Illinois Judge arrested for Heroin and firearms possession

"ST. LOUIS (AP) — A southwestern Illinois judge already under scrutiny after a colleague died of a cocaine overdose at his family's hunting lodge was charged Friday with possession of heroin and guns.

Wearing cutoff shorts and a T-shirt with the slogan "Bad is my middle name," St. Clair County Circuit Judge Michael Cook pleaded not guilty to federal counts of possessing heroin and having a firearm while being an illegal user of controlled substances. The criminal complaint alleges those offenses took place Thursday, and that Cook is an addict."

Another Judge died from Cocaine Overdose and this Judge is arrested with Heroin and Firearms.

Is there any wonder why there is so much corruption in Illinois?

"A recently introduced bill in the Illinois state Senate would require anonymous website comment posters to reveal their identities if they want to keep their comments online.

The bill, called the Internet Posting Removal Act, is sponsored by Illinois state Sen. Ira Silverstein. It states that a “web site administrator upon request shall remove any comments posted on his or her web site by an anonymous poster unless the anonymous poster agrees to attach his or her name to the post and confirms that his or her IP address, legal name, and home address are accurate.”

Notice where it is?  How long until the politicians require you to have a license to speak your mind?

"Insurance chain State Farm is reportedly buying up substantial workspace in Texas, which may signal a coming exodus from the company's home state of Illinois.

State Farm is keeping the move quiet so as not to alarm employees. But the Dallas Morning News reports that it is a “major business relocation” already underway and that this is “one of the biggest stories in the Dallas-area real estate market and will ultimately involve thousands of workers.”"

"1. Gary McCarthy was found “guilty” in March 2006 over an traffic altercation he had in 2005 with two New Jersey police officers. A traffic court judge ruled that Gary McCarthy had blocked vehicular traffic with his police-issued car while he and his wife confronted two plainclothes members of the Palisades Interstate Police at a gas station along the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The officers in question had just issued a summons to McCarthy’s 19-year-old daughter, who was driving another car and became verbally confrontational toward the two police officers whom in essence were enforcing the law. When Gary McCarthy had arrived on scene he was clearly irate and violently confrontational and had to be grabbed by the two police officers whom also confiscated McCarthy’s firearm and handcuffed him as well as restrained his wife when she attempted to grab the gun from the two police officers. The judge fined McCarthy $200 for blocking traffic.


NOTE: Had this incident occurred in New York City to an NYPD Police Officer the individual in question would be charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Assault on a Police Officer, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. That is not even including the possibility of driving while intoxicated. Now mind you that is just the charges faced by an average civilian. McCarthy was acting as representative of the New York City Police Department so imagine when the next incident occurs, in what capacity is he going to be acting in Newark Police Director?"

"Illinois prisons are preparing to introduce a more restrictive early-release program to replace one that was halted three years ago amid public outcry over inmates serving just fractions of their sentences.

Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn shut down the former program after The Associated Press reported that 1,745 inmates -- some convicted of violent crimes -- had been released within weeks or even days of their arrival at the penitentiary."

At the time of his arrest, Guerra was on parole in a 2010 robbery for which he was sentenced to 6 years in prison, but for which he was released on parole in December 2011, according to state Department of Corrections records.

That isn't 85% of a sentence, that isn't even day-for-day credit. He's out in ONE YEAR for a SIX YEAR SENTENCE, and now someone is going to be dead because of it. How many times did we cover this last year alone? Two? Three times? And that's only the ones we know about. How many more are there? Dozens? Hundreds?

Illinois trying to end run the Constitution AGAIN

"Wow, thieving politicians in Illinois just don't quit. They have been spanked numerous times in court, to the point that the SAF is practically funded by Chicago and the state, so they are going to Quinn-tuple down on the totalitarianism. They plan tomorrow to attempt to ram through a bill banning just about all firearms-not just evil scary black rifles, but apparently any gun above a single shot. Even your duck guns, Mr Fudd. Confiscation is the aim. Made possible by the insanity of a FOID card. But all the apologists say registration never leads to confiscation.

We need a constitutional amendment applying all laws equally to the government that they would apply to the supposed citizens."
