of the biggest stories for years in the alternative media was the mysterious and foreboding purchase by Homeland Security of more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition.
Thanks to coverage on prominent sites like DrudgeReport, the story reached into mainstream media, prompting official spin and downplaying of the purchase.
Now, a new Homeland Security purchase order listed on FedBizOpps also raises an eyebrow or two, given the heated and divided political and social climate at hand. Just look at what happened in Ferguson…
A request for "less lethal specialty munitions" for use by Homeland Security dated March 23, 2015 reads:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit responses to Request for Information (RFI) 20082225-JTC for Less Lethal Specialty Munitions (LLSM) for use by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). CBP is interested in incorporating commercial and industry practices that support this type of procurement. To accomplish this, CBP intends to make industry a partner in all facets of the acquisition process, specifically by considering existing market capabilities, strengths and weaknesses for the acquisition of this commodity.
Over the course of 9 pages (PDF), the technical requirements call for an arsenal of specialized weaponry for training and deployment against crowds.
On top of a wide range of gas and chemical grenades, rubber bullets and other riot rounds, the purchase calls for "controlled noise and light distraction devices," including flash bangs which set off a 175 dB sound with 6 – 8 million candelas light bursts in 10 milliseconds.
So why are the Feds prepping to take on crowds?
Officially, the request is put through Customs and Border Patrol, a subset of the Department of Homeland Security, but it is unlikely that the equipment will be used to protect the border and keep out illegal aliens. But the riot gear and crowd control devices have many potential uses.
Perhaps, the equipment for use in instances like last year, when protesters in Murrieta confronted Customs and Border Patrol agents and blocked buses carrying a wave of illegal immigrants from Central America?

My Sister In Law, had finally made Chief Petty Officer in the Navy Reserve 2 years ago. Eight months later, 8 MONTHS LATER, she retired, rather than staying in and being run roughshod over by commanders who were more concerned with nickle and dime dot every i and cross every t no matter what, than with the training and readiness of those underneath their command. She could no longer LEAD by example, she had to COACH and cajole, compliance, and still re responsible for anything that happened or didn't get finished to spec.
That is NOT how you run a military that will succeed. That is how you destroy a military unit's morale, effectiveness, and readiness.
When I was in the Army Reserves, it was pretty laid back, but I NEVER would have NOT done what I was ordered to do, no matter WHAT.
Because I KNEW SSG, Bromsky would kick my A**, if I didn't. He wouldn't hand out a punitive beating, he would give me a set of lumps and then stay with me to make sure I got what needed to be done, done. And once when I was COMPLETELY over my head, SSG Bromsky the man I was terrified of disobeying, became one of the most patient teachers, taking hours out of his own time, after drill, to help me to learn how to do my job PROPERLY.
I knew that if I effed up, I would get a set of lumps and I would deserve them. However I also knew that if I really needed help, I would get it.
These days, an NCO can no longer deliver a set of lumps, and is forbidden to correct behaviors with anything other than talking too or writing someone up. NCO's can't even YELL at screwups in some places.
I saw a video of new recruits going through Basic Training and I saw just how restricted they were compared to my DI's, which is nothing compared to DI's even further back in history.
And then look at what is happening today.
How will our nation have a force to defends us, if we can't even enforce proper training and behavior or our troops?
Obama wants to geld or neuter or armed forces, if he can continue, in just a few short years, you will find out our nations honor will be destroyed by stories like these.

Steve Harvey did a bit on his radio show and this woman heard it. He child has Autism, and I have a child with Aspergers, which is in the Autism Spectrum. When I heard what this woman said about Mr. Harvey's "Comedy" bit, I was actually outraged myself. I'll let you watch her video and hear for yourself.
Mr. Harvey, if you or your "People" read this, you should be ashamed of yourself. What you did is an insult to each and every person who who is disabled/challenged by a developmental disorder. It is spitting on them for the sake of your "Comedy". And it is a slap in the face for the family members of those afflicted. The people who live with and raise those who, through no fault of their own have found themselves under the burdens of these disorders.
