"Unfortunately, as she has learned, Dillard Smith’s view of the ACLU bears little relation to reality. The ACLU’s goal — like that of the LGBT movement — is to shove a radical agenda down the throats of the American people, not to balance rights and find reasonable accommodations.
A transgender activist — a biological male who goes by the name Cheryl Courtney-Evans — responded to Dillard Smith’s resignation by calling her “lazy,” “ill-educated,” and a “b–ch” who needs to sit down and “STFU.” No one who has seen LGBT activists in action will be surprised by this charming response.
Actually, Dillard Smith is well educated. She earned a degree in economics from Berkeley and a master’s degree at Harvard.
She’s also a liberal Democrat. And until she resigned, she was one of the youngest ACLU directors in the nation and one of only three African-Americans employed by the ACLU in that role."
When it affects her and her children, NOW she's concerned. And yet when "WE" are concerned she and others like her label us as Bigot's, Racist's etc ad nauseum.

But it's for your safety
ACLU: Police Documents on License Plate Scanners Reveal Mass Tracking
Believe the title if you wish, but I see no reason for anyone to know where I go or what I do unless I am committing a crime. And until I commit a crime, the .GOV has no right nor need to track me or my movements.

Is the ACLU going to say anything about this?
"The ATF doesn’t just want a huge database to reveal everything about you with a few keywords. It wants one that can find out who you know. And it won’t even try to friend you on Facebook first.
According to a recent solicitation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the bureau is looking to buy a “massive online data repository system” for its Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information (OSII). The system is intended to operate for at least five years, and be able to process automated searches of individuals, and “find connection points between two or more individuals” by linking together “structured and unstructured data.”
I mean they think Reid background check bill is stepping over the line, are they going to say anything abut this?

The ACLU against Backround checks?
Ok, who slipped the drugs into the water supply?
"As Senate Democrats struggle to build support for new gun control legislation, the American Civil Liberties Union now says it’s among those who have “serious concerns” about the bill.
Those concerns have the capacity to prove a major setback to Sen. Harry Reid’s current gun bill, which includes language from earlier bills introduced by Sens. Chuck Schumer and Barbara Boxer."

I thought under Obama warrant-less wiretaps wouldn't be done any more
"The ACLU released a report this week that shows that under Obama and his Attorney General Eric Holder, warrantless wiretapping and monitoring of American's electronic communications is "sharply on the rise."
After months of litigation and Freedom of Information Act requests, the ACLU obtained documents from the federal government proving that real-time monitoring of electronic communications inside the U.S. has climbed 60 percent since 2009 and far surpasses monitoring under President Bush. The ACLU reports that the Dept. of Justice used "pen register" and "trap and trace" techniques 23,535 times in 2009 and 37,616 times in 2011."
And I don't hear any leftists screaming about this like they did over President Bush's use of warrant-less wiretaps. Hypocrisy thy name is Leftists.
