"Last week, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, found a loophole in the “assault weapon” ban in Washington to bring 10 rifles to her hearing as a prop intended to show that these same rifles should be prohibited on a national level. The Washington Metropolitan Police Department and Philadelphia Police Department brought the illicit weapons to the press conference, aided by the U.S. Capitol Police and the Senate Sergeant at Arms. "
And yet Republican Senators were denied when they attempted to bring firearms to disprove the hype and myths.
Nothing like tying the oppositions hands as much as possible.

Girl Genius Wiki
You have probably seen my postings about Agatha Heterodyne and Girl Genius. If you are an addicted to Agatha's story as I am, you will like to learn some of the background about the characters.
Well I've been listening to the news but I've escaped the sadness and the fury of what I am seeing and hearing. And I found the Girl Genius Wiki page.
Lose yourself in the background. And please don't forget to pray.

Mind Messer-from the inbox
If this doesn't mess up your mind, I don't know what will! For the thinker or Draftsman.
1. Look from left to right from top to bottom.
The rod in the middle does not exist.
2. How many, 7 or 10. Count at the top and then at the bottom.
And NO I don't know how they work, but I think I need new glasses!

Climate change
"Did you know that the Earth is getting greener, quite literally? Satellites are now confirming that the amount of green vegetation on the planet has been increasing for three decades. This will be news to those accustomed to alarming tales about deforestation, overdevelopment and ecosystem destruction.
This possibility was first suspected in 1985 by Charles Keeling, the scientist whose meticulous record of the content of the air atop Mauna Loa in Hawaii first alerted the world to the increasing concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Mr. Keeling's famous curve showed not only a year-by-year increase in carbon dioxide levels but a season-by-season oscillation in the concentration."

And this is the agency responsible for enforcing gun laws
"When the 10-month operation was shut down after the burglary, agents
and Milwaukee police officers who participated in the sting cleared out
the store but left behind a sensitive document that listed names,
vehicles and phone numbers of undercover agents.
And the agency remains locked in a battle with the building's owner, who says he is owed about $15,000 because of utility bills, holes in the walls, broken doors and damage from an overflowing toilet."
Going into a so called high crime area with an already declining crime rate, buying firearms for almost twice as much as their current value, lackadaisical records keeping, inept and ill thought operating procedures. Coupled with other incidents, is it any wonder that people don't trust them?
When you can't even properly identify a subject for prosecution, something has gone extremely wrong.

Mis-information in the gun control debate
Gabby Giffords was in Congress today, saying that a Universal Background Check would have stopped Her Shooter. When she KNOWS that is wrong. Jared Loughner bought his pistol legally through a FFL who did a NICS background check on him at the time of the sale. Loughner passed that background check because of the Thin Blue Line. Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik and his deputies KNEW that Loughner had made threats against people, they KNEW that his drug use was out of control. And yet because his mother was part of that Thin Blue Line in the county's animal control division, they didn't report his actions to be included in the NICS system, they suppressed his continuing bizarre and worsening behavior from being "Officially" noticed.
And yet while she and others in power KNOW this, they won't acknowledge it. Because it shows that the problem ISN'T firearms, it IS Mental Health and political privilege.
Many of these spree shooters have shown signs of mental illness before they went on their sprees. And yet they were able to pass a NICS check. Why? Because their mental illness was NOT reported by health professionals as they are required to be by LAW. James Holmes according to reports was trying to get help for his mental health issues before he went on his spree, but was unable to. The system that is broke isn't the NICS system it is the Heath System and the local political systems which cover up problems to "Protect Their Own" which is the issue.
So the rest of us who have no mental health issues or criminal records who are being singled out as the cause of these shootings.
All to protect the politicians and the doctors and bureaucrats who have failed to do what the law requires them to do.
Lets make it more illegaler to do something, lets make a law telling our departments to do the job the law already tells them to do. Lets make it a crime to commit a crime.
All diversions from their own responsibilities under the law.
And their rush to avoid the consequences for their actions and inactions they and their willing accomplices in the media are rushing to force through more restrictions which will not do anything to reduce these tragedies. Only to assuage their own collective guilt and to further restrict the Rights of all Citizens.

Book Binding
Many years ago I worked for Minuteman Press and we had several machines that did the majority of the steps in this process. Just in case you want to try this yourself, the tutorial doesn't tell you the type of glue to use. At Minuteman we used regular Elmers White glue. We bought it by the case in gallon jugs. We had a machine that would punch the holes, another that would automatically sew the parts together, Another machine to cut all of our paper and cardboard for the binding, and another designed to cut the fabric we used for the covers. Basically all the steps you see in the tutorial. Except we used machines for about 85% of it. The hardest part was getting all the pieces of the book in order. Take 1 from this stack, then 1 from that stack then 1 from the next stack and so forth. That we did by hand. Also we printed the content ran it through a machine to fold and cut it. All in all we would go from whatever you wanted printed and bound to 10 boxes equaling 250 books (Our minimum order) in about 9 days. If you wanted Leather Bound it would take longer depending on the design you wanted, the type of leather, and if you wanted glued or stitched edges and embossing. But if you wanted to bind a book for yourself this tutorial shows how to do it.

Charities aren't going to be there.
"In approaching this issue, the Obama administration has had all of the wrong instincts. It has been adamant in its insistence that all changes on the revenue side increase the level of progressivity. The Tax Reform Act of 2012 thus moves the top marginal rates up to 39.6 percent, without accounting for the Medicare override of 3.8 percent that hits all taxpayers in the maximum tax bracket, making their combined rate 43.5 percent, which is above the Clinton norms. Since taxable deductions are not allowed against the Medicare excise tax, the administration has already taken a first step toward its goal of limiting the deductions that are available to high-income taxpayers."

Earlier screening for Pancreatic cancer found by 15 year old
"If you’re feeling anxious about how U.S. kids lag the world in science and math, or just in a funk about politics or the mess in Europe, take in this story of a high school freshman from Crownsville, Md. who came up with a prize-winning breakthrough that could change how cancer and other fatal diseases are diagnosed and treated."
This shows why we need to be spending more in the science classrooms and less in the athletic departments.

Amnesty?
"Language is very important in politics. The earliest stage of a political fight is often the fight to gain control of the terms used in the debate. Supporters of the bland sounding “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” really don’t like it when opponents call their various schemes “amnesty”. Why? No one wants to be seen as rewarding criminal behavior even when that’s EXACTLY what they are doing. So supporters of amnesty will go to great lengths and intellectual contortions to make sure no one dares use that term."
You really need to go over and read that. Check all the links as well. It is rather illuminating.

Correlation do you understand it?
"The global average of 6.9 murders per 100,000 people is
the benchmark for individual governments to monitor where things may be
going very wrong within their own countries.
Latin America has consistently had many of the highest murder rates
in the world.
Many of the murders are related to the drug cartels that operate within the area.
The Venezuela Violence Observatory reported at least 19,336 people have been killed in 2011, an average of 53 people a day. As an indicator Venezuela had one of the highest murder rates in the world of 67 people per 100,000."
Seriously, do you understand the causation and correlation of Gun Control?

Remember even paranoids have enemies
However I'm starting to wonder if paranoia will be a new "Mental" health disorder that would allow you to be a involuntary guest somewhere.
"What is the US federal government preparing for? And why does it feel it needs an army of brainwashed youth, millions of guns, thousands of armored fighting vehicles and literally billions of rounds of ammunition, just to provide relief to the American people during a natural disaster? Any historian will tell you it sounds more like the arming of the Hitler Youth than an army of first responders fighting forest fires and hurricanes"
Make you go Hmmmmmmm doesn't it?
Then you have the remembrances of someone who has lived through the horror of a socialist government. And is seeing correlations to what is happening now.
"Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily."
"No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up."
This reminds me of the quotation: "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
Right now many are myopic as it relates to the history of our world. And they are willingly forcing us down the road to repeat it. With their calls of "Fairness" and "Common Sense". Fair for Whom? And who defines what is or isn't "Common Sense"? It is slowly turning to the rule of the majority inflicting their will on the minority. Our Constitution has safeguards in it to prevent that. However the current administration has done everything in it's power to water and dilute those safeguards so for all intents and purposes they no longer exist or apply.

Remember according to the Supreme Court the police have no duty
to protect you or your family.
So much for police protection in New York City!
And yet the .GOV and the anti-rightists would want to leave you unarmed and defenseless against a criminal who might "STAB" you 7 times in less than a minute.

Information vs ideology
"A minute or so later, we're talking information again and I had to stop him, "See, there you go again. You're talking information related to this thing. You can't talk information with these people, it's always ideology."
