SSA Finalizes New Gun Prohibition Rule
"On Monday, Barack Obama’s Social Security Administration (SSA) issued the final version of a rule that will doom tens of thousands of law-abiding (and vulnerable) disability insurance and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients to a loss of Second Amendment rights under the guise of re-characterizing them as “mental defectives.” The SSA, for the first time in its history, will be coopted into the federal government’s gun control apparatus, effectively requiring Social Security applicants to weigh their need for benefits against their fundamental rights when applying for assistance based on mental health problems
Barack Obama’s political party and the presidential candidate he personally endorsed and campaigned for suffered perhaps the most dramatic rebuke in the history of American politics with the election of Donald J. Trump. Far from being humbled or chastened, however, Obama is spending the waning days of his presidency releasing duly convicted felons from prison, making low-level appointments, and pushing pet policy projects, all to do something, anything, to leave his stamp after a lackluster tenure."

Why Gun control doesn't work.
Because those who get arrested for violating firearms laws don't get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,
from SCC
"Mousheh bought a Glock pistol and reported it stolen, police said. It was later recovered from a juvenile in the 10th District. Mousheh called a Firearms Investigation Team sergeant and asked how to get her stolen gun back.
The team investigated and found that Mousheh had bought four Glocks in the last six months, police said. Each cost about $600.
She also made a $1,000 cash deposit on a firearm designed for the military that is capable of firing a round that can pierce a bulletproof vest, though she works in a chocolate factory with no additional source of income, according to police.
But according to sources, she'll get.....probation! For violations of Federal firearms laws. When ten years per count is the norm and might actually deter others from, you know, dealing in firearms."
Remember how many people LIED on their 4473's and DID NOT get prosecuted?
Lying on a 4473 is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. NOT State. FEDERAL. And the DOJ Declined to prosecute -(PDF of DOJ's OWN STATS).

Remember Minotiry report's "Pre-Crime" division?
Well Washington State evidently has started up their own version of it.
"WA Goes After Pre-Crime: Gun Confiscation Proposed For Those "Likely To Commit Violence In The Near Future"
by Tyler Durden
Sep 27, 2016 9:10 PM
A new ballot measure being considered by voters in Washington State, officially referred to a Initiative Measure 1491, would allow authorities to seize guns from people considered "significantly more likely to commit violence toward themselves or others in the near future." The legislation would allow authorities with a court order to seize an individual's guns for a period of up to 1 year. Under the measure, gun owners would have the right to appeal a court order to have their guns returned but would have no ability to block the upfront confiscation.
The full text of Initiative Measure 1491 is included at the end of this post but below are a couple of key excerpts:
This act is designed to temporarily prevent individuals who are at high risk of harming themselves or others from accessing firearms by allowing family, household members, and police to obtain a court order when there is demonstrated evidence that the person poses a significant danger, including danger as a result of a dangerous mental health crisis or violent behavior.
Studies show that individuals who engage in certain dangerous behaviors are significantly more likely to commit violence toward themselves or others in the near future. These behaviors, which can include other acts or threats of violence, self-harm, or the abuse of drugs or alcohol, are warning signs that the person may soon commit an act of violence.
Individuals who pose a danger to themselves or others often exhibit signs that alert family, household members, or law enforcement to the threat. Many mass shooters displayed warning signs prior to their killings, but federal and state laws provided no clear legal process to suspend the shooters' access to guns, even temporarily."
I'd like to know what is bar for removal? And who decides? Is it a Psychiatrist? Or some person in an office with no training or certifications?

How They Could Confiscate Your AR-15
From The Future of Freedom Foundation:
"Anyone who thinks it would be difficult for U.S. officials to confiscate people’s AR-15s and other semi-automatic weapons forgets how they confiscated everyone’s gold coins in the 1930s. It would be as easy to confiscate guns as it was to confiscate gold coins.
To get people’s gold coins, they didn’t send swarms of federal agents across the land to conduct warrantless searches of people’s homes, businesses, and safety deposit boxes. Instead, they simply made it a felony offense to own gold coins, notwithstanding the fact that under the U.S. Constitution gold coins had been the official money of the United States for more than a century. Once that law was enacted, American citizens had a choice to make: (1) continue holding the gold coins and risk getting caught and prosecuted for a felony offense, or (2) comply with the law by delivering their gold coins to the government as the law required.
Some Americans decided to take the risk and keep their gold, believing their coins would enable them to protect their wealth against the oncoming monetary debasement (i.e., inflation) at the hands of the Federal Reserve. Others decided that avoiding confiscation of their assets through inflation wasn’t worth the risk of serving several years in a federal penitentiary."

Media Narrative FAIL!!!
I haven't said much about the Mass Murder event in Orlando because it sickens me and we don't have all of the FACTS as of yet.
However, that doesn't stop the Lame Stream Media from pushing their INCORRECT Narrative and Agenda.
From Bob Owens at Bearing Arms:
"The anti-gun politimedia wasted no time at all demonizing the most common rifle in the United States as being the real villain of the Islamic terrorist attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
Newsweek screamed, “ORLANDO SHOOTING PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON AR-15 RIFLE.”
Judd Legume of Think Progress squeaked, “The NRA’s Love Affair With The AR-15, Weapon Of Choice For Mass Murderers, In 22 Tweets.”
Always wrong Christopher Ingraham of the Washington Post whined, “The gun used in the Orlando shooting is becoming mass shooters’ weapon of choice.”
Here’s the thing.
The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was not an AR-15."
Click on the above link to RTWT.
Here is the thing though. The media and the Anti-gunner DON'T CARE.
They don't care if what they saying is wrong. They are going to keep screaming and yelling to drown out anyone who even TRIES to get the truth out there.
They will conveniently IGNORE the fact that the FBI screwed up. they will IGNORE the fact that this murderer's own co workers reported him and were brushed off as being "Racist". they don't CARE that he was evidently either a Gay or Bi-sexual Muslim. It was the GUN and the NRA's fault, the FBI didn't do due diligence in their investigation. It was the Gun and the NRA's fault this guy was able to pass a NICS check not once but TWICE. It's the GUN and the NRA's fault, that this murderer had a clearance obtained through a background check performed by the FBI. It is the GUN and the NRA's fault that the murderer had over 30 MINUTES to kill people before the police even responded.
You see the TRUTH is the first victim.

Commit a Misdemeanor banned from owning a gun?
"Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Casey announced he will introduce legislation to keep guns out of the hands of those who commit criminal acts based on hate. The Hate Crimes Prevention Act would prohibit the purchase, possession or shipment of a firearm by anyone convicted of a misdemeanor hate crime or who received a hate crime sentence enhancement, according to a statement from Casey’s office on Monday. It would also prohibit the sale of firearms to anyone reasonably suspected to be guilty of a misdemeanor hate crime."
H/T Gay Patriot
Remember how when the "Lautenberg Amendment" went into affect? When you could be convicted of a Misdemeanor Domestic Violence charge for and lose your Rights to own a firearm?
Do you know how many Law Enforcement officers, deputies and agents got caught in that? And what about the people who got wrongly convicted? And there have been MANY of them. So many that there has been a petition to get Congress to act.
Well NOW, Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, wants to make it if you so much as speak your mind about how they ways things are going, you can be banned from owning a firearm. THEY get to decide what is and isn't a "Hate Crime". Remember those college students getting "Traumatized" by someone writing "Trump 2016" in chalk on a sidewalk? Yeah if you had doe that, they want you "Convicted" of a "Hate Crime" and ban you from exercising your "Constitutional Rights"

And Obama says you can buy these anywhere
That is a Select Fire, Fully Transferable, NFA Registered, M2 Carbine manufactured in 1943. Obama and his anti-gun minions would have you believe you can buy this anywhere at anytime, for less than the cost of fresh vegetables. Well the "OPENING" bid for this rifle is $9,500.00, and for a rifle in this condition and history, that is actually LOW.
I actually expect this rifle to sell for at least $15,000.00, and more likely around 17-18 thousand.
And yet according to the anti-gun idiots, these guns sell for 20-30 dollars. Yeah right.
Granted with a few machine tools plumbing pipes, exhaust pipes and some scrap sheet metal and bar stock a reasonably knowledgeable person CAN make a weapon that is capable of automatic fire. For less than $50.00 I wouldn't want to fire more than 2 or 3 mags through it and beyond 10-15 yards you're safer being the target than the firer. But Obama points to the above weapon and says THAT is what he wants off the streets. No it isn't. It isn't ON the streets and unless it is stolen it never will be. That rifle above is a work of artistry, a beautiful piece of fine machinery, it might be removed from the safe once a week for a loving wipe down with a fine silicone oil impregnated cloth while wearing silk or cotton gloves to protect the finish. It might go to the range and get fired 2-5 times a year. And then painstakingly cleaned and re-oiled then put back into the safe.
So be careful who you listen to. Because some people who know NOTHING about the reality about firearms will try to blow smoke up your nethers like a drowning victim, others like myself will tell you the FACTS, and we will PROVIDE the facts that you can go verify yourself if you want to.

Washington Post Reports Bloomberg Group Planned Deceptive Racially-Charged Attack Ads
"A hallmark of NRA, and one of the reasons we garner significant support from Americans across the political spectrum, is our sole dedication to issues pertaining to the right to keep and bear arms. To be sure, there are plenty of facets to our mission (hunting, Right-to-Carry, self-defense laws), but it is all connected to the American peoples' right to possess and use arms. With this comes a measure of honesty; everyone knows just what NRA stands for. Michael Bloomberg's Everytown for Gun Safety on the other hand seems to think the merits of their anti-gun positions aren’t enough to win on, and in one Virginia Senate Race resorted to planning spurious attacks on their opponent that were wholly unrelated to the group's gun control mission.
In recent weeks Bloomberg has interjected himself and his exorbitant wealth into two Virginia state senate races. According to the Washington Post, Everytown allocated $1.5 million to run advertisements in the 29th Senate District race attacking pro-gun candidate Harry J. "Hal" Parrish II. The group allocated a further $700,000 for ads attacking pro-gun candidate Glen Sturtevant, who is running in the 10th Senate District."

Borepatch has found some Truth in the Gun Control discussion
"But what's interesting is Vox's conclusion:
Large-scale confiscation is not going to happen. That's no reason to stop advocating it.
So finally we have an honest debate. This is about confiscation. Even the Left doesn't think that's going to happen. But at least we can reject the grotesque lies that have been put up as a smoke screen ("common sense gun control"). Truth is a Very Good Thing Indeed."

NRA-ILA - Reduce Firearm Ownership, Say Anti-Gun Researchers
"A new “study” by David Swedler, trained at the (gun control crusader Michael) Bloomberg School of Public Health, and co-authored by longtime anti-gun researcher David Hemenway, of the Harvard School of Public Health, uses rigged methodology to conclude that law enforcement officers are more likely to be murdered in states that have higher levels of gun ownership. As a result, Swedler and Hemenway say, “States could consider methods for reducing firearm ownership as a way to reduce occupational deaths of LEOs.”
In what may be the understatement of the century, Swedler and Hemenway concede that it’s “possible” that law enforcement officers are more likely to be murdered than other Americans because they have “more frequent encounters with motivated violent offenders.” To say the least. According to the FBI, from 2004 to 2013, 46 percent of officer murderers had prior arrests for crimes of violence, 63 percent had been convicted on prior criminal charges, 50 percent had received probation or parole for prior criminal charges, and 26 percent were under judicial supervision, including probation, parole, and conditional release, at the time of the officers’ murders.
On the other hand, Swedler and Hemenway say, law enforcement officers are able to defend themselves because they carry handguns, an argument that on its face endorses the carrying of handguns by private citizens, which is certainly not what the anti-gunners intended."
What do we expect from this current administration?

Mass Shootings and Gun Control
When Charles Whitman began his shooting rampage at the University of
Texas in 1966, a lot of locals grabbed their rifles and started shooting
back. They kept him pinned down until the police could sneak up the
tower and kill him.
That's what many gun control proponents refuse to admit.
Gun Control isn't about Guns.
It is about Control.

Concealed Carry =/= Open Carry
A friend of mine who lives in Maine posted this new story about the reaction of a local politician when the idea of lessening restrictions of Concealed Carry passed the Legislature. The Politician in question is a Democrat.
"Another numb statement from a Democrat.. "Obviously, carrying a firearm in the open alerts the public — and law enforcement — of the gun’s presence. But if someone is going to be allowed to carry a deadly weapon in secret, Dion said, that person should have to demonstrate he or she is responsible and knows how to use a gun safely." #1. A citizen doesn't need to be "allowed" to do anything...it's called a right. Read the US and state Constitutions. Also nowhere in either does it say that only government and police should have guns and the manner to which they may be carried. #2. Laws have never prevented criminals from committing crimes. You would think a former sheriff would know that. If laws were that effective we really wouldn't need cops, jails and prisons. #3. So by his statement if you carry a gun openly (100% legal and has been for years) you don't have to demonstrate that you are responsible and know how to use a gun safely...because people can see it. However if you carry a gun concealed for whatever reason then you should have to prove those things. Yea....he's a smart one. The way the law is written now, you can't have a loaded handgun in a vehicle (goes for ATV's and snowmobiles too) unless you go through the process of getting a permit. It's for safety reasons they say...bullcrap. A gun is a gun and it's not any less safe because of a fee paid and a piece of paper. I hope this goes through this time and becomes law. Of course even if it does, down the road somebody can fight to get rid of it."
The story he is referring to is the following from the Bangor Daily News:
"Rep. Mark Dion, D-Portland, is a former Cumberland County sheriff and Portland police officer. He said Friday that open carry and concealed carry are fundamentally different acts.
Obviously, carrying a firearm in the open alerts the public — and law enforcement — of the gun’s presence. But if someone is going to be allowed to carry a deadly weapon in secret, Dion said, that person should have to demonstrate he or she is responsible and knows how to use a gun safely.
“If you open carry down Congress Street into Monument Square [in Portland], it’s going to cause some alarm with some individuals. But at the very least, you’re announcing the fact and there’s an opportunity for the police or others to react accordingly if you do anything that should cause concern,” he said. “I think it’s a bit flip to say, ‘This is just about throwing a coat on.’”
